Thanks for watching and posting... consider subscribing! I think Klein should make it in metric. I see an overwhelming amount of comments requesting metric.
Great video! I’ll be buying both the 11 in 1 ratchet and Knect pass thru set. I like the flexibility the 11 in 1 gives for custom setups using other bits and adapters. First time seeing one of your videos and look forward to watching more!
I have the Klein ratcheting 11-in-1 screwdriver and the socket set and mod box. The fact is that they work great for compatibility with each other and work great for the impact screwdriver which is good for the money spent and good for what they are
I must say after it was pointed out to me that if I changed my perspective to which way I turned the handle and not the ring, it would seem more initiative. I've been doing that and that did make it more intuitive. Thanks for watching!
yesss! finally, believe it or not i've thought of this years ago when i first bought one of their drivers, every year we get closer to a sonic screwdriver!
I think the direction you turn the ratcheting impact 11/1 screwdriver is a matter of perspective. You mentioned if you turn the collar right it makes it loosen fasteners. But if you decide to hold the collar instead of the handle, then you are turning the handle right to set it to tighten fasteners.
That’s a great point actually. I still think that having it go in the direction you are applying force would engineer out changing the ratcheting mode by accident. Thanks for watching and commenting! 👍
It is a great tool, I bought one to use at work and I love it. I wish my job would buy these, they currently buy the 11-1 screwdriver, and all the different nut drivers but not this. So I just went out and bought it and have not regrated it once.
My suggestion on your comment about no contrast markings in the socket set. Remove all the tools, and with a black wax marker, rub it into the recessed areas. Wipe off excess. Put tools back in.
I swapped out the square for an ECX and paired it with the slotted, then changed the torx to a PH3 so I have PH 1,2,&3 on the other end. The Craftsman pass through was made by gearwrench and is compatible with that and huskies pass through.
Great observation brother! I do not like the right/left turn initiation being backwards. I have been using some of my kit and in a bind making up something working around live circuitry and have engaged the screwdriver into the opposite direction easily. That needs to be changed. Love your videos.
Thanks. I have gotten accustomed to thinking of what direction based on which way I move the handle when holding the ring. Thants helped. Thanks for watching! 👍
Then why doesn’t Klein include the ratcheting screwdriver in their kit?? It only available with the fixed 11-1. I don’t want to have to buy versions to get the ratcheting one.
Got the 3/8 knect. Pretty good use it at work. Wouldnt get too crazy in high torque situations as the sockets tend to slip out of the extension. Other than that not bad. They really need a metric version
I always hated multi-bit screwdrivers because you couldn't use standard 1/4" bits, and none of them were ratcheting. So, now I guess I have no choice but to buy this screwdriver. Simply no choice. Surely my wife will see the logic, and understand that my hands are tied...

Do you know if that magnetic bit adapter is compatible with double sided wiha bits? Also I don’t think they feature any flex adapter options, right? I’m always thinking about that because I’ve had a few times when flex adapters have saved the day. I’ll probably have to go third party for a back up option just in case.
It can take one of the double ended bits that come with the 11 in 1 but not very securely. I’d need more info on the flex bit question. Thanks for watching and commenting! 👍
11:30 I was eying your Craftsman set. I have the same set and another one that uses the opposite lid to hold more tools. Don't know where the second is at the moment after my move. They Still fetch a high dollar value on eBay even if incomplete.

I really want this since I have the 11 in 1 ratchet screwdriver.. $50 just seems like a lot for a 7 socket set. I'll probably end up getting it as portability and carrying the least amount things as possible is very important in my profession.
So there's the 32500HDRT version which has the ball detent. There's (at Lowe's) also the 32500HDRTG version that has just the 'line' detent. So I think what your saying is you need the HDRTG version if you want to interchange the socket set with the ratcheting handle?
Klein warranties and sells replacement parts for nearly everything they sell, you just have to wait for it. Otherwise, find an electrical supplier near you who carries some of them in stock granted, I'm fortunate enough to live near half a dozen supply houses who carry tools and some replacement parts in stock. Thanks to Lowe's now having a contract with Klein, I've taken a broken tool bought at another store and direct replaced the tool as they warranty Klein products.
