Don't know who else feels this way, but I really enjoy seeing Azrael in these Batman stories regardless of universe or timeline. I don't think he's been the most nuanced character over the years but his upcoming in an almost religious league of assassins, much like Damien later, and how he views the roll of Batman because of it has alot of potential. It allows writers in stories like the White Knight to make really interesting interpretations
Im all down for more azrael hes my favorite member of the bat family well idk if he is apart of them anymore but i would love to see him more and put into games
You like in 80’s stuff, that isn’t the big three, Dearh in the Family, DKR, Killing Joke? I really first got into Batman comics, off the Son of the Demon, graphic novel.
Well done man-you caught eveything in the book! There's a lot jammed into the plot, so I think many readers got a little lost (understandably). So it's nice hearing you boil it all down in one place.
ROB DON'T ACT LIKE I FORGOT!! YOU NEVER FINISHED THIS SERIES!! ITS ONE OF MY FAVORITE BATMAN STORIES EVER. I'm glad you got around to making a video about it.
I've read and heard many Batman stories but this...elseworld or not, this on my very short list of best Batman story I've come across. (Court of owls, Under the Red Hood, Death in the family, Heart of Hush, Joker war, Endgame, Batman and Robin: Eternal vol 1-2) The earth shattering secret at the end of this video was aaaammmaazing as Rob loves to say. LoL. This isn't the first time Azrael has gotten the better of Batman. Is anyone else a fan of this Azrael.
You have no idea how happy I am you’re covering this, beyond the white knight is just as good too, you’ll love this whole series. Just don’t forget Harley Quinn
@@MforMovesets Yeah it shows how different Azeral is from Batman. So seeing him go after Babydoll like that really made me glad he will never be batman.
Love this series and I really hope we can get a good Batman adaptation for this story/art-style. Batman and everyone else actually looks like a real vigilante with actual tools/weapons as opposed to everything being super futuristic/high-tech. We kinda got this in the last movie but I hope they double down.
"And he Baned her" all I could think of is when Rick and morty said that and I thought "funny but that's not a term" and I guess I was mf wrong lol Damn crazy how they did Bane tho totally didn't see that one coming 🤯
“Land deals? Religious cults? A vampire named Laffy? Not to mention whigs, Torrés, and some underwater scooby-doo mystery from sixteen-who-gives-a-shit!” Oh my god this may be my favorite line I’ve ever read from Bullock.
Ok so I know you like to leave us on a cliff hanger but this is the first time I caught a new post and a comic that wasn't complete just sayin this one burns... thanks rob....
EPIC EPIC EPIC BOOK !! Everyone should read this !!! Sean murphy !!!! is a BOSS !!! had to buy this when it came out..... i will lsay the art in this entire series and all the rest of white knights series is worth buying all
With DC Rebooting, I would not be surprised if they make Batman/Bruce Wayne, a broken man, kind of like a Green Goblin, Moon Knight, kind of thing, where probably the murder of his parents right in front of him was too traumatic for him, so he creates another persona, which is Batman, and so it is a Moon Knight thing where the Batman operating all of the years thought that he was the original, but he's not, and so other traumatic events like the Death of Jason Todd, he creates more personas to deal with things, and hide from the world, and the true Bruce Wayne, is literally just a wining child, and she afraid, and a coward, and he doesn't want to do anything, unless his hand is forced and he just is like when Mark Spectar was saved by his other persona on the boat in the journey to the afterlife, and like with his brother Thomas Wayne Jr. And... Like how his mother turned into Joker in the Flashpoint Universe, that Martha Wayne was NOT a good person, but instead she gave birth to Bruce, and said that he was the son of Thomas Wayne, but that is actually not true, and Martha Wayne was just giving birth to many children from different fathers, just to use them for money and things like that, and she did some shady things, and probably even killed a few people to silence them and get what she wants, and then it might turn into something like Bruce probably has trauma from people in his earlier years, like from his mom or other guys that she met, and it turns out that Bruce Wayne has 17 different personalities from his past childhood and from his journeys as Batman and so on, and each persona is even more crazy and brutal than the next, where they actually kill, and things like that, and then he takes to "them" and it looks like he is crazy, talking to himself and things like that, and he even slaps and hits himself as he has this inner conflict with one another. If not that, then just the part about Bruce Wayne and Batman being two separate personas, because his murder of his parents was took traumatic for him. And the original Bruce created them to hide from the world, or do what he couldn't, because he says, "They... 'Protected' me !" Tell me what you all think.
Despite the criticism DC gets for marketing Batman the way they do, one has to give them credit. His stories tend to be at the very top when it comes to their characters. The detective work is always a treat.
It is great to have you back. I thought the greatest Batman story ever told was the one about Marcus and Bruce Wayne? Also, top 20 most powerful DC characters hierarchy please!
The og white knight I wasn't a fan of, now this... this is greeeaat, it actually feels like reading some mystery book with a detective and lots of action, which is what batman should be 😄 Story is fire absolutely fire, I just had to say it again

