Hoyo is rlly insane that is a Titan that hasnt changed much from 1.0 im not joking almost 0 QOL that changes the game in any significant way. Lik cmon locking Faster Exploration to Natlan Characters to Natlan is absolutely dumb as a brick. I quit the moment i saw the "Goofiness" of Natlan lik bro Nation of War...more lik Disney of War. Oh btw about the comment about the Loot Compass of Wuwa it only works in Rinascita cuz i just went to Black Shores and used it and it didnt Ping its location just general sound so kinda sad. *Correction: Sensor doesnt rlly better work in other region other than Rinascita due not pinging the chest locations.
Lootmapper works in all region. I've used it on Black Shores too. Also just like you, I quit before natlan. My expectation regarding nation of war and dragon shattered the moment I saw first introduction trailer.
I still do like and play genshin impact, but ive definitely been enjoying gathering wives and punishing gray raven way more. I personally love mavuika, as out of the other archons, she actually does her job, and gets the job done.
Alot of Genshin glaze in the comments, but I agree after playing WW 2.0, Genshin is far behind and i have been playing Genshin since nearly day 1, the future looks bleak with the devs behind Genshin, but better games that are taking Genshins formula and improving upon it are coming. still Genshin is in a sad state right now and only it's blind defenders are there to rush to say its amazing
Same. I loved Genshin back then but it took WuWa 2.0 to cement their position as the best open-world gacha formula. At least for me personally. I love it so much that I haven't done Natlan's recent archon quests and haven't built Mavuika and Citlali. And the funny thing is, I'm still just playing Genshin now for the story. But holy, Natlan is a huge disappointment for me. Fontaine is such a great patch so maybe I expected more.
Mmm, can't wait to upgrade my Mavuika talents in next year since the boss drop everything but her stuff and dream solvent literally doesn't exist (did 6 bosses today- zero DS so far...).
@ I do 3 most recent ones (new dragon, Arle, whale). The rest is hurting my soul cuz i have ton of these materials and i'll prolly never use them. And of course i did exaggerate just to point out the poor drop rate of such important item (that is if you upgrade lotta characters).
The only character in wuwa that contributes to exploration afaik is Shorekeeper. She can turn into a butterfly and move faster on ground and will auto gather any plants and stuff you fly into. Also hard pity in wuwa was always 80 I'm pretty sure.
oh btw i feel Genshin exploration rewards is exponentially more shitty compared to Wuwa...to put into perspective is smallest chest from wuwa contains *5 asterites at least and smallest amount of primos in Genshin is 1 r? also its not even a rumor and just facts buy hoyo literally firing ppl to make way for AI...chinese doing chinese things.
honestly, i do agree with most of your points but i kinda like that the characters have a special movement ability/exploration ability, it makes more value to pulling for certain characters, and it just ends up being something unique instead of generalized. Although imo at the very least, every character should be able to have one exploration ability (which is what i think their direction is now), as even Lanyan and Yumemizuki Mizuki who are not natlan characters can traverse different terrains, and teleport. I do wish this continues to happen, and as we get more characters, the characters are more available to everyone. One more thing, i agree with how you say "Gacha games are predatory in general but they should be able to hide it, so we can have fun without having the idea that it is predatory". They had some choices imo for the 5.3 Banners : 1. Extend the banner duration by 7 days or something 2. Split the 20 pulls into two patches (10 for the first patch and 10 for the second patch) 3. Split Mavuika and Citlali (Unlikely since both of their promotions happen in the first patch) and doing these would make them look less predatory, and more generous while still not losing that much anyway. One thing is that when they fail to "hide" their predatory systems, players are more reluctant to spending, as they feel like they get less benefit from the game itself. So in the end they're just getting double Ls as not only is their game full of controversy, they are regarded as a "bad and stingy company" and they also lose money. Honestly the only problem i have with 5.3, and if they scheduled it better it would have been so much more enjoyable because this patch is actually fire (no pun intended) with the amount of contents released. Finally, i do wish AT THE VERY LEAST, for the First week of a character banner, all of their materials should be available to you, and Newly released weekly bosses should have 3 reward-collection opportunity for the first week, so then we can finally level up our characters because WHAT THE FUCK I PRE-FARMED FOR MAVUIKA AND I GOTTA WAIT 3 WEEKS TO LEVEL UP HER TALENTS TO 5-8-9
Its sad that the game will never change. As a player from launch, i say confidently that the newer players defend this billion dollar company from everything. Die hard fans getting duped because they want to be different..
