Hi! My name is Chris Davis, creator of this UA-cam channel that I call Trumpet Lessons HQ.
In this video I'm playing a transcription of a solo by Clifford Brown on a song called September Song.
This is one of my favorite solos of all time and it may be my all time favorite Clifford Brown solo. Yeah, my favorite things are typically solos that most people forget about or have never heard.
If you have ever heard this recording you know how beautiful it is. Sarah Vaughan starts with her wonderful voice and vibrato. Then Clifford Brown comes in with the cup muted solo and plays something so melodic.
This is easily one of my favorite trumpet solo transcriptions. Hands down!
This recording reminds me of when I was younger and first discovering jazz music.
I heard Daahoud, Cherokee, Jordu, and all the other incredible solos but this September Song solo spoke to my heart.

Keep on doing what you're doing. I don't believe UA-cam flagged you because you played too closely to the original version, but rather one of your fellow rivals made the complaint; you know the kind of musician who doesn't want you covering the same kind of material that they're tutoring on.
