We still have my grandpa's Allis Chalmers HD7 dozer. That thing was awesome for pushing snow. My neighbor used to own an old military tank with a 500 c.i. Cadillac engine. The military removed the cannon before selling to him. He killed a lot of deer in the Florida Everglades when he went hunting with that tank.
Seems pretty high geared ,could do with 1 more lower gear ,I found an old Oliver frame yrs ago ,told my M8 ,so we went and bought it ,he put an Austin diesel engine in it ,went pretty good
@@joeyrector1015 that’s how memories are made and one day I’ll look back on them and smile just like you 😊 and I’m sure it will give my kids something to laugh about as well 😂
@@joeyrector1015 that’s horrible, I’m sorry to hear that. We never know how long we get so it’s important to focus on what really matters and make the most of it!
Cool video. I can’t help but wonder why they made all of those old tractors so high geared. I had an old D-4 Cat from 1942. I think it stormed the beaches of Normandy. Lol. and it was also high geared.
Some years back I bought a Cletrac that was a reject from "junkyard wars," LOL, someone had "tossed' a pinto 1200 and auto in the thing. I yarded that out and adapted a Toyota 20 and 4 speed, used a D2/ D4 cat pony motor governor on it. I am in town and no longer have the coin or physical ability to move all my stuff. Sold it a few years back. Would love to know what happened to it and 'how it is doing." I had put a fair amount of money into hydraulics and hoses, etc.
You may want to fabricate some track fenders. Won’t look as mean, but with the off-road use and the bouncing, may save you from becoming one with the track. And wear hearing protection.
With that kind of recovery, it looks like you could benefit with adding an auxiliary transmission to have some slower gears. My OC46 has a reverser tranny, and there are times I wish it was the slow low instead.
I can't believe the wide stance on those old crawlers. Should make for a very stable platform. Looks like the engine burns a little bit of oil. Those engines are easy to overhaul. I personally would not have gone there in the first place.
That ole Oli never missed a beat.
I immensely enjoyed watching this
That waz a hoot. Thankz for sharing!
Awesome job kids 👏 enjoy every minute ❤
I love those vidio , thank you to bring us along
@@superbee6270 thanks for watching! 😊
That crawler is so awesome Happy Thanksgiving 🦃
@@alcopower5710 lol thank you, and happy thanksgiving! 😊
This just go's to show even thou it's old ,don't mean it's out, thanks for using what you have, not what you want have a great turkey day
Mr Oliver there did a fantastic job.
Looks like it has a lot higher ground clearance than a Cat of the same size.

You 2 puts me in mind of me and my brother which is passed away now. We use to do the same crazy stuff. But we had fun. Great video

@4Dan21 it will. I really miss my brother. He got killed in a car wreck back in September of 1997. He was 18.

@4Dan21 right. I do agree. But I still have alot of great memories
I'm not making any fun of you because I'm not a little guy either 😂 But the seat on the tractor is a good seat for as old as it is 👍😅
Sheesh... Idle that thing down lol. Dang lol
You're as funny as the video, how many times you going to say laugh out loud, if you say something stand behind it don't step on it, all respect,.

@@dustyroads834 lol yes a low range would be nice 😂
You could put stud's on the track for better sideways traction. Bolts sticking out of a motorcycle tire changes everything
That old tractor saying who's the boss now
I feel like I am watching one of Westin Champlin's relatives.
That's how ya get it done
Scary thing about a crawler is it will go down hill sideways faster than you could drive down it.
@@jakebielby5548 lol yes that’s very true! They are like skates when they are sideways 😂
Those tracks must be in pretty good shape to not get thrown going over all those rocks.
Old Oli did great.

Had a dozer like that in the 70s got its pine island n.y. The onion capital of the would .they had lots of those Oliver’s upthere
A winch mounted on a four-wheeler would have pulled it out.
Kids now want to get rid of the four wheelers and by crawlers
Man that crawler looks so tippy......especially with the driver positioned in the back like that.

Oliver made several variations, including a really narrow version
What is this the Red Green show?
@@rayelectricmn well if the women don’t fine ya handsome they should at least fine ya handy 🤣
Something wrong with 1st. Gear??
@@gregbell5975 lol that is first gear 🤣
Lock diff, on quad?
you should have a clip pin that goes into the pin on the back of the crawler
They don’t make equipment like that anymore
They were not geared very low
If I need to lower gear in it
tracks are loose
Ya you just dig in your spurs and yell yeeeeeee haaaaaaaa
Lmao 🤣
That's not a bike, a bike has 2 wheels that has 4 wheels, the names for it is ATV, 4-wheeler and quad.
looks fake