I have links in the video description and check the electrical isle. One store had a couple of the socket sets out but the Ratcheting 11 in 1 showed in stock on the Lowes app but was not out. Turned out it was in top stock (in one of the pallet racks in an isle). I was told that items will remain in top stock until the do a store reset. I've since seen it in the electrical Isle. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Just went to Lowe’s this morning and I was going to pick up this socket set and I was at the self check out and it wouldn’t let me buy it so I had to then go to the helpdesk to pay for it and then they couldn’t sell it to me because ultimately there has been a recall on this product
Ok update….. I did find the screwdriver and got one. I had the 11 in 1 non ratcheting and got the ratcheting one. I also found the peg that the socket set should be on but it was empty. Still not sure why it’s not showing up on the Lowes app I have on my phone.
Got the 65400 socket set (because amazon did not have the 65300) ,but, it's not compatible(too large for The 11-1) . Also my 11-1 has a ball bearing lock (not ring). I noticed the your packaging show a ball bearing( 32500HDRT) PS Lowes seems to be the only source for the 65300 set.
@@projectpinehills Still not sure why the center connect on the32500HDRT is a ball bearing that needs to be lined up in order to seat. going to Lowes today to see if theirs uses the ring. (and pick up the 65300 set)
You are right, the packaging mistakenly shows the ball bearing. At 08:17 in the video there is a comparison of the shafts. Clearly the original has ball bearing and the new one does but. Thanks for watching! 👍
@@projectpinehills The saga continues. Lowes has an 11-1 with a model # of 32500 HDRTG. The packaging shows a "ballbearingless" ring at the center axis. However it has a single ball and no ring. It does except the 65300 socket ends into the handle, so, I am going to content with that and move on(I have a microwave to install)
That's why I just prefer my old craftsmen ratcheting screw driver. All it does is let you ratchet in the opposite direction. I like those sockets though!
Craftsman licensed the pass through socket idea from Gearwrench. The Craftsman is no longer available but here is a link to a Gearwrench set: amzn.to/4bB8g2u
I have the original 11 in 1 and i keep it on my back pocket while working. Is this new one too big to comfortably have in my back pocket while working all day?
Just returned my Klein 65300 set at Lowe’s. I was excited to have this set, but quickly realized that it’s GARBAGE!!! I popped the extension into the ratchet then popped in the 3/8 socket on the extension, used the tool, worked as expected, then went to remove the 3/8 socket from the extension and could not remove it. Sprayed oil thinking it would just slide out, still stuck. Used pliers to get a better purchase on the 3/8 socket pulled and tugged every which way I could and still the socket would not come out. Also, when inserting the extension into the ratchet it felt too loose, and sure enough after a few good shakes the extension just fell right out from the ratchet. So in summary, the extension is too loose in the ratchet and the 3/8 socket was way too tight inside the extension making it impossible to remove. I can’t tell you if the other sockets fit well in the extension because I was never able to remove the 3/8 socket from it. Even the guys at Lowe’s could not remove it, only thing we did not try was using a vice. That all being said I returned the item for a refund. Two thumbs down 👎 👎 for this set. The gearwrench brand I think would be a better choice. Also picked up the ratcheting 11 in 1 and ehhh it’s really not all that great. In my opinion KLEIN missed the mark on these two products.
I'm too afraid to risk using the supposedly impact-rated nutdrivers from the 11in1 in a power tool. I'm certain they will crack or snap and leave me with a 5in1 or worse.
Thanks a great question. Yes, any socket can be ran without the extension in the ratcheting screwdriver. They all have the same 12 point pass through connection. Thanks for watching and commenting! 👍
Hold the collar and turn the handle in the direction you want the screwdriver to turn to set the ratchet direction and then let go. You almost have it right, but the concept is in the collar
That’s a great point and I’ve started doing that which has made it much more intuitive. I also have not bumped the collar unintentionally yet. Thanks for watching and commenting! 👍
I don't like ratcheting screwdrivers either, I guess because you are constantly fiddling with changing the ratcheting feature between 3 modes. But I have enjoyed using this one and even used it recently with a 1/4" socket adapter. I'm still trying it out, but it appears to be the first ratcheting screwdriver that I will use regularly because you can use the handle to ratchet any kind of bit. Thanks for Watching! 👍
I know what you mean... that make sense. I took one commenters advice and I just hold the ratchet setting ring and then turn the handle the direction I want to go. So now it's more intuitive to me. Thanks for watching!
