It was very annoying to hang out there. I always hated the fact that you would feel compelled to smoke weed that was just purchased, with the supplier. Dispensaries are so much less time consuming.

'Reefer Madness' 1936 should qualify as the earliest pot themed movie. It was a propaganda film funded by a church group to criminalize pot, which was medically legal in all 50 states at the time. Their plan was successful a year later, when it was criminalized in 1937. Sad day If you really want to see a mind blowing film, try to find 'Coke Ennyday' 1916! starring Douglas Fairbanks. I would recommend being at least half-baked for this one too. I got to see it in a theatre 40 maybe 45 years ago, along with 'Reefer Madness' and the main feature was Frank Zappa's '200 motels'. Fucking amazing triple feature.
James Franco gave one of the great comedic performances in history that will always be remembered. This movie was epic in 08 so against the establishment and showing the world back then the type of film stoners would be into

The more 70s movies I watch I’ve noticed some pretty casual weed smoking. Like in the original Friday the 13th it wasn’t a big deal, but then the 80s sequels come around and anyone who smokes is now a “stoner” character
@@davidalpeter9963 I think it was more so the fact he couldn't comprehend the cross having a hole in the paper down the center to get better flow and him thinking it would just burn without purpose When I first saw the movie alot of people I knew who attempted to make it never poked a hole through the sides (on the joint going across) to get better flow through the middle, they in-turn did what George said would happen and burned off the ends overtime because the center joint would burn down faster, and the entire cross section would be wasted because some people would just let it fall and scatter to the wind or constantly tried to light it which did burn it off, and most of them were avid smokers so it bugged me that they couldn't figure it out either. To clarify, in another situation the ends of the rolling paper were gone (from constant lighting) so the weed would also just fall out the sides and be wasted, people would then relight it causing more of the paper to burn, causing even more weed to fall out because there was nothing to hold it in. at least thats what I experienced, I'm thinking George was just confused on the idea a little

First round seemed like we were the only ones who were laughing. Two completely different experiences. And the crossjoint works, btw. I used to make them all the time. Those and tulip bulbs. There are bunch of ridiculous trick-joints out there. Steamboat was a fav I never tried.

This movie came out when I was in high school, and I have a very distinct memory of making slightly burnt peanut butter weed cookies before watching it and frantically airing out the kitchen so it wouldn't smell like weed by the time my mom got home. I've taken a break from smoking weed for a while but truly good stoner comedies are just as funny when you're not stoned!

The 2 side joints just burn down normally and then by the time they're gone you've already burned the main joint down to where they were so you don't lose ANY smoke...

You may of already been told but...
The cross joint the two smaller ones will burn away when you get to the cross bit....it has to be measured correctly for it to work but it does.
I remember watching this when this came out on DVD. I was new to smoking and I got so high I thought the beginning black & white scenes were the movie. Time was going so slow it literally felt like an hour or so. Didn’t even know what I was watching after a while lol 😂
