I understand what you are saying about projects. I started fixing and flipping small engines a few years ago, and once everyone found out, the just give me their old junk instead of throwing it away. I have had people give me 6 push mowers and a gas powered blower in the last six weeks or so. Sometimes projects have a way of finding when you have this type of interest/hobby sometimes, even when you aren't looking for them. I went from 5 mowers to 14 in the span of a few months. I only have four left in the queue now, and three of them are long term projects, so I have been whittling it down a little at a time. I will have plenty of stuff to sell come Spring though.
Matt, you're like that old Cat lady, it's just that your cats don't have fur. A big thank you to Gino, Sam, Kim and anyone I missed. It was a tag team effort to get the two old gals loaded. Thanks for saving these machines Matt and also for bringing us along. My vote is for the D8.

After seeing your Ritchie bros auction prices and can’t fathom why some would leave these slowly die and not refurbish these to run again. Good on you Matt for making the old iron run again.
Definitely the HD11. Love that you're one of the few people rescuing the old iron. Some people just have no idea of the value in old iron, if they've ever had to have a technician come diagnose and repair a newer piece of equipment and the cost of that then they would know why you ,me and few others see value in the older stuff. It may not have the creature comforts of have AC, a cab and a radio but that don't make it work any better than a machine from the past. In my opinion there is nothing built stronger than the old stuff and the only reason it's usually put out to pasture is because someone didn't keep up on maintaining the critical parts of the unit and found a deal in an auction or a payment plan lease deal that was just an easier and quicker option and not necessarily a smarter long-term financial choice. In the end I hope you, me and hopefully more people in the future can save the older stuff from disappearing into a KIA or a fry pan and keep the wheels turning. Thanks for sharing all the things you do and look forward to the next one
Good video. Just a bunch of friends working to save some older machines. At the beginning I thought I heard Kurt speaking & then you confirmed it by telling us Kim was doing her thing. I’m fine with whichever you go work on first. For my vote….I say that you do what you gotta do in order to keep saving old iron. I love the rescue videos so much. It takes a special mindset to see the value that exists there …even beyond the obvious that you talked about. In order of priority: there is the obvious opportunity to save a machine, the ability to have a parts machine for an existing rescue, a parts machine to sell or trade components, skeletons that can become yard art, actual scrap weight.

Matt, that little TL12 Taco is quite the beast!!! Lots of us out here in youtube land really appreciate you saving old iron whenever you can. While you can't control the timing, you do control the ability to take advantage of the opportunity when it presents itself. That's more than a lot of us have the ability to do.
Between you, Sam, Gino, Kim, and the rest of the crew, y'all make me want to join the team if I even lived in the area. Don't worry about delays in starting the projects, we'll be here waiting whenever you get to them.
I'm sure like a lot of subscribers, we love watching what you're doing, no matter what it is at that particular moment.
Always great content from everyone involved!
Now, go fix the trailer!
Matt, As we would say in South Africa: "You may!" Meaning: This is so you, go ahead and do it, I love it and I love watching your channel. Thanks for sharing, keep it up.
man that place looked like a treasure trove of goodies! excellent finds and cant wait to see more of these beauties come back to life! thanks Matt
28:53 bald eagle is watching over you guys! Muricaaaa! Greetings Sir!
I was a off road heavy equipment mechanic for fourth seven years . This was really funny watching you all. And you thinking the blades were lighter . This would have been good for funnest home videos . Those D-8 has a great engine in them . Thanks
Gino deserves a raise ! He is that good!
Matt, always love your videos, especially when great friends lend a helping hand. Add one more vote for the D8.
I think the D8H would be a good video and you are one of my favorite UA-camrs channels
Much appreciated!
Geno is a man who gets results! You have great friends.
Impressive accomplishment getting all that heavy equipment loaded without it running. Sitting 20 years and it still moves. I'm looking forward to seeing it running and pushing some dirt; maybe in the spring. HD11, just considering if brought back to life for a reasonable price it could be sold for some capital for other projects. 🚜🔧
Matt, good friends + dozer power! Congrats!
D8 all day, for its age it's still a sturdy looking machine.
