      will this work with a boss metal pedal and my guitar amp? for just power electronics noise dark industrial dark ambient feedback noise music, with reverb/distortion spoken vocals......like bands con-dom, the grey wolves, genocide organ, k.f.r, or do i need a synthisizer to connect this to??? i'm trying to find out all what i need....i am tired of playing guitar unless it helps with the chaos sound of bands mentioned.....just done with my black metal DSBM band demonic painful vocals too (peisithanatos) no one i know knows power electronics noise industrial dark ambient unless downloading free crappy digital fl studio type sounds....could really use advice on what i need to create my chaotic serenity!!!!! that's why i mentioned some main bands, or if i decide to scream power electronics noise like final solution "kill mode" is a perfect song to explain this 2nd style/vocally....

      Yeah that's strong man .... Look at me I'm at Starbucks with my beard...................so funny. What is funnier is that I just bought this used off of Craigslist ( a couple of hours ago) and I met the seller at Starbucks. But he wasn't a hipster, he was this really cool young guy and you could tell he was brilliant. Haven't hooked it up yet but I can't wait. Got it for 50 bucks with the power supply---- WHAAAA?????????????? Cool guy just kicking it down, My music "career" lol is over, I am 57 now, but I'm setting up a jam room in my garage to have some jam parties and this is gonna be perfect for vocals! I will never stop jammin .........it keeps me alive. Yeah!!!!

    This MX series sound amazing,great clean crisp wide sounding reverbs.If this is entry level Lexicon,i can imagine how the PCM96 will sound.This Lexicon sounds natural,not like M350, muffled.MX's sound on hall setting comes closest to what I get when I sing in a big hall ,just listen to the tails how smoothly fade away.

    • @kicksNCY
      @kicksNCY 2 роки тому +2

      I find that the M350 sounds better... the MX200 sounds bland compared to M350. based on this channel videos. But MX has a better design with its 2 mix knobs and those 2 free processors and architecture.

    Great tutorial! Best demo on this!
    I have a DBX compressor and BBE 882i maximizer.
    Can’t wait to pick this up and connect to those. Only need it for vocals - home karaoke!
    How would you setup to use both engines? Saw another video the guy said best to use both engines-thicken or double the vocals. Sounded awesome.
    But he did not show how to set it

    I bought the h9 eventide hype and blew a bunch of money only to discover that the mx200 is as good sound quality and does all I need it too.

    thank you bro, very clear instruction, I have one of this Lexicon mx200 and mackie mixer, I have so much trouble for adjustment. is that ok of I plug my microphone traight to left input of the Lexicon, and the output go to the microphone input of the mixer?
    do you think TC helicon vocal effect mic machanic sound better than lexicon for karaoke?

    Hi
    If I use this Lexicon for microphone only, can I use both processors
    1 and 2 at the same time? Or I just only use either one?

    So, I have a very similar setup. I have the sm7b and the lexicon mx200 with a focusrite 18i20 interface. I am just kind of confused how I hook it up to the interface. Do you know of any videos or resources that deal with this?

  • @onzkicg

    sounds good, is it still practical to buy now? I’m torn if today’s VST (waves etc) can blow this out of water. I just want to sing karaoke and add some effects to it.. via laptop of hardware. What I don’t like with laptop effects is too many setup to do.

    you have the best reviews on reverb! ;) by the way, what can you say about this two reverbs? what of this two you like much more? as for me - tc electronic m350 is better. sound is more "juicy", more "fat", extensive and voluminous. tell, what you think about this? ;)

    • @recordingstudiotipsandrevi7747
      @recordingstudiotipsandrevi7747  8 років тому +1

      +Korg Korgevich thanks. They are both very good. Soundwise, I would say the TC is much more luscious sounding with big halls and the voice reverbs are more natural. The lexicon had a much denser, thickness too it. I usually like to use a lexicon plate on vocals and a TC hall on instruments (piano, strings, pads, etc). It's all preference, you really can't go wrong with either unit

    Hey man I have the same reverb that I'm going to be pairing up soon with a Vintage Teac 2 A analog summing mixer for my vocals. I master to cassette. Looking forward to learning how to use all of this together. Anyways I had to comment because I notice you also have sheet rock screws holding you gear in. LOL I built my own desk by adding onto a small TV stand. People are amazed when I tell them it's home made. Anyways, thanks for a cool video.

    Curious how this model measures up to the mx300, mx400 and up? On Amazon the mx300 & mx4000 have poor reviews. Btw, can you tell me who the artist and title of the piano music you sampled?

    • @Widow-Cicada
      @Widow-Cicada 7 років тому

      The mx300 does everything the 200 does, and a bit of what the mx400 does. It has the front panel nav + XLR and TLR 1/4 inch inputs and outputs like the 400 has. And Is just a bit of an upgrade from the 200 (more reverb options)

    I just compared the lowly mx200 and the eventide $699 h9 max and the lexicon is as clean and good sounding as the h9, in my guitar f/x loop for delays reverbs,etc...

    • @andyroy255

      hi, I have tried it with line level and guitar level -10 and+4, mx200 handles both, I am not knocking the h9 which is awesome, but the mx200 is so surprisingly close

    From what there is available on UA-cam concerning multi fx rack units in the 500$ price range I've heard Alesis anniversary 2,TC M100,M350 ,M One XL and the LEXICON MX series none of the above mentioned except Lexicon MX300 sounded as realistic as the MX300.Im not saying it's perfect but from all the rest the MX300 have the most realistic sound IMO.all the rest nasty artifacts.
