    You should do an old press VS new press competition video. Give them a variety of increasingly tough things to crush so we can see the difference in power and control.

    I think a big bucket of oobleck (non-newtonian fluid) would be super interesting as you have speed controls, I think at a low speed it would sink right in and displace it, but at a high speed would explode, but id love to see what actually happens

      Nothing much interesting would happen. Hydrostatically, oobleck behaves just like any other fluid. Only at high speed / high frequency do you get weird behaviour, but a hydraulic press is not at all the right tool to make that happen.
      BTW, "non-Newtonian fluid" is a pretty cagey description for the properties of oobleck, it's like describing wood as a "non-metallic material". The proper term is _dilatant_ fluid.

    Now that you have more power, i think leveämmät toolin päät might be good, because now you can get the same pressure as the old press outputs but on a laajempi alue. So maybe try that out

    I'm a silversmith thats been learning my craft and uploading videos here on YT. Silver is one of these metals that work hardens. I would love to see you "try" and crush a KG silver bar. Or even just a 5 or 10 ounce bar would be cool to see.

      Hopefully it worked better than the robot we had unracking parts after they got plated at the stamping/plating plant I worked at. That piece of shit couldn't handle half the parts, and barely worked on the parts it should handle, resulting in people being stuck doing it's job more often than it ran.

    The huge piston was really interesting. At first it looked like it was bending like one of those steel tubes, but then it turns out it was actually cracking from the start. Reminded me of those videos where people put Gallium into aluminium parts to make them fragile, except that the forces here were just orders of magnitude higher instead.

    It was fun watching some of this in the making. I'm glad you guys are past the difficult part of this massive upgrade and can start to enjoy. Now, you just have to figure out how to get watermellon juice out of acoustic foam.
    ...At some point, a GoPro and LED light needs to get hooked to the hose of a vacuum cleaner. A little beyond the press, perhaps...

    Try press a strong material setup like a teeter totter. Press on one side and adjust and move center of mass location. Fling things like a midsize trebuchet, i think that would be pretty entertaining 😂

    After watching all those spools of string and rope, it makes me wonder what a spools of various gauge wire would do. It would be interesting to see 18 gauge vs 12 gauge, or even a spool of galvanized steel fencing wire.

    Use a barrier on the top and bottom of the paper to protect your piston and plate, put glue within the napkins then, hold the pressure as the glue sets? I believe you will have plywood after that... 🤔

    The piston looked to be a cast piston, might be interesting to see the difference between cast, machined billet and forged piston. One idea: have you tried crushing glass?
