There's so much more to see in the next episode.
@@TanapatPhongkamonGolf I mean, sans wasn't even edgy in dusttale. Bro was entirely in-character, well... with some twists. (if you're talking evan's dusttale then yeah)
Yeah, which I find kind of disappointing. (and a bit weird, since Sans does actually stalk and/or observe you still like he dies in other routes. When u kill Paps or in Geno runs. He just dies it a bit differently than some other routes. So he wouldn’t just be in Grillby’s the whole crime until New Home. At least if it is being based off canon). Since DT is focused on Sans. And they are great versions that focus on him. Like OG DT, Dead Ringer, The Lone Defender, His Story, Etc. Though not really surprised by this direction since despite being called DustTale, it’s basically just DustTale in name only. Btw, I do think UT!DT is fine (don’t like it much though personally) as more it’s own thing. Just don’t really like it personally as a DustTale take.
@@Dragon_Aoi to be fair I imagine it’s hard to near impossible to stalk Flowey. The dude travels through the ground and seemingly only pops up to kill something, and he’s likely cunning enough to do it quickly and sneakily. That, plus Sans’s general nihilistic pessimism would probably prevent him from really doing anything. The only reason he was consistently watching you in the first place was because of Toriel, who made him make a promise to take care of you. With that gone, the only reason Sans ever has to watch you is because you’re the only one around, which obviously isn’t as serious as a promise he wants to fulfill. With that in mind, it makes sense for him to drown out his cares instead of trying to stalk and watch over Flowey or the human. He can’t necessarily stop Flowey unless Flowey directly confronts him, and theres no motivation for him to really care about the human beyond the good thing he already did for them.
@@cantmakeacreativename2072 We can still notice Flowey behind us, Sans could probably spot him if he was really trying. Like, he can literally teleport. And Sans is already suspicious enough of Flowey to warn you about him in Grillby's (he might not know everything about Flowey at that point, but he does make a different in talking about the talking flower and the echo flower. By the former being in yellow and the 2nd in blue). I don't see how Sans and Torie's promise would be gone, Sans and Toriel have made that promise at least, a decent time ago. And I don't see how Flowey could currently prevent them from making that promise. Sans also, still tries his best keep his promise to her, because he does actually really care about promises (even if he sometimes keeps them on a more technical level, kind of like djinn/etc. But he does still REALLY value them). And will still try to keep his promise on all the routes. He even mentions how he is sorry to Toriel about how he has to break it in the Geno route. He also still watches u no matter what (like usual), even during routes where Paps dies or during the Geno run. Which is shown esp. with some flavor text u can get in the Shyren text, which has a hooded figure (which is Sans) watching you, and due to how, some things in his fight, potentially reference how Paps was killed and some of what Paps said, and just because Sans watching/observing/stalking you are just things he always does, basically. Anyways, no, it doesn't make sense he wouldn't at least watch/try to watch the human (and considering how already suspicious he was of Flowey, and the stuff Flowey is pulling causing Sans to be even more suspicious. Like, Flowey literally warns u to not let Sans find out anything about you, and that he cased him his fair share resets in the past) and possibly Flowey as well, since 1. He would still be trying to keep his promise in some form, 2. He has eye socket out for anomalies or potential anomalies, 3. He is a sentry, who is watching out for humans. He doesn't really care about capturing humans and can be lax sometimes, but he still has multiple stations, that he uses to keep an eye on things, sometimes help you, etc. , 4. No one at Grillby's actually knows where Sans is in Neutral routes where Paps dies, because he never shows up there. Maybe he shows up there somewhat in Geno routes, but he does at least stalk and observe u for some of the Geno route, and doesn't just drink until his last corridor/JH encounter like UT!DustTale seems to imply he does. He also, like I said, actually never shows up at Grillby's at all in Neutral routes where Paps is dead. I am not saying UT!DT is bad (I don't really like it though), but I don't really find some parts and characterizations in it as "canon"-seeming as people make them out to be. Like this. I have at least seen better characterizations in DustTale for Sans, Paps, and Flowey elsewhere (their not terrible though, I have just personally seen better).
@@cantmakeacreativename2072 Saw some of "DUT!DUSTTALE - Anomaly", and I do think I at least like Sans' characterization somewhat better in that video, compared to this one (which this one is not awful, I just don't think it is super canon and/or I prefer other things overall). Might be liking UT!DT a bit more. Still don't really see it as a DustTale take/version, but I might be liking it a bit more now as it's own thing (to me).

