It's curious that you have them dialed in completely differently, as well as with more fx on the Forte. It's hard to make a comparison that way, despite the Forte being slightly audibly better, which is true.
The Forte just slightly has a bit more resonance and a bit more bite to it.. However I prefer the organs on the SP6.. To each his own.. They both sounds basically the same,.. 2 good Kurzweil boards.
How many quick access/favourites buttons does this have? Apparently the artis has only 6 which is kinda pathetic considering my 20 year old korg triton has 20 sounds on the touch screen and you get another 20 x10 by changing pages (not that i really need more than 40 sounds but its nice tonjust have a bagpipe there for when i need one without replacing an existing sound temporarily etc). Im looking to upgrade the triton as some of the sounds are a bit weak now but i dont wanna lose this functionality as its really great in live performance and shows to quickly change from brass strings synth organs woodwind etc. Also can the faves/quick access section be layered? So lets say it has 10 sounds you can save...could i mix two of them easily? Maybe i should just get the korg kronos or some other upgrade from the triton that keeps this functionality
I use SP6 for live gigs no one ever came to me saying that there wasn’t string resonance im my playing! Who cares about it? Plus I saved 2000 euros and 10 kg weight! in addition to this the Kurzweil is notoriously not good for synth sounds so I’m used to use Korg for that purpose
Sort of a useless waste of time without describing how they were recorded. Forte smokes it as recoded, however it was done. Forte was brighter though my computer speakers.
Honestly the Sp6 sounds clearer and better quality when not ‘mixed’ with other sounds. Sounds more expensive as well. For layering, I guess forte sounds better- depends on what you’re looking for? Forte has a really nice mellow sound (fuller timbre) whereas the sp6 has clearer sound. (piano) both are extremely good though :0 sp6 somehow has a slightly nasal? tone especially when using other effects (not piano) - i think one has to think about what they are going to use the keyboard for before deciding (so tough!!) how do the prices range?
Robert Michalscheck Nasal isn’t actually a smell so it’s not really that interesting. Being a violinist we do express sounds as being nasal/mellow/sweet/boxy etc. You can’t really smell mellow either ;)

The SP6 pianos sound like they have been low pass filtered compared to the Forte. Did they cripple it on purpose?
Si el problema económico subsiste, aunque con un sonido algo más tenue que el Forte, el SP6 parece una buena opción.
Cual es mejor amigo el forte
@@luisalarcon9703 Es como comparar a Superman con el Chapulín Colorado.
Well I like more PC3A8 and FORTE cose they have timeless sounds and SP6 as well 2700 sounds such easier, isn’t it?
The piano sample hasn't got string resonance in Sp6!
Péter Pálinkó yes it does.
I was hoping to hear a CP80 sound comparison!

Kurzweil sounds more authentic
Does SP6 sound identical to Forte SE? No difference in sound quality? I would like to hear such comparison.
Meilleure réponse sur le forte mais malheureusement les mêmes sons , c’est très pauvre , les temps ont changés !!!
Forte sounds a bit better for me, with more powerfull and precise sounds.

It does have string resonance though..
I'm waiting on my sp6 to arrive, can't wait. And I agree with you.lol
KURZWEIL FORTE VS SP6 SOUNDS CASIO
FORTE SOUNDS LIKE THE LITTLE ANTS GOT HERE LITTLE LATE
No differences for me
I agree
I wish there was a 73 key version.
Why? Three less keys than the 76-key version? kurzweil.com/product/forte7/
I meant the SP6. The Forte is heavier than I want to schlep. The age thing is kicking in.
Ahh, I see - makes sense! :)
almost same...
Only difference is the price.
I agree totally
DONT KNOW BUT SOUNDS LIKE FORTE IS THE BOTTOM AND SP6 ON TOP

Nasal?didnt know you could smell tones, funny description.

Sungha Choi-Lee,oh okay,I guess I don’t know violinist lingo
Robert Michalscheck No worries :)
It isn’t necessarily a colloquial music term either...
Forte has better proc. effects
Son prácticamente iguales en calidad de audio
