Could be many factors. Could be a problem with your internet provider. Issue with the hotspot device. Some of the issues I have had when I first turn it on the mobile number isn't showing. I turn it off and then turn it back on. I would check with the provider to see what the problem could be.
i never tried that. it was activated at the credit store with a second line. The second phone line is only for the device itself. The number for the device is not the same number as my phone

Mine is not turning on. It stays stuck on the Hello. I usually leave the battery out when not in use.
Have your unit ever gotten stuck in goodbye mode. Mine have and it is still connected to the network. This happens once in a while.