I do like this set, but one dilemma I’ve always came across. When bolting down unistrut the sockets are to wide to fit between the strut to get to the nut, that’s where you standard deep socket pulls through. So I won’t buy this because then I need both sets, so because these sockets are so wide, they don’t fit between unistrut. Big flaw in my opinion.
@@projectpinehills well, fidgeting with the handle alone, changing the setting to forward and reverse repeatedly with no effect for 10min, ended up just working again. Still don’t know what the magic combo was to get it working. First fail of a Klien tool that wasn’t due to an absurdely severe use case.
It’s new coming soon. They are supposed to be in the store by the end of March. It may be in stock above the shelf and not brought down yet. Thanks for watching! 👍
It’s called ratchet wrenches…. Been around for ages and are sad and metric This is neat and 100% use but I would usually grab my ratchet wrench, this is really only good for low torque or preloosened nuts/bolts

I'm still trying it out, but it appears to be the first ratcheting screwdriver that I will use regularly because you can use the handle to ratchet any kind of bit. Thanks for Watching! 👍
That's the first time I ever heard of a "pass-through" ratchet. You have two. I'm going to throw away all my deep well sockets.
Sounds like a plan. Thanks for watching! 👍
When will they realize they need to make metric versions of these kits as well?
I’ve seen that question a lot. They respond to feedback so time will tell. Thanks for the feedback!
I am not sure but isn't it a "Ratcheting" tool which implies when you turn it a certain way, that is the way is going to "ratchet" ?
I know what you mean... that make sense. I took one commenters advice and I just hold the ratchet setting ring and then turn the handle the direction I want to go. So now it's more intuitive to me. Thanks for watching!
I have the rachet set I put impact to it once and now it doesn't work so great. It has a hard time going from on to off. It gets stuck
It’s not made for impact and a better question no one seems to be asking for this is “wtf part of it can fit on an impact gun any way?!”
That’s the challenge with pass through sockets. Sometimes they don’t fit as well as standard. Thanks for sharing and watching! 👍
Great video btw! Seems like a great set minus my dilemma
Thanks!
All that lube will raise flags with tsa. Be sure to clean all that and store in check bags when flying.
Didn’t know the lube would raise alarm bells. Thanks for watching!
@projectpinehills Jeff Dunham has a tsa joke questioning him about residue on his puppet.
do they sell the ratchet handle by itself?
No, just the ratcheting 11-in-1. Thanks for watching! 👍
Isn't it standard 1/2 inch? Isn't that the 11th tool?
That’s correct. Thanks for watching! 👍
Great review! Ive subbed
Awesome, Thank You!
Great video
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Wish it was metric. Hopefully Klein pays attention to the comments and adds metric versions
There is a lot of interest in metric. Thanks for watching! 👍
Ratcheting on mine stopped working on the first day.
That’s odd, how did the replacement work for you?
@@projectpinehills well, fidgeting with the handle alone, changing the setting to forward and reverse repeatedly with no effect for 10min, ended up just working again. Still don’t know what the magic combo was to get it working. First fail of a Klien tool that wasn’t due to an absurdely severe use case.
The pass thru? I sthere a metric set?
Not yet. Thanks for watching!
I can not find this product anywhere
It’s new coming soon. They are supposed to be in the store by the end of March. It may be in stock above the shelf and not brought down yet. Thanks for watching! 👍
Bring back American manufacturing for the love of God!
Yes Klein USA made tools are the best. Thanks for watching! 🇺🇸
Use a sharpie on the size and then it will contrast.
That might work. Thanks for watching and commenting. 👍
Most things I work on are metric. Any rumors of a metric in the future
Klein seems to be coming out with more metric. We’ll see. Thanks for watching!
You forgot the 1/2in nut driver in the handle hole.
You are right, driver is 1/2”. Thanks for watching and commenting! 👍
I thought Klein tools were made here in the US of A.
Some are, like lineman pliers and diagonal cutters. Thanks for watching!
the problem with klein tool pass through is no metric so I can't put it in my motorcycle tool kit.
Yes, a lot of people need a metric option. Thanks for watching and posting! 👍
@projectpinehills thanks for the reply and video. If they did this and the driver in metric I'd have one on every bike I own.
