re: juicing @4:11 That's only true if your juices contain nothing but high sugar fruits. However, juicing vegetables like celery, cucumbers, carrots, cabbages, beets, spinach and other leafy greens, etc (in addition to eating a high fibre diet) can deliver concentrated amounts of fresh nutrients that we would otherwise miss out on. Throw in a piece of fruit to make them more palatable, but make them predominantly vegetable based. I still get plenty of fibre from veggies in salads and cooked meals - the juices are in addition to those. Nobody would be able to munch through the amount of vegetables that go into juices - in fact, that much fibre would probably cause digestive problems. So don't dismiss juicing out of hand - it can be a valuable addition to a healthy diet.

You're one of the few people on here that recognize and say that for some getting on a scale once a day can be helpful. That USE to be me. Now it makes me sad so I don't do it but maybe 2x a week.

I had seen online that when you switch to whole foods and quit junk that you didn't need to count calories! I OF COURSE gained weight when I tried it. I came to UA-cam confused and overwhelmed and your videos really helped me ❤ Turns out my super healthy nutrient dense meals were also Calorie dense (900 a meal) and Intermittent Fasting is perfect for my busy lifestyle with 2 small boys! Your videos have really helped educate me, Thank you ❤ 110lbs to lose and you helped me start ❤

Great video with some awesome tips, Lacey! I admit that water intake is still difficult for me, but I'm improving slowly. And I think one tip most people overlook is the strength training. It does work! Thanks again for the great video!

Thanks, Laura! I agree - water can be sneaky to remember and difficult to fit in if you’re not used to it or busy.

I think its important to note that people should pace themselves with water. If you chug a gallon all at once, it can overwhelm your kidneys and your body will work extra hard just to evacuate the water which sort of defeats the purpose. My doctor walked me through a water drinking schedule and it really helped.

This is so helpful! I've been struggling to loose 10lbs & get back down to 125lbs for so long now. I love sugar & noodles too much & I can't get away from them lol. So starting in April I'm challenging myself to have no sugar for the whole month of April. It's going to be hard, but I think I can do it.

Man sugar and noodles are a difficult one to break. Fortunately there are so many healthier alternatives so you can easily swap them and still veg your fix :)

It's the people around me and family that makes it hard to lose weight. I would do good for almost a week or two and here's more food gave to me or around me. No support. I've tried everything. I don't know how control something that's always around me. Every since I quit smoking years back , I turned to the fridge for emotional support and gained to much. I try but without people to understand and be supported around you it's much harder for me every time.

Eventually what you have to understand is that you will never be able to control anything around you, the only thing you can ever control is yourself. You can’t rely on others to do the work for you. Self accountability comes from staying in awareness of the consequence of our actions, and not letting other people dictate what we decide to put in our bodies. Accountability and awareness is key. You can do it👍💕☺️

funny thing about cheat meals, a while ago I would have one say once a month maybe twice but my cheat meal was either chinese food like some type of chow main or Pizza wha thappend is that those diodnt taste as good as I remembered so for about 4 months on thos e cheeat meals I wouild buy it and it didn't tastes as good it actually tasted to salty so now when I have a craving for Pizza I just remember that it wont taste as good as I think, I even tried different places thinking that maybe it was the place I ordered from but nope.
this happened to me back in my teens when I used to exercise a lot I stopped potato chips pops and other salty sugary foods then when I would be at someones place around the holiday seasons I would try some of it and it would be too salty or sugary. I do like root beer or ginger beer but I might have some once a year , I would love to be able to make my own so I know what is in it , as it is I just grind uop ginger put it in a teaball and then intio a teapot and drink that , maybe also have some lemon put into a blender with some water , but even with doing all of that my weight and mostly fat is still up there I think that it has some things to do with age and not burning the calories I am 59yrs old and not as actuiver as I used to be

Why can’t we have whole milk when you support whole dairy Greek yogurt and same with peanut butter not the fat free. I can have real cheese. Why do you push almond sugar free milk and not whole milk for smoothies ?
