Thank you for the video. You saved me a lot of cursing. I have LASFIT on a VW Passat TDI for a few years, still perfect. Bought LASFIT for 2023 Frontier SV 4wd. I took the battery out before installing that side. Much easier! On the 2023, there is a notch inside light assembly ON TOP. You have to twist the light so notch opening is directly on top. Easily done. Snap ring is a pain, rests further back with LASFIT . I suggest making sure you test snap ring alone so you know exactly where to align it. A person comments you can slide in the light with snap ring in place, which you can. I did not do that. Thanks again!
I actually put these same lights on 5 months ago, in order for the light to fit properly the fittings that comes off from the lasfit LED lights you must insert them 1st, there are grooves on the fittings that fits on the headlight housing (flush ed) then insert the LED LIGHTS with the white plastic lock fitting. Otherwise it won’t have a proper seal. After that you can actually pull the LED Light in and out for east replacement or adjustment. Though I’m worried that it can come out easily while driving. You can actually insert the LED lights last.
So i did the same way you did it, i was thinking the LED might just fall out. How was your wire positioned though? Or is the LED light supposed to sit at 3 and 9 o'clock?
This 100% they were a breeze doing it this way just line up the little notches that are inside the headlight and press them into position then put bulb with retainer ring in, did mine in under 20 mins hardest part was getting the old bulbs out of electrical plug in
Thanks so much for your extremely helpful video! I just did this on my "23 Frontier S. It's not quite as easy as you make it out to be. 1. Pygmy sized hands would be helpful to navigate the very tight spaces. 2. Getting the old halogens out of the socket was challenging. They were really hard coming out of the socket, and yes I did have the release pressed. As one of the comments indicates below, it does take quite a bit of jiggering to get the new bulbs seated and locked properly. I put masking tape on my garage door beforehand where the old beams hit, and the new ones are right on the mark.
Thanks for the video!! I either got a different one that what you did or they updated the bulb, it looks pretty much exactly like the oem bulb (minus it's LED) and doesn't have that cord sticking out. The housing feels like its made out of aluminum rather than plastic. Relatively painless to swap out, took less than five minutes. Cheers! Thanks again!!
Fantastic video! Thank you for posting this! This ended up being a super pain in the butt. I couldn’t get the lights to sit right. Ended up sending them back.
So - I did the same upgrade. Much much better brightness. I don't know why Nissan doesn't stock these as OEM at delivery. Only issue I have is - intermittently, the high beams won't actuate unless I switch from auto to off and back to auto .... I assume it's a ECU gremlin, but since I rarely use high beams, it is a small issue in the big scheme of things. I like the outcome and the cost is right.
I was just wanted to say thanks for the video. I just did the install earlier today. I def echo some sentiments that man oh man if you have even average size hands it'll be a tight fit in working the light in there. Any idea what size the fog lights are for this brand? I just did a lap around the neighbor hood and man the stock fogs stand out like crazy now. Great video!
It been a fer weeks now and I really like them. If I had to pick something I didn’t like I guess it have to be the high beams aren’t all that different than the low beams. Other than I have no complaints
Everyone should know that these LED lights are NOT street legal in the USA for headlights! They are only street legal for fog lights. The LASFIT website even says that.
Does that plug on the new Led bulb need to be plugged in to anything or just leave it unused? I have bought a set of bulbs but havent installed or looked under hood yet....
@@4wdAdventurz Thanks for the reply...it is very strange. I am used to brights just lighting up the whole road, signage, etc ahead of me at night...the frontier brights do nothing.
I ordered the LASFIT 9007 4th gen LS LED Bulbs which were listed to fit the 2022 Frontier. In fact LASFIT sent me a link to this video to see how to install them. The new lamp does not fit, the locking ring interferes with the power cable. They eventually read the user comments about this and removed the 2022 Frontier from the application.
So I’ve been rocking these for a little while and it seems like oncoming drivers aren’t a fan of the brightness of my low beams. I’m gonna double check my alignment but I’m getting flashed frequently while driving with my low beams
Honestly i was bouncy around off road and one of the lights had fallen out. When I put it back in, I must of done a better job because the pattern was evened out. I think one just had to be rotated a bit. That's what was causing the pattern to be a little off.
I'm late to the party but how do these look at night on the road? Also, I'm wondering if the Pro-4X headlight assembly would fit the same in the SV model?
Hi! Can someone help with this information? I have a Nissan Frontier 2022. Im trying to find the correct numbers for foglight and headlights led.. Thanks you
No. They’re are all on the one bulb. But honestly the hi beams are basically the same as the low beams. Not much of a difference when you hit the hi beams..