Bro, you HAVE to witness 2.0 WuWa ! Get back to the game, u need to FEEL how good it is ! I dunno if u need a little push cuz idk what reason, but if so, I'll be the little push u need to get back into it. Yeah, I never interested in playing WW pre-2.0. But after seeing the massive differences in Rinascita, I tried it. Was speedrunning to UL 14 & skipping all those Jinzhou dialogue to enter Rinascita ASAP😂. Gotta say the new region is a work of art.
I hate how Genshin is capped at 60FPS on PC and the models are just... Eh. Game needs QOL but it will probably eat away at their other games revenue because people can only play so much. Still, this is my secondary game so I don't usually grind a ton on it, at least as of late.
Man, I literally thought Citlali was a 4* character, I had forgotten that 4* characters in Genshin don't have ult cinematic, I thought she was with Mavuika. Damn
Ur video is awesome I too love Genshin because I love the characters, the world, the lore and the story and I have been playing since launch so I kinda have a soft spot for the game BUT from purely a GAMEPLAY POV WuWa is much better and has more better features.... I don't enjoy the story as much and I don't skip anything but everything else is so good in WuWa that bad writing doesn't affect me as much. The exploration feels so good in WuWa now TBH I personally have no issues with exploration in Natlan because I have most of the Natlan characters and exploration is a big focus in Natlan so that makes it easy af but I can't say the same for previous nations. Still I would say the game has come a long freaking way from back then in 2020 when I started playing but Genshin really needs to up it's game if it wants to be relevant and continue being a giant in the industry WuWa has already shaken things up a lot and more awesome Open-world gacha games are coming up.
Its fine & normal for a game to decline after many years, coz no game will last forever....2 years from now before Genshin ends & it may fall like how HI3 have fallen after its Part 1 ended.
I got 99% exploration done in inazuma, done through an interactive map that was always on the 2nd screen. Right now I'm at level 6 from inazuma's reputation because I want the glider for my raiden. It's fucking insane that It takes me this long to unlock something so damn trivial. The treasure compass unlocks at level 9, am I supposed to fucking wait like 15 weeks or something to be able to have the game suggest chests to me? The fact Genshin actually set up the outline for its main story with the Teyvat Chapter trailer still keeps me excited for what is to come. not really, wuthering waves is one greatly articulated video away from being critized to hell. Genshin has issues, and people are talking about them right now, while wuwa still gets away with its due to being the competitor and trying to point out genshins aswell.
If you don't like the game, just quit the game, you literally have 4 other alternatives which you consider better, so why exactly are you complaining about an outdated game. Just play Wuthering Waves brother.
sooo.. Agree with the grind. It's weird to impelement a schedule on the weapon ascension mats. And it's particularly weird to limit weekly boss. I DON'T AGREE with everything you said about finding chests. If you're gonna give me a map with every chests, why not just go all out and show all chests in the whole region? Heck why not take it further. Don't add chests! Just give the rewards thru mail. This is like the stupidest thing I've heard as a criticism against genshin. I love looking for chests. I typically use the compass when my exploration is 99-100% in a region. Exploration about traversal... i also don't agree. But i understand. I don't agree because i don't think every open world game should have the ability to fly. It's like criticizing breath of the wild because link can't fly. The rest of the video, i agree or understand.
Been playing since launched and I've never even forged a treasure compass, lol. I like how I would discover chest in places I've thought I have already explored a hundred times.
Genshin impact have done a lot of bad things but i dont think that putting banner whit powerful characters is bad. I feel like it's a win win for all of us. We got powerful reruns like nouvellette, arlecchino clorende, furina, nahida ecc. And they get our money. I'm sure that's much better than having trash rerun back to back to back.
coming from hardcore ARPG , am OK with the material grind , in fact I kind of find it charming cause it made you plan ahead and also try not to over focus only on 1 character , I do know this POV is not going to go down well with players , but convenience as stated IMHO actually kind of take away the fun , its called exploration and the chest , the materials , the local specialty is the reward for that exploration Actually I think the all just simplified convenience offered by WuWa actually detrimental to the game , yes its much easier and its just asking player not to put into any effort which IMHO actually decrease the fulfillment part , when its not requiring any for real effort then the satisfaction upon able to fulfill something simply is not there I do agree the recent banners being one of the most predatory
True. I really missed the harsh Inazuma environment and the no map blind underground exploration. Too many QoL can make the experience less interesting. The QoL should be on something that doesn't touch overworld exploration & traveling like Gear Loadout (which they only implement in Honkai 3rd 😂), inventory sorting, Constellation toggle, Abyss/IT BGM selector.
