  • I've seen a lot of information, albeit it none of it really conclusive, on fusible links. This video is about my 1984 Dodge W250, however the info can be applied to any older vehicle with fusible links and older wiring. like and subscribe if this info was helpful, comment any questions!

I recently had two blown ones near the starter solenoid on my T - Bird. One of the fusible links had 6 different wire sizes going into one 14 GA fusible link wire to the starter solenoid. The best way I did it was to grab some big non insulated butt connectors, 8 AWG, I used for mine. Then fit all the six wires in one end and the 14 GA to the other end, and crimp them down, and add some heat shrink to it to make it neater. Hope this helps someone.

I have a 95 Dodge Dakota the trucks totally shut down when you're on the highway or just regular driving it will not restart again for some time Tack on the matter is erratic could it be useful link cause this?... Then to several mechanics that don't do a lot of diagnosing work into this truck a lot of money and it's just a paper weight Been searching for wires and things wrong I smelt something burning once but I'm not good with electrical stuff
