    The content within this video is BANG ON! I plan on using these tips to improve my FPS paintball videos. My content is 90% reactionary with very little room for proactive content. Thanks for the tips Sam!

    Been doing content for 11 years, and I give everything I can. Constantly try and adapt and do things no one else does. Yet even then hard to rise higher cause the ceiling. There are 80 million content creators, getting above 10 viewers literally puts you in the top 5%, think about that. Thats how many creators vs viewers.

    Buddy, I've been following you for a long time now. You were super awesome even when you first started with Harris. But your videos just keep getting better and better with every passing year. So smooth and so pro. I just wanted to say keep it up, I know you've struggled with certain platforms (and the arsehats on them) occasionally. But you have quality and that's what matters. Everytime I watch your stuff it just reminds me, "Ok... I should be polishing my videos more. I mean look at this".

    Great video Sam! I have on question about UA-cam. Does frequency matter as much as it did before? Nowadays I see many creators without a frequency of posting videos, they only post if the video is ready, betting more on quality than frequency. What should small creators do?

    • @SamWoodhall
      @SamWoodhall  Рік тому

      Focus on consistency of effort vs consistency of output. 2 to 3 videos a month is fine. Just time how long it takes you to make a good video, then add padding to that. Life can get in the way so be aware of that.

    Great video Sam, I've been following you ever since I first saw you in an alpha gaming video haha, hope all is well mate! I have a question regarding video format, is there any benefit to recording in .mkv rather than .mp4? I upload to UA-cam and TikTok. Currently I am using .mp4 format but wondering if I should switch?

    • @SamWoodhall
      @SamWoodhall  Рік тому +1

      mk4 has loss protection, so if you suffer an OBS crash, it won't delete the entire recording, only the last couple of minutes. It also is the only format to support multitrack audio. You can remux through OBS to mp4 after recording and keep those channels, but if you want multitrack audio, mkv is the one to pick.

    awesome video sam really useful, i have 1 question tho as i think you made an error in the obs setup. you checked track 1 on all 3 outputs and then ticked track 2 for game and 3 for something else but in your settings you ticked audio tracks 1 to 3 to be recorded, wouldnt that result in double audio or in this case triple ? as track 1 has all audio because of stream track and the others have it individually

    • @SamWoodhall
      @SamWoodhall  Рік тому +1

      You wouldn't get doubled up audio on stream. Any track checked for 1 = all stream audio. I may have needed one extra track for a clean mic, which is my mistake - but it sounds like you understood the idea.

    • @TheStoryCan

      True this is something you need to figure out to get more views however it isn't the ONLY thing. Even if YT pushes your content you want it to be the best it can be to keep an audience around for longer. Sure the algorithm is an important part of the equation but there are plenty of videos out there talking about it and Sam isn't suggesting it isn't important but the goal of this video is to ensure you keep your audiences attention 😀