It’s the way you turn the handle, not the ring. Hold the ring and turn the handle.
That’s right, I’ve since learned that, makes all the difference lol. Thanks for watching and commenting! 👍
Id love they had more metric stufg
More coming out soon. Thanks for watching!
After I get my Mac bit driver kit I can never go back to any bit driver
I’ll have to check it out. Thanks for watching!
It’s called ratchet wrenches…. Been around for ages and are sad and metric This is neat and 100% use but I would usually grab my ratchet wrench, this is really only good for low torque or preloosened nuts/bolts
Thanks for watching!
The idea is that the key difference here is okay?
Well said, thanks for watching!
I sent them a message a few weeks ago asking why their JIS#2 bit is identical to their PH#2. No reply. I’m done with Taiwan Klein.
That JIS # 2 bit sold separately?
Its a versatile piece but all the connecting parts make for a sloppy feeling driver.
I see your point, it takes some getting used to. I do really like this for adding a general use ratcheting screwdriver. Thanks for watching and the feedback! 👍
i use snap-on ratcheting screwdrivers. i traded work for tools.
Nice 👍
I have the very same thing from craftsman i got to years ago then i found another from husky i truely like em both till ifound out gear wrench makes em and any thing pass through can still be gotten craftsman dont make that kit nomore since sears dont exist and the home depot dont run the pass through thing nomore either it wasaround Christmas time a promo they called it any hoo i did a bit of searching for the replacement part i broke out of the craftman kit andthats what i found now the other thing was the husky and the craftmen share inter changeablity i can use any part of either in any manor and be ok did not know this at that time of purchase i found it out later the craftman is all the smaller sizes while the husky is all the bigger sizes gear wrench makes them and nolonger for either but one can still find them if you look in the right places i found a replacement handle from gear wrench on Amazon for my craftsman kit it sucks how something this good did not catch on i have had both kits in use for many years there great to have nice idea
I can see its still on the come back the idea is still not dead yet
Thanks, this is good information about what's compatible with the Craftsman set! It appears that Gearwrench and Crescent still offer pass through sets on Amazon (maybe it's all actually Gearwrench?) The Craftsman had a great, space saving case that was well indexed. Thanks for watching and thanks for the feedback! 👍
@@projectpinehills your very welcome
These tools are a welcome leap over many things that I have encountered over the years
Asa matter on fact when I bought the first seti thought of it as a gimmick till I tried it was I most impressed true to the facts to this day great idea
Gear wrench did licence out to a company by the name of apex tools they make stuff for other people and stamp a name on it oh yeah Stanley uses em to
Someplace in all that it's supposed to be cost effective as we do know sears don't make a thing for them selfs any more neither does the home Depot or Lowe's they hire out to resource
Gear wrench is here to stay even professional mechanics use gear wrench I trucks in town all the time
To you my friend have to you and yours have a safe and happy holiday
Good deal, I’m checking out the Grearwrench. Thank You! 👍
You're looking at the ratcheting mechanism wrong. You're seeing it as you turning the mechanism right, but if you step back from the picture, you could see it as the screwdriver turning left.. the way you're going to be screwing.
lol, you are 100% right. I’ve been doing that and it makes it much more intuitive. I do still think the ring could get turned unintentionally but it hasn’t happened yet. Thanks for watching and posting! 👍
Texas
Is this a real post?
@@projectpinehills sorry I meant to put that on another post
Thanks! You looking for the tool at Lowes?
@@projectpinehills yes I’m new to the trade and looking at different tools
Well the 11 in 1 is a good start. Thanks for watching! 👍
If it was made in the USA i would buy it even if i didn't need it
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Impact rated screwdriver? That's just silly. 1/4" drive tools will break the hardware before the tool ever breaks. Chrome would've been fine.
Thanks for watching! 👍
You lost me at made in Taiwan sorry.
I do prefer Klein USA made tools. Thanks for commenting! 👍
Klein tools are trash these days. Better off buying from harbor freight 😂
Thanks for watching!
Lmao these drivers are great , i use them every day all day for work, and HF makes some awesome shit these days so idk what your point is
Agree, thanks for watching!
This new screwdriver will be complete if they 🧲.
Thanks for watching! 👍
