Back when they announced their intentions to split up and announced the final tour dates I complained to them on a social network, either MySpace or Facebook about there not being a Welsh date and said that I hoped that they spent all the money that I had spent on them wisely. I got a reply saying that one of them had invested in a gold plated swimming pool. A few days later they announced a Cardiff show and told me to bring my wallet, it was a great concert with the wall of hugs et all, after the show I got to meet them and they signed the poster with thanks for the swimming pool. Great band and great people.
Man they are having so much fun, it's just endearing. Their music is just unapologetically fun and I love it. I fuckin hate how they didn't blow up. they deserved more than what they got. Guess you can say that about a lot of bands, it's still sad though.
+okkcomputer Cuz they had two singers? Danana... had a less abrasive sound (especially in their second record) and tended to be a little more tongue in cheek. It's shameless purism just to call them a BB copy. Incidentally, also love BB.