*role
Azrael was the best Batman eveeeerrrr
The white knight trilogy is one of the best on going batman series to exist.
I'd say the first one is alright, the second one is good and the newest one is pretty bad
Harley holding Batman back followed by Batman holding Harley back was a funny visual gag.
I thought I heard Rob say... not going to leave on a cliffhanger but he still did
Super glad to hear Mariah is still in your life! Love this story and as always, love your work
Same, I was wondering what happened.
Sad.
Man, that twist in the end I didn't see coming. I love how you narrate the comics, man. I got to know the rest of the story!!!!
The next dc animated movie should be Batman: The White Knight and Curse of the White knight.
Yes it should
I absolutely LOVED this book, back when I read this book earlier this year. It was absolutely incredible…
This was during that weird year when everyone redesigned the AzBats suit into something way cooler than from the 90’s.
Batman has some pretty cool comics, The New 52, A Death In The Family, Injustice and Injustice Vs MOTU are some of my favorites he’s appeared in.
You like in 80’s stuff, that isn’t the big three, Dearh in the Family, DKR, Killing Joke?
I really first got into Batman comics, off the Son of the Demon, graphic novel.
Agreed. Sean Gordon Murphy is a rare blessing to comics today.
He made a whole complete video on the white knight tho. He even put a playlist of all the separate videos too.
Im not sure why people keep saying this. He did. 4 years ago.

I never thought white knight could be surpassed, but this new story IS really amazing
Missed these long vids. Such a great story
Fun Fact: Jean Paul Valley Originally defeated Bane first in KnightFall before Bruce even Recovered from his back Being Broken.
Everyone take a second to thank Maria for getting rob to finish this story!
You did cover the first part way back when and I was upset you never got to finish it I’m so glad you are now! 🙏🏾🙏🏾

Background music sounds like shine on you. Crazy diamond.
You have no idea how happy I am you’re covering this, beyond the white knight is just as good too, you’ll love this whole series. Just don’t forget Harley Quinn
When you have the chance. Please cover Batman: Creature of the Night. It's amazing and it's one of the best Batman stories ever told.
I felt bad seeing Dollface bite the dust like that but its nice to see her around.
I just wanted to say the same lol he stabs poor Baby Doll, she's not even that evil.
I didn't mean to 🥹
@@MforMovesets Yeah it shows how different Azeral is from Batman. So seeing him go after Babydoll like that really made me glad he will never be batman.
I needed this watched too many news clips on UA-cam today. Thank you.
Love this series and I really hope we can get a good Batman adaptation for this story/art-style. Batman and everyone else actually looks like a real vigilante with actual tools/weapons as opposed to everything being super futuristic/high-tech. Absolutely one of the greatest Batman stories to be told!!🤘🏻
Man if only we could get this into an animated story , love it
"And he Baned her" all I could think of is when Rick and morty said that and I thought "funny but that's not a term" and I guess I was mf wrong lol

Sean Murphy is one of my favorite artist 😭🙌🏽
Hell yah brother! Don’t keep me in suspension for too long! This was an amazing synopsis.
It is possibly the most shocking revelation in batman history for me.
“Land deals? Religious cults? A vampire named Laffy? Not to mention whigs, Torrés, and some underwater scooby-doo mystery from sixteen-who-gives-a-shit!”
Oh my god this may be my favorite line I’ve ever read from Bullock.
Shout out to Etrigan. Made DC Dark Animated even more amazing.
When they flipped Bruce's life they did it on the 100 🤣
I love these long videos soooooo much.
God that bit where the jokers sets the stage as a chess board and says “ your move” to Batman was some cold blooded super villain flex
Rob this entire Batman run is legendary
It is hard for me to say this is the best bstman story ever told but hot damn it is definitely one of them
Thanks for sharing this, truly excellent content!
Hitting us with tons of content thanks Rob!
My gosh that Azrael suit is amazing!!
The redo from scratch approach is cool. You have more you to give now if that makes sense. Polished.
GOD I need cross over story where the Batman who Laughs meets White Knight Jack Napier. A lunatic Batman and a sane Joker? I'm down!!
I don't read batman books normally but this one is really good
The mech bat suit kinda looks like Rogue Sun
Without a doubt the best batman story thanks for the narration
