I got a nice puff going now and my hair is now bob length (if pulled straight) and now I’m on a journey to grow out my undercut. It’s hard to commit to growing something out but I’m determined and you’re an inspiration. If you can grow out your color, I can grow out my undercut!

    Thank you for sharing! I have damaged my hsir before with color. I have thicker hair so it took a minute but it definitely happened eventually. I hate seeing people constantly saying rude things about your hair and expecting you to be open about it. I get people wanting to help but some things came off very rude especially with you being such a nice person. At the end of the day you have fun with it because now that I stopped coloring my hair and rock it dark , sometimes I miss the fun I had when I wasnt so scared of trying new things.

    • @NaturalReign
      @NaturalReign  11 місяців тому +8

      I share for people like you who genuinely enjoy the transparency. I think people believe that if I knew I’d get color damage that I wouldn’t have colored it. That’s not the case. I wanted to have fun with color without all the restrictions… so I did! I love that I was able to have fun and I did it knowing my hair will grow back. ❤️

    I think your growth is lovely in all its stages ❤ you’re doing better than me, I am 100% a lazy natural so your hair is healthier than mine, I be over it. I appreciate you showing all aspects of your journey with us. I’ve been following you for years and your crown never cease to amaze.
    Also, kudos to you because I be losing faith and patience with my hair so I know how it is to get frustrated and bored and this is your business so girl … I know you don’t need my validation, but I see you and I feel you. Natural hair is just not easy and when you’ve been growing your hair for so long you do grow attached so when setbacks happen they feel more major than they are. Seeing you do your thing makes me want to keep going, so I thank you for that as well.

And you have to do what you have to do. But if the Universe revolved around me.. it'd be different. Think the contrast is better than eating frosted flakes.. you walking around like that puts me over the top. You can tell what I'm here for. Had to admit it once. Now never have to admit it again. I've been coloring my hair since high-school similar somewhat hair to reign...the best way to color hair ESPECIALLY kinky curly textures is to be MODEST with the hair color meaning do not lift the hair too many levels..if you only lift about 2-3 max 4 levels it will be healthier and easier to maintain compared to lifting it 5-8 levels..basically only lift the hair to a dark-medium brown..going blonde is where the damage is easy to come...

    • @jadawallace7329
      @jadawallace7329 11 місяців тому

      I recommend maybe doing brown, burgundy, dark reds, dark purples, auburns
      You can achieve this by lightening your hair with developer ONLY (30 or 20 vol for 30-45mins) and going over with a semi permanent adore colour . That way you’re not lifting too many levels and if you get bored easily, you can switch it up often because semi permanent dye isn’t really damaging 😊

    Be a lot like your curl pattern and texture. I just colored it ( went lighter). My wash and go look more
    Course now, so I’m going to try twist and
    Bantu knots to maintain more moisture. Any suggestions!

    I was doing this but I heard the damaged colored hair will break the good hair I just went bald no more color ❌❌

    • @NaturalReign
      @NaturalReign  11 місяців тому +1

      That’s definitely true if you have a lot of split ends. I wouldn’t recommend my process to everyone, but my new growth is super healthy with no breakage. I’m slowly cutting the color and making sure my ends don’t split up to my healthy hair. Also I have like 7 inches or so of color so it would take a while to break my new growth.

    A few factors: Repeatedly doing highlift color, changing the color & then heat styling. Bound to happen. I bleach twice a year, protein every month, low heat. And trim every 3 months. That’s the only way for me to not be bald while blonde lol

    Girl isn’t it possible though to transition out dyed hair instead of big chopping it all off? If we are able to transition from relaxed to natural and that be possible, than why can’t transitioning from heat/color damage be possible too?

    • @NaturalReign

      I have been transitioning. I don’t have to big chop. It’s a choice. I won’t chop until my new growth is a place I’m comfortable with.

    i think you could try darker colors, like a deep red or purple, so the bleached hair have more depth to it, and the thinning doesent show as much, a tip from someone that also f*ckd up with bleach a few years ago xD
