One historical correction in this debate: "Muslims were dominant in India at the time of British conquest..." I think Maratha empire (NOT Mughal Empire) was the most dominant force in India when British started their gradual conquest/expansion....

The country which came into existence on the hate of India and Hindus is the first fault line of Pakistan
Education in Pakistan is dominated by Mullahs and Madrasas and not by science, mathematics, social sciences, engineering etc
On UA-cam you have so many videos where very young children talk about only Islam, hate for Hindus, India, Israel etc This gives how educational programs are taught in schools- anything based on hate will not take the country forward
In a society where women is treated as second rate citizens and have no rights- the country cannot progress. Any country which thinks they should live as per the practices of 14 th century in treatment of women is doomed to fail

Sir, with due respect, inspite of your great erudition and learning, one cannot help but discern subtle shades of the same myth which the rulers of Pakistan perpetuated / are still perpetuating since it's creation , that of the perceived superiority of the Mussalman over the Hindu amongst their citizens, peeking at times in your discourse ( 'Mussalman being the master and Hindus being the servile race when the British arrived in the sub-continent '). If that is still the thought process of the Pakistani intelligentsia, then it is no wonder our two countries struggle for peace even after 75 years of independence.

I'm A Sindhi and I thank my great grand father that they didn't choose to live in Sindh-Pakistan, And also i think that why Pakistan is trapped in this situation is because we sindhi's had a great business mind and we focused on education which would be useful for Pakistan if they didn't have threaten us to either convert to Islam or leave Pakistan. So my message to the current youth will be stop assuming India as your enemy and focus on education(Not which is given in madrasa's).Hope the situation will change and in future we will be able to see a bright Pakistan.

      BUT that being said:
Not every Pakistani sees india/Indians their enemies and yes I am firm believer in education. We are falling way way behind in education. I was sad to see how many children are missing their school due to flood.
I do however want to bring it to your attention that not every Pakistani goes to madras. I have seen a lot of Indian comments. I am woman and I have gotten some religious education but never got to finish Quran. Mullahs that I have known

The only interpretation I got from that was, insaan pehle ata hai Aur phir khuda”. I was a kid but I also remember whenever we used to go for shopping in Rawalpindi, she would tell me places that belong to Hindus and Sikhs. I never paid attention to it but my religious parents never taught us to hate non-Muslims.

Am a product of Indian education and also saw what education has done for small town folks. Christian education was what we got but we never forgot our Ram or Allah or Guru Nanak Devji or anyone for that matter….. but between the chappal at home and ruler in school we studied and over a period of time realised that if we study well caste, religion and everything in post 1992 india disappears and given my position of privilege it still does (per year i support 5 kids and each one of them have done something with their economic lives) ….. so education and thank god that everybody in India still believes that education is more important than everything else , has led to the economic uplift ment of millions in India and also the overall economic uplift ment…..

For most Pakistanis, all these issues raised here (SORRY to say) are Miniscule... Because they are waiting for "Khalid bin Waleed" to come along -- who will WIN over the whole Barr-e-Sagheer (the Sub-continent) and COMPENSATE for everything under Islamic Nizam!!
For last many years, until even today this is believed to be "Amr bil Mahroof" Amir ul Momineen Hazrat Imran Khan Niazi....
Even If he fails, they will wait for someone else...
Until then guys here at this program -- have all your such discussions (ALL EXCELLENT by the way), but the writing is CLEARLY on the wall...
If (and this is a HUGE "If") this trend is reversed it'll be the equivalent of the coming of the "Anti-Christ" ...😉

You may like to consider me as an ancestoral citizen of Pakistan as I was born in Pakistan long before 1947 when there was no Pakistan. All my previous generations lived tgere. We moved to Delhi after the separation in 1947 & I had my education in Delhi where I got my MSc degree in Physics & then PhD in Sydney where I worked in aademia for four decades & now retired in Sydney Australia. I wish Pakistan & it's people a progressive path for a better economy & mass education covering every child. You should focus on humanities & science education as technology you can buy but not science. You have the most fertile land on earth the land of five Rivers. You can develop trade with Australia in particular for the agricultural goods. Australia is mostly desert & you can become the supply chain instead of China or India.

A very good comment, not a question, as the question is well known & coming from a 12 year old is a positive sign that Pakistan is on a right track. It is certain Pakistan missed out on the education of its masses while India pursued it very vigorously. The comment mad by Rubina that culture of India, Pakistan & Bangladesh is the same whether Hindu, Muslim & even the Sikhs & the Christians, is very true. We are far ahead of the Arabic nations & those who are culturally under their influence like Iran & Afghanistan where women are excluded from the mainstream of life don't enjoy equal right in education. This amounts to 50% loss of natural resources in the building up of the nation.
    Thank you
