I think the situation is, that they are using unreal engine 5 for the Witcher 4 through a partnership / publishing deal deal with epic games, even though the team just made the new RedEngine 4 for cyberpunk and future games. Probably a big stab in the back to alot of the guys that made CD projekts proprietary engine to go and use a sub-par engine just because your boss can pay you less now.
I understood it as some of the key talent for the engine left, and switching to UE5 which is more known and new hires can use it upon joining, instead of having to learn to RE4.
From what I saw all I know is that the director left due to "bullying" allegations which seemed suspicious to me. I know that this happened quite a while ago but the information was making the rounds again, so I wanted to put something out.
@@jakobschneider558 If this is fact I'm happy they left. Devs need to stop being biased for or against certain hardware manufacturers. They need to be biased for creating and finishing a good game. Add in the different tech from the different companies, sure, but don't just flaunt it. Flaunt you made something worth flaunting in the first place.
@@jakobschneider558 Least Copium addicted AMD user lamo. Nvidia just has better performance, don't be mad because you cheaped out on a GPU with terrible ray tracing performance.
@@shingoku999999 They aren't biased, Ray Tracing looks better than other lighting options and it's not Project Red's fault AMD has some of the worst ray tracing cores on the market. Either accept the limitations of your card or buy a better one like Nvida offers.
The DEI argument for ciri is asinine. And i doubt its the reason devs wre leaving. These devs knew the direction CDPR was going to go with it they wouldve left LONG ago. This video just feels like its making a LOTTTT of assumptions based off of these departures.
@@Mikoxz there is literally no reported reason for departures. You have an incredibly skewed idea of what an “undeniable fact” is lol. Ciri was a natural replacement for geralt as a protagonist. All these DEI gooners need to get a grip and realise not everything is for diversity lol its pathetic at this point

I said it myself in the video that I did not have an issue with Ciri taking over and while I may not know much about the deep lore, I stated that at least she is a well-established character. Sorry if you took it that way.
Well there goes Cyberpunk 2.

Rebel Wolves was established on 20th of november 2021, so their disagreement must have happend earlier than that.

I hope so they are sellouts
Biggest Nvidia shills in existence, by being nothing more than a RT/PT/DLSS tech demo with gaming elements.

Yea we just gotta take everything with a grain of salt these days I guess