i agree but i also think its slightly different than you say. its not that they demand less effort of you but its almost like they built the system specifically to cater to the complaints genshin players had. genshin world was not built with efficient exploration in mind but was mainly built to feel like an adventure and tell its own story, the world is meant to feel alive. wuwa's world feels built with efficient exploration as its core which makes it hard to appreciate other elements of it. the map feels less alive because its obvious they just put it together to have "exploration" as a core gameplay feature. it is less satisfying i agree but its not about the struggle of doing it, its that minmaxing was at the forefront of the design philosophy
Unfortunately a lot of Genshin players are still happy with this game no matter what even though this game is annoying as fuk to play. Also in CN 2024 revenue report Genshin is still top 1 apparently, it's revenue is about 3 times of Wuwa (Wuwa is 7th), so even though Genshin is falling behind in quality, it's still making tons of money lol. Pretty wild this game still make lots of money despite becoming more and more boring and doesn't listen to the community at all. We'll have to see if anything will change in 2025, hope Wuwa starts popping off.
revenue reports are not accurate. WW had its ceo saying it made the most money ever since the launch of the game. Genshin is in decline. the views on youtube have fallen off year by year and Natlan characters struggle to break even 1 million views

My thoughts exactly. I don't have issues with prefarming items, I do agree with new weekly bosses gating those mats and usually being unlucky getting 2 until I don't need them anymore and goes to 3.
Honestly i dont think is worth it to keep supporting genshin .. is sad because i loved it but they are just really predatory and dont care even one bit about their players.. and the weapon banner is simply a scam.. like seriously! Wuthering waves is just doing better in all aspects rn.
Most gacha games will take one thing from something else, look at other upcoming games and most of them follow the UI that we've seen in most gacha games.
And what UI element to be specific? Pulls? Energy? Map? Controls? Echoes? Talent? The only thing I can come up is just the controls for Mobile, Shop and World level mechanism, other than that, it's completely different or just some basic implementation of games, not a Genhsin things
Well, it seems the problem is not a game itself but a psychic type. I also play WW and most of things you see as pros, i see as con. Materials is not an issue in Genshin. Grind and Genshin is weird to use in the same sentence. This 10 min per day bit is not a grind. Fast exploration is only good when you do not like exploration in it's core. Slow, deliberate walking across terrain, memorising landmarks and climbing surfaces is a real exploration. Flashing across the map like a headless chicken and clearing map markers is not. Well, technically it is, but this is for someone who just want to deal with it asap and forget. I like exploration for real so, this lootmappers and flight is a con to me. Only place where GI is really falling behind is graphical fidelity and animation quality, which is logical - it's getting old. New update in WW is maybe good, but at the same time i feel like quitting. Because writing is king and they still do not know how to pace a good story. This is all subjective ofc, so relax :)
what? in wuwa u have similiar things u need weekly bosses to upgrade talents too, yea zzz did a step forward with this and its nice, lets hope hoyo will change this in the future and imo compass is for me a way better than lootmaper in wuwa :) and range of compass is really great compared to lootsoemthing in wuwa, sadly unlimited flying in wuwa is not good imo.. soon there will be autoplay in wuwa or rewards we will get to a mail after watching a map ._.?
Bro loot mapper has three charges its has biggest range. Thats really good than the compass that u need lvl 6 reputation to obtain. 3 seconds flying > wuwa flying mechanics. Auto play? Nah man, main story need skip button.… i havent even finish sumeru story yet lol too much yapping n waste of time
The only reason why I can't continue to play WuWa is because My PC can't run UE4 yet i need to get some upgrade and imma try WuWa again, the first few patches were rough based on my experience, but from what I am seeing WuWa is doing good right now, and its player base are healthy and thankful to what Kuro is delivering to them. I've been loyal to Mihoyo since their Honkai Impact days back at what 2018? but since 1.0 the Genshin Team just didn't do enough or rather won't do enough for this game, they don't care for its players. Its just sad. The game is good but it's not focusing on things that needs improvement.
i could not run wuwa on mobile or pc without it crashing its just a game issue i fear
@@JohnCook-c5b maybe ur phone doesn't meet the lowest requirements for wuwa to run.