Yes! Since posting this video I’ve adjusted these a few times and finally got them right. Thanks for watching and commenting!

I just noticed this as well. Have you had them fall out since?
@@RaimondiD no, it has not fallen out though I did put some Teflon around the lights to make it a tighter/snug fit .

Thanks for watching Scott! Man, masking tape is a good idea!
It is pretty difficult to get the clip off. That white ring on my sv was already loose but I couldn't get the wire harness off the bulb.
Yeah my white rings were already loose

it definitely took a little bit of time. Not super easy. thank you for watching none the less!
Lasfit makes some good lights, I'm thinking about getting an entire set for my 2016 Honda Accord. Nice truck btw, the new Frontiers are awesome!
They do! I’ve had these installed for a while and have had zero issues so far. Thanks for watching buddy!

Did the same thing to my 2022 Frontier S.
Did they fit okay? I just bought one and that’s the first thing I want to do
Considering upgrading to something similar to my 2022 Frontier. Would like to hear thoughts after you've installed/used them after awhile.
It been a fer weeks now and I really like them. If I had to pick something I didn’t like I guess it have to be the high beams aren’t all that different than the low beams. Other than I have no complaints
There’s 3 notches within the housing. Just a heads up for anyone trying to do this. That’s why there’s spaces on the light

Do your bright lights work? Mine don't work on the 2021.
They work but it's hardly noticeable, honestly.

Wow. I haven’t had any issues with mine. Thats a bummer..
@@4wdAdventurz The base of the new lamp is square shouldered and the ring cannot slide back as it stopped by the cable.

yeah, I would check the alignment. I’ve never been flashed. I honestly feel like they’re not even that bright. Lol
Thanks
How did you fix the beam pattern?

I'm 99% sure it would
does anybody know if you can install the Pro4X LED headlights on SV trim model?
Lmao at the 40k comment, thats cause the led lights will cost you and extra 10 to 15k at the dealership 😂
How are LEDS working?
Did the Headlights need Re-aimed?
They’re still doing good! Yeah I had to tweak them a little when I added the 6” lift but before that it was pretty dang close out of the box..
@@4wdAdventurz Cool
Does high beam assist still work if you change the lights like this?
I don’t think I have that on the S model
It does @codywalton3631

I can’t get the locking ring to lock on to the light. Help please
It’s a bit of pain in the ass. I had to do it a few times before they were in correctly. Just keep turning it until it catches.
I can't get the plug off. Any suggestions?
Are the high and low beam seperate bulbs ?
No. They’re are all on the one bulb. But honestly the hi beams are basically the same as the low beams. Not much of a difference when you hit the hi beams..
What size tires you got on those stock 16s?
These are 265/70/16 Firestone Destination MT2’s
re they still in good working condition
Yup. They still work great !
what if you don’t adjust them ?
Does it it give Lumens Rating on them
How was driverside to put in ...easy?
I'd say even easier because the battery isn't in the way
@@4wdAdventurz Excellent Thank you
I hated the headlights so much on my '14 i bought projectors for it with hid lows and led highs
Yeah the stock headlights are garbage for sure.
One of the bulbs is not sitting right on the headlamp that’s why you’re getting a shitty spread.
Yes! That was the issue. It's fixed now
For anyone wondering how to change the fog light bulbs to LED.. It’s a pain in the rear and I 10 outta 10 do not recommend.
🤣🤣 I've seen videos and it looks like a shit show. Glad I couldn't afford the fog light option 😂😂😂😂
Is it the same bulb for the high and low?
Yeah. there are a few more LEDs on the bulb that turn on when you hit the highbeams. But honestly, it’s not much difference at all.
