There is some excellent program and multi programming here, which is tough for the average keyboardist with Kurzweil keyboards, as there is a steep learning curve to get to this level. But this guy has it down with these amazing emulations of the sounds used in these eighties tunes, not to mention having learned the exact keyboard parts. Reading the other’s comments, I believe we are all duly impressed with “Class of ‘84” whoever you are, and with the Forte 7, which this video inspired me to buy one. I’ve retired my PC3X - to big too heavy to lug around at my age. Here’s to wanting and wishing, and cheers, kudos, etc. to the man behind the curtain.
Thank You. My Friends and I have been playing "Name That Tune" for days. I got Six people stay at my house using up all the Toilet Paper under Quarantine.
haha dude! I came across your video randomly once again. My buddy is buying this synth and Im researching the patches and sounds and once again found your video. This is Rich from Dutch Oven and the Cliffhangers.
Absolutely great sounds, fantastic job! Please consider sharing some at the Ksetlist or sell them. Even as a commercial soundpack it's a great asset for any Kurzweil Board!
Sounds better than nord korg roland kawai and yamaha? It looks like you can set sounds to one button press in the middle there. Im not sure thats a feature on every high end synth/stage piano
Very well played, a pleasure to hear! Nice job with the multis. I wonder if you perhaps would like to share those multis. Those multis that require other sound libs, perhaps a reference to what? Just a wish :)
Most of these patches were ported from the PC3K - so yes. I am working on removing the 3rd party sounds from these patches and will make them available (for sale) when done.
Two questions if you could help. 1. Can it do a playable vocoder effect? 2. Are those split points infinite (choose any key) or are they defined like on a Nord?
Only if a vocoder is on your must list.... it's not on mine. Believe me - there are much more things on the Kurzweil that are NOT on any other board that are the deal breakers for me on ANY other board - I've gone through the Kronos, Motif XF, Roland FA and more always to return to the Kurzweil. I've had 2 PC3's, a PC3K and now the Forte7 .
@@classof8438 There kind of is: ua-cam.com/video/_p0dE3U9Awc/v-deo.html - There an audio in definitely however when it comes to vocoder effects specifically I can't say off the top of my head. But check this out: www.synthmanuals.com/manuals/kurzweil/ksp8/algorithm_reference/ksp8_alg.pdf That's a massive list. 311 pages manual for just effects. I don't think any other vendor is crazy enough to put an Eventide style fx box into a keyboard. I think that's just Kurzweil level of crazy. I'd be very surprised if you couldn't find or put together a vocoder type effect in there.
I've owned a PC88 and a PC2X...and a PC161 ( same voices as the PC1X) Every keyboard has had some outstanding patches that aren't on any newer Kurz's. I wish Kurz could make a keyboard with a memory like the Nord.....one could individually custom their own sounds from a library.
Sounds great, well done!
Ah the happy memories are flowing like a beautiful river thanks 😊.

David Faunce thanks for the kind words!!
Kurzweil's are the best. ❤
Hi these are fantastic. I keep checking back to see if they're for sale yet. If you don't have the time please post this so I can stop drooling. LOL
Thank You. My Friends and I have been playing "Name That Tune" for days. I got Six people stay at my house using up all the Toilet Paper under Quarantine.
Thanks for recalling ‘99 Luftballons’ (99 Red Balloons) and many other sweet memories! :))
You could probably make a killing if you made these patches/multis available for sale. I would be first in line. These are great!

Great job!
Very good job. I like the Forte although I haven't one anymore.
Great job on the sounds
Dude! Incredible job.
Buonasera si possono avere le parche s? Sono veramente belle
Some cool stuff here... are they available for download anywhere.. Cheers...Scott
Hi its possible to buy these sounds from you ? i have forte too.
Me too, please.
Hi. I m intrested in this programm. I have a pc3k. Anyone could you answer me?
respect for that “Africa” solo and “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” popcorn lead over the reggae organ.👍
Is it possible to sample external audio directly from the keyboard without the aid of a pc?

How do add new sounds to the kurzweil
Sounds great! Care to share the .for files?
@1:07 Don't you tell me no, don't you tell me no. Respect - Erasure.
How are the brass sounds on the kurzweil. Stabs etc. Is that possible. Another question what do you think about nord 3 compared to this one
These are great! Do (would you) you sell your patches/Multis?
Great job!!!!
Fantastic sounds, nice playing, but a lot of distortion due to over-modulating volume during recording.
My favorite is the Straight up song. Paula Abdul
How hard is it to setup these patches (or are most of them downloadable somewhere)?
This was great! Is this using the internal sound set or custom? I would love to get my hands on all of this!
Did you create these sounds yourself? Or did you buy them somewhere? It sounds great!
Great sounds! Are these sounds also compatible with the Kurzweil SP6? If yes, is there a way to purchase these sounds? Would be great!
I may have missed it, but have you shared the recipe for creating these multis anywhere? Great job! My baby shows up on Monday. 🥳
Fantastic job putting these together. any chance of purchasing these? Thanks
Hi Brow... Who is Better PC3k... or Forte?
Buongiorno. Si possono avere le patches? Sono compatibili con kurz. PC3K8 ? Grazie.
Most of these patches were ported from the PC3K - so yes. I am working on removing the 3rd party sounds from these patches and will make them available (for sale) when done.
Adam Martin ok!!! Quando sono pronte pubblica il pacchetto patches !!! grazie.👍
Can't wait. That will be fantastic .
Hi Adam just wondering of you managed to remove the 3rd party sounds? So following this post hoping you may make them available soon
Ciaran Gilligan still trying to find time to do this.
Two questions if you could help. 1. Can it do a playable vocoder effect? 2. Are those split points infinite (choose any key) or are they defined like on a Nord?
Alex Johnson there is no vocoder fx. You can split anywhere you want.
Such a shame about the no Audio-In/Processing. Could have been the perfect small gig board. Maybe in the next revision 🤞

If I purchased the sounds you used would you then sell me the multis. Thanks
Where did u purchase the non stock patches from?
Wow, my favourite sound set is that of "Girls just want to have fun" (y)
Now i'm shure it's my choice Roland fa and Yamaha modx best buy
Must be expensive...