Bro, WuWa pity has always been 80 since day 1.
this! And a guarantee on the weapon banner
Don't know if any comments already mention this, but Wuwa banner has always been 80 guarantee.
I haven't touched Genshin since Wuwa came out lol, enjoying my time with a company that is actually trying to listen to the community.
And literally none of the new characters can top the grappling hook and running on the walls :D (don't get me started on literal flying).
Lootmapper works in all region. I've used it on Black Shores too. Also just like you, I quit before natlan. My expectation regarding nation of war and dragon shattered the moment I saw first introduction trailer.
What do you mean? I completed (100%) blackshores with lootmapper.
@@tharateptrongpanyachot6046 oh sorry i meant sensor...lol
@@LimC.ABut sensors aren't meant for finding chest only, there's side quest and some puzzles uses it tho.
Mmm, can't wait to upgrade my Mavuika talents in next year since the boss drop everything but her stuff and dream solvent literally doesn't exist (did 6 bosses today- zero DS so far...).
its not true i have plenty of this items.. do u even doing 3x bosses each week? if yes then its not possible to not have some dream solvents
Bro my mavuika is still lvl 1 skill because i hate farming world boss on how little drops they give. Its not worh my time😂
I got Mauvika, Citlali and Xilonen. Then I felt empty inside and just quit the game.
@ I do 3 most recent ones (new dragon, Arle, whale). The rest is hurting my soul cuz i have ton of these materials and i'll prolly never use them. And of course i did exaggerate just to point out the poor drop rate of such important item (that is if you upgrade lotta characters).
Don't know what you talking. I've 50 dream solvents. Do you farm bosses every weak ?
13:16 it's been 80 since launch, plus the probability of getting a 5* is higher (0.80000% iirc)
The only character in wuwa that contributes to exploration afaik is Shorekeeper. She can turn into a butterfly and move faster on ground and will auto gather any plants and stuff you fly into. Also hard pity in wuwa was always 80 I'm pretty sure.
It used to be 90 in the CBT before it became 80
@@odinmandu2184 Ah ok
oh btw i feel Genshin exploration rewards is exponentially more shitty compared to Wuwa...to put into perspective is smallest chest from wuwa contains *5 asterites at least and smallest amount of primos in Genshin is 1 r? also its not even a rumor and just facts buy hoyo literally firing ppl to make way for AI...chinese doing chinese things.
Yep, finally exploration is both fun and rewarding.
U can buy a candy with one primo gem
Smallest chest in Genshin is 0 primos. Their everywhere in Mondstat and Lyule.
@@kizuki2650 Not even that 😂
Didn't they just fire translators cause they were doing shit job and AI can do it better than those slackers?
we love a thoughtful conversation on the topic, I almost expect genshin fans to put down WuWa
good on you, bro, enjoy whatever game you happen to play
honestly, i do agree with most of your points but i kinda like that the characters have a special movement ability/exploration ability, it makes more value to pulling for certain characters, and it just ends up being something unique instead of generalized.
They had some choices imo for the 5.3 Banners :
1. Extend the banner duration by 7 days or something
2. Split the 20 pulls into two patches (10 for the first patch and 10 for the second patch)
3. Split Mavuika and Citlali (Unlikely since both of their promotions happen in the first patch)
and doing these would make them look less predatory, and more generous while still not losing that much anyway.
Finally, i do wish AT THE VERY LEAST, for the First week of a character banner, all of their materials should be available to you, and Newly released weekly bosses should have 3 reward-collection opportunity for the first week, so then we can finally level up our characters because WHAT THE FUCK I PRE-FARMED FOR MAVUIKA AND I GOTTA WAIT 3 WEEKS TO LEVEL UP HER TALENTS TO 5-8-9
That's cool and all but QoL shouldn't be locked behind a paywall
I didn't know genshin players had to grind on specific days, that's messed up
Its sad that the game will never change.
Just press the download button, let it update to the new version while u take a shower or something, and get back to wuwa !
Also no, pulls in wuwa was always 80, with a 50/50, but only for the event charas. For event weapons it's 80 and 100% guaranteed
@@diazpramudita5165 ... I don't recommend doing that. 1.x built a lot of the world building which is a necessity to understand the story.
