I've just bought this similar one and it seems not to be able to double sided cut 2015 Toyota key due to not enough height or depth of the clamp. I am thinking of returning it unless I can find shims of some sort but it will not be easy, not designed for double sided auto key.
On another video, a person said to spin the clamps around. He cut a Toyota key, it took a few tries, he had trouble aligning the cutter with the guide, but used the guide and cutter to line up the key.
I bought one of these machines and I have to say it’s amazing. It’s very novice friendly. Very easy to use and the results are great. I have not ruined a key yet. The only thing that would make this machine better if it was made in the USA. It’s simplicity is only matched by its performance. I’ve done all kinds of keys, double sided, transponder keys with the same results. I have yet to have a problem with any kind that this machine was made to cut. This is one thing made in china that is made like it should. I never thought I’d say something like this about something made in china. But so far this machine has held itself and for the price you just can’t get nothing better like it. This is my experience with this machine. So far it’s been holding up well. Only time will tell.
Thank you for your comment, roberthayes5037! We're glad to hear that you're enjoying the amazing performance of the machine you purchased. It's great to know that it's novice-friendly and easy to use, making key cutting a breeze for you. We completely understand your sentiment about the machine being made in the USA, but hey, even something made in China can surprise us sometimes! As long as it's delivering excellent results and holding up well, that's what truly matters. Here's to hoping your machine continues to exceed your expectations and stands the test of time. Cheers to successful key cutting adventures! 🗝️🇺🇸
I’d like to share my experience. Before I started cutting keys with this machine I watched every video I could from you tube about how to use and cut keys with any machine. I found out that they all have one thing in common, you need to measure both sides of the keys and what I mean with that is you need to make sure when you put the master key in you need to make sure that the blank key you’re going to cut is exactly like the original. That’s why it’s very important that you learn how to calibrate your machine so you can align both keys perfectly and you’ll see way better results. Hope this helps you.
@@roberthayes5037 thank you I will try that. We have a lady that use to make keys out of a business and she couldn't even get it to do right. I do think we have the wrong keys so I'm going to see if I can match and try again. I appreciate the help
@@christinas4043 don’t forget that the block that holds the keys in place, they turn around, one side is for regular keys and the other side is for double sided keys.
OK- let's give it a real test. Make a duplicate of a duplicate of a duplicate until the machine can't make an accurate duplicate. That's the real test of accuracy. Borkey's have been able to cut 7 blanks before failing on the 8th. I'm in the market for a machine for my rig
Thank you for your comment, travisgrindal! We're thrilled to hear that the machine has been providing you with great value for your money. Indeed, when you compare the cost of having keys cut by locksmiths, having your own cutter can save you a significant amount in the long run. Plus, with the machine's track record of success, it's a reliable investment that pays for itself over time. You're not only getting convenience but also cost-effectiveness. So, keep enjoying the benefits of having your own key cutter and keep saving those hard-earned dollars. Happy key cutting! 💰🔑

Even if it made 7 successful keys, it would be worth the money. Locksmiths around here charge $40 to cut a car key. This cutter is around $120.