He said the underground is pointless, but the protagonist is still to reset and do it again and again. So, his mental health is not well right now.
But, this is just starting. There's so much more to see in the next episode.
@@TanapatPhongkamonGolf I mean, sans wasn't even edgy in dusttale. Bro was entirely in-character, well... with some twists. (if you're talking evan's dusttale then yeah)

Comment 101: Best dusttale ever
Best Dusttale take ever
Welp. I thought sans would actually play a bigger part in the story but I guess not.
He would still be trying to keep his promise in some form,
So this is what the trailer was for
another episode right after another... We are being fed
good job flowey, intoxicate sans with Zolpidem, I know the best thing to do would be to kill him in his sleep but, sans is sans, it's not worth the risk, better to leave him like that, especially when you can't reset.
Would undyne actually work with the human on this one..? And you end up betraying her?
:3
before getting to new home???
does this mean the entire game, including the areas before new home, are already finished and you're hiding it from us???
I wish, if they were done you would be watching them, i’m still at the beginning of waterfall in terms of animating
@@Yuti640 yeah saw your community post

he doesn't know yet....
As I was watching this I started to play underswap
That lazybones got drunk and didn't save his bro :(
dawg whats in those ketchup bottles sans fell asleep like hes drunk
Hold on, if sans is gonna be asleep throughout all of waterfall and Hotland, why doesnt flowey surprise attack him?
I think that is going to happend but off screen
I mean he was asleep+ tired in his genocide fight and he could still dodge the attack I feel like a non tired sans would dodge pretty easily as well as flowey probably doesn't even know he's there
@@chromos5268 yeah but you can infer that he was pretending to be asleep/just awake enough to react to the human's attack, but here, it seems like sans is genuinely asleep as he's sleeping throughout all of waterfall and hotland
@@dylanzlol7293There was literally no point in him "pretending" to be asleep as he known what could happen for sure
@@dylanzlol7293 im guessing flowey just doesnt wanna risk another confrontation with sans considering sans could obliterate flowey except this time flowey cant reload if he dies, sans was pretending to be asleep in geno so flowey is probably aware of this trick and doesnt wanna gamble whether or not hes actually sleeping this time
that is if flowey actually knows hes here, hes probably out killing the rest of the underground instead since theres no reason to go back to snowdin after killing everyone there
Ketchupholism kills (your brothers specifically), guys... This is a prime example. Don't be like Sans, drink ketchup in moderation.
I need more of this
hmm...did he get asleep because sans....
or because of the...ketchup.............oh boy.....
I'll just say, I love this Dusttale take. Definitely better than the Sans ones! I also kinda wonder how Aborted Genocide would go in this AU.
I have some super fun ideas for if you don’t fight, since you ALWAYS have that option, at its most, UT!DUSTTALE will have the same open-ness of neutral routes as UNDERTALE
What happens if you spare monsters instead of grinding them in this take
if only a pacifist gameplay would be interesting to see
:3

Omg 30 more seconds of peak

A well deserved rest for a hard working skeleton! (;
I LOVE UT!DUSTTALE

@ Haha very funny.
... i remember a au when flowey possesed sans... what happend if flowey (with MORE LOVE that the other au) possesed sans and trying to killl the human in this au (speccialy flowey see the power that sans have)
no, sans is a really big challenge for flowey, flowey CANNOT kill sans without being able to reset or use the save star
Im guessing this is the last we're going to see of Sans on this take, right?
does this mean this is an actuall fangame?
Why was he at grillbys when he could’ve stopped papyrus from being killed?
Same reason why he didnt stop us from killing papyrus
He didnt know where Papyrus was
Its Canon event
So we made the same thing and he didnt stoped us
OH.
something happens with sans in new home?
Flowey probably kills him while he's sleeping.
U mean the Sans that can dodge a LV19 human with time powers while tired in the Geno run would just be that easily killed by Flowey in his sleep?
@@Dragon_Aoi i wasn't suggesting specifically that.
@@Dragon_Aoi Ah yes, good ol' silly powerscaling.
@@BoredomIncarnate16 no, not in a million years flowey would do that
ㄷㄷ
Is this gonna be a playable mod?
Very likely no, i can’t do modding stuff at all, plus I’d have a very specific vision for a UT!DUSTTALE mod that would be hard to do
The most I can imagine realistically seeing is a playable version of one of the Flowey fights
@@Yuti640 Oh, well its still a cool concept since we rarely see flowey be the main antagonist, considering he is the first and last person to try and kill you in Undertale excluding genocide.
*....oh ok.
Stabs him.

Ok but what if you miss
You wouldn't want to have to deal with sans at LV4 would you?
@@davidherreragonzalez6145 I love how this implies Sans is a sleep-dodger.
In Sans’ boss fight he dodged Frisk’s attack even though he was asleep and had no way of seeing it coming, ain’t no way I’m risking getting a bad time for an extra level 😭
