- Harley Sportster VS. Harley Street Bob 114 How DO I CHOOSE!?? The biggest question I get having two bike is, how do you chose which one you're going to ride? Luckily this a good problem to have. I will ride out on both bike and talk about when and where I chose to ride each one!

I now have a 114 street bob but sometimes i miss my old iron 883, wirh the shortshots has the best sound ever heard on a motorcycle
I had to keep mines
I like having a street oriented motorcycle and a motorcycle that can be taken off road. I like my 2007 Sportster 1200 on the backroads of Middle Tennessee. I'm not into city riding because of the inattentive drivers. I live out in the country and there are tons of nice smooth asphalt roads to ride. I also live in a county, which has become the place to ride adventure motorcycles in Middle Tennessee. We have over 800 miles of unpaved roads. Some are barely passable in most cars. I have a Kawasaki Versys-x 300 that does great on these chert/dirt roads as well as around and over big rocks. I put a pair of knobby tires on it and it hangs with most dual sports. It also gets 70+ mpg. I also take it on small errands due to the mpg and cargo capacity it has. The Kawasaki is more of a tool and the Harley is more of a toy. Both are very enjoyable to ride. It's nice to have motorcycles for different types of rides.
I started on a 2020 iron 883 and traded in for my current ‘21 Low Rider S 114. While I don’t regret getting the FXLRS at all, I do miss my sporty. I wouldn’t mind getting another one. Might just do that, BUT! I will have to, have to, have to, put a 1250 or 1275 Hammer kit in it for sure! That would be seriously fun! I miss the smaller, lighter weight of the sportster.
Yeah I love the option of hopping on the sporty if I want to
I can’t believe your mileage. I’ve have the iron 883 and I’m always getting around 130miles out of the tank. I really like the street bob, I’m waiting for a grey one to come up.
Yeah I get better over 100 miles on the highway but around town definitely less
Sigh, was hoping for a side by side comparison.
I've just got a street bob. Also a sporster and deluxe with sidecar. Only have 2 registered at one time. I ride the deluxe the without the sidecar the most! 20 min to fit remove the sidecar.
Brother, you may be pushing that sportster a little more than most. My fuel light wont come on until 150 kms
(93 miles) or so and i still have a quarter tank or so left .
I have a '23 Low Rider S and a '06 YZFR1. Love 'em both but really should reduce my motorcycle count. The R1 even as old as it is costs 2X to insure than the Harley.
The downside of multiple bikes lol
I know I have an 883 instead of a 1200 but mine gets easily 55 miles per gallon or more on the interstate. Depending on where in the power band I keep it. I was actually pretty surprised that it's fuel efficiency
Yeah it's not bad on the highway. Around town really eats up the gas for me
My 1200 Roadster averages 60 mpg on the highway and sometimes 70 on back roads.
21 iron is all i know, I've got 10 thousand kms on it now, got it at 10 kms. Its still breaking in if you ask me.
I just borrowed my buddies iron 883 while my Bob was being repaired from an idiot rear-ending me. It was night and day difference. Street Bob is so much better!
Sporty is always fun though
I had a 21 iron 1200 in green and a 23 street bob in yellow. Both are fun bikes, but for a little more without the front tire wobble, terrible rear suspension and a 6th gear, street bob hands down. Don't get me wrong, sporty can get up and go and easily do 75mph cruising all day, just street bob does it better
Yeah more enjoyable on the bob for sure
Agreed that 6th gear calms things down, but I've never experienced any speed wobbles or anything else like that on my 2005 1200 Roadster. 75 is 3500 RPM on the old five speed.
I got a 21 street bob and i think the rear suspension is terrible 😂. Still love it though
Which to ride........oh, I thought you were going for which to buy
4 hd and 1 kaw.....which to ride, simple Kawasaki going on a trip, hrs and hrs and hrs of comfort, better mpg at higher mph + windshield and dragon maneuverability
But that inline 4 just don't feel the same
Which one I ride really just which one I feel like
I just got the 19 iron, been working it in more than others
Nice enjoy the iron
Have you put brakes on the sporty yet? Curious due to the amount of city riding
Rear but not front yet. Probably due for them both again at this point
@@TheMotoJawn interesting. I don’t do much city riding, I live in a rural area so my commuting is generally on 2 lane highways.
I don’t mean this disrespectfully but don’t they kinda feel the same? I have a street bob and I’ve never ridden the sportster but side by side they just seem like big and little brother
Definitely similar in shape and stature. But a much different experience between riding the two
Our Street Bobs are nearly identical, I got a 22’ as well, redline red too
Nice how do you like it so far?
@@TheMotoJawnit’s actually my first bike lol, I bought it back in April of this year and that’s the bike I learned on. It’s a fun ride with the S&S 475 cam and turns heads so that’s a plus!
Hands down the Street Bob
It has been getting all the love lately
ou should seriously consider a lavalier mic
IN 2023.. They/Them = Sportster. He/Him = Street Bob. For everything else, there is CF Moto.
When you get 50,000 miles in the first three seasons, and 84,000 total since 2005, come back. My 2005 1200 Roadster keeps on getting it done.
In 2024...you still come off as a dickhead