I still love the characters but I feel sad that the game is not making any improvement. The dev dont seem to care about this game anymore.
This game is just not even remotely respectful with the players. I really only play this shit because I get jebaited by some characters...
I like it but i think wuwa is better right now.
genshin better
@@gamerbeast3616 that is actually a delusional take and iv been playing Genshin for 4 years. WW has better grpahics, combat, open world and the devs constantly listen. anyone who takes the genshin glaze glasses off can tell its falling behind the competition

@@thechillryan777That’s your opinion though. I’ll even share mine. To me, Genshin music is still far superior to Wuwa. I prefer the vibrant and colorful world to the drab and dreary post apocalyptic look. I prefer Genshin’s simplified combat and team building, even if Wuwa is more skill focused and flashy.
The fact Genshin actually set up the outline for its main story with the Teyvat Chapter trailer still keeps me excited for what is to come.
I’m glad Wuwa exists though, hopefully competition can drive Hoyo to do more that will improve the game for the better. QOL is very slow, but it is definitely better than when it began.

@@ZeHoovy2595 Skill issue honestly, unless you're newer to the game.
not really, wuthering waves is one greatly articulated video away from being critized to hell.
Genshin has issues, and people are talking about them right now, while wuwa still gets away with its due to being the competitor and trying to point out genshins aswell.
Like what?
They do have a problem okay, the difference is between either which dev will fix the problem or not.
why would they need to ever fix a game that is just their cash cow? it doesn't even use the honkai brand. genshin is simply not the favorite child :(
No. pay me for 15 minutes of my time back.
Yes, it is
If you don't like the game, just quit the game, you literally have 4 other alternatives which you consider better, so why exactly are you complaining about an outdated game.
The rest of the video, i agree or understand.
exactly my point mayby kuro should just add autoplay to wuwa xD ppl will be pleased :D? lel...
Been playing since launched and I've never even forged a treasure compass, lol. I like how I would discover chest in places I've thought I have already explored a hundred times.
they are not showing all the chest lol stop spread misinfo 😂 also you guys just doesnt have free fly 😂
@@blackmastery that's what the video says 😅
Genshin impact have done a lot of bad things but i dont think that putting banner whit powerful characters is bad. I feel like it's a win win for all of us. We got powerful reruns like nouvellette, arlecchino clorende, furina, nahida ecc. And they get our money. I'm sure that's much better than having trash rerun back to back to back.
Got carlotta and her weapon right after getting camellya and her weapon. Hmmm i wonder which game actually gives people a chance
Another genshin dead video. Its not that I am against what is said in this video, but there is just nothing new interesting to hear here
coming from hardcore ARPG , am OK with the material grind , in fact I kind of find it charming cause it made you plan ahead and also try not to over focus only on 1 character , I do know this POV is not going to go down well with players , but convenience as stated IMHO actually kind of take away the fun , its called exploration and the chest , the materials , the local specialty is the reward for that exploration
Actually I think the all just simplified convenience offered by WuWa actually detrimental to the game , yes its much easier and its just asking player not to put into any effort which IMHO actually decrease the fulfillment part , when its not requiring any for real effort then the satisfaction upon able to fulfill something simply is not there
I do agree the recent banners being one of the most predatory

You are wrong, wuwa from the beginning has bigger rates (0,8 vs 0,6) , earlier pity (80 vs 90) and guaranteed weapon banners.
Listen to me people... There is a word... 'Prefarming'...😂😂
My thoughts exactly. I don't have issues with prefarming items, I do agree with new weekly bosses gating those mats and usually being unlucky getting 2 until I don't need them anymore and goes to 3.
You talk like leaks are actually legal? Prefarming is only possible IF you watch leaks, and unless you don't, how da heck do you know?
Honestly i dont think is worth it to keep supporting genshin .. is sad because i loved it but they are just really predatory and dont care even one bit about their players.. and the weapon banner is simply a scam.. like seriously!
Wuthering waves is just doing better in all aspects rn.
I wanted to play Wuwa at some point but hate that they copied Genshin's minimalist UI instead of something more stylized
Most gacha games will take one thing from something else, look at other upcoming games and most of them follow the UI that we've seen in most gacha games.
good point tbh for a game that puts so much effort into its awesome character animations its ui does feel cheap in contrast
