    Finally, a reverb demo done with good music and proper use of the patches. Sounds great.

    Thank you! I've been searching UA-cam for something which captures the sound of the larger MX400 unit without someone talking as soon as the sound begins to decay and missing the entire point of hosting a video. As it's basically two MX200's I looked and found this. Sold me on buying a used Lexicon from a local seller! Subscribed, thanks again.

    paid 100$ for it. Good reverbs with knob per function access, Delays with tap tempo and subdivision, chorus, flanger and all that mod goodness, oh and you can run 2 effects at once in parallel! They’re practically giving it away on the used market considering the features

    This one isn't ass agressivly grainy as my mpx100. But man the control's are so much better. Might get one of these for a cleaner verb and keep my 100 as my vintage dirty verb unit.

    Hey, nice videos. I have learned a lot with you but... I have a question.
    How would you connect the MX200 via S/PDIF in Logic through an interface?
    I look forward to your answer. Thanks !

    • @speakingcolors
      @speakingcolors 11 місяців тому

      If it has an spdif out, you connect its out to the in of your interface. Then in your DAW, you select that output/input to send through and back.

    I don't suppose you could direct me towards a nice reverb for a ballad, for example, Can't Help Falling In Love, by Elvis.
    I've been to Karaoke events and some of them have amazing sounding reverbs for singing ballads, but I'm having trouble nailing such a sound.
    Any help would be appreciated, I have just bought this same unit.
    Thanks in advance.

      Wondering how you came out with the lexicon - this should produce darn near any reverb you could ever use. I think most vocals use plate reverb but that's completely dependent on preference. Subsequent reverbs are probably based on this unit.

  • @devonbiker

    Do you need to connect this Lexicon to two outputs into an amp to get the reverb and effects or will it playout on one single line out to one input into an amp please?

      there's no power switch. Yes you can push the big knob to load one of the presets, which are combonations of both processors!

    I just love your console! I wanted one years ago but they don't make them anymore. How do you like? Are you satisfied with the way it sounds and is there anything that maybe you don't like about it? :) Thanks!

    • @ZedMartyProduction
      @ZedMartyProduction  9 років тому +2

      +flotopo thanks! I'm pretty happy with it, didn't have any problems so far. I really like mixing with an analog console - moving faders, routing tracks to subgroups, process them with some outboard gear,... Once you figure out how to set everything up and make a template for the DAW it's a very convenient workflow. The only downside is, you have to make notes or take pictures of the faders and knobs for later recalls ;)
      As far as I know they have an updated version of it with different EQs, preamps and an integrated meterbridge. Behringer SX4882, it should be somewhere on their website!

    Hi
    I have seen your Alesis Midiverb 4 video and this one with the Lexicon MX200. Which one do you recomend me? I would use mainly for vocals and also for synths.
    I also have a doubt with the Lexicon... it has two effects processors and is posibble to use two effects at the same time but, Is it possible to send both effects by different outputs? I want to mean that if I have a mixer with two auxs, Can I use each Lexicon effect processor for each aux and send two different effects to the mixer?
    Thanks!

    • @ZedMartyProduction
      @ZedMartyProduction  9 років тому +3

      KurtFuller The Alesis has more effects which might be useful for synths, but for vocals I prefer the Lexicon. Yes, you can use the MX200 in a Dual Mono Setup, where each processor is routed to a separate output.

    Can somebody please help me? I use a Saffire Pro 40 Interface with Logic Pro X and am looking at getting this reverb, how do I wire it up? and how does it work? Do i have to record the effect on the rack live as it goes in or can i record the track and add the effects later? Debating between rack effects and plug ins but unsure of the capabilities of them both. Thank you.
