Who would you rather spend armageddon with?
Pedro Pascal probably, he'd take care of me :) Out of this movie? Definitely Jay
Sim... simply myself watching the tsunami coming with a nice cup of hot chocolate
Myself so I can think properly and in peace. Less chaotic that way. Maybe Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant and Karl Pilkington if I had to choose.
Just me, my pets, my booze and mary jane.
My friend jack daniels.
“Hermoine just stole all of our shit.” Hands down my favorite line of the movie.
I was dying laughing 😂😂😂
And George most actors/Hollywood are terrible people and just bc they recognize it and make a comedy about it doesn’t change that fact.
Exactly 😂😂 the cut to it is hilarious
Mine maybe the guy willing to "T Freak" Seth
Same here. Makes me burst out laughing every time I hear that line lmao
Michael Cera playing Michael Cera is iconic. He was the opposite of everything we know about him. It's unforgettable.
It's just like when Neil Patrick Harris played a pervy over-the-top version of himself in Harold & Kumar
For the scene with Michael Cera and Rihanna, Cera asked if he could actually slap her butt, and she said only if he could actually slap his face. So he did, and then she did and that ended up being the take that they used
It’s a truly small price to pay.
Worth it
If I ever meet Michel Cera imma ask him if I can sniff his hand
@@emersonlopez-cruz2029 Only if he can stick his finger in your [redacted]...
A fair trade is a fair trade.
Didn’t it take serval takes before the one that made it to the vid lol
Fun Fact: Channing Tatum was a late addition! Seth Rogen emailed many actors who declined and just before they cut the scene Jonah Hill emailed Channing Tatum since they were close due to 21 Jump Street. He responded pretty fast and they shot it soon after. Also he was super into the idea and even had suggestions that they kept in!
Where did you get that fact? I've heard Seth Rogen tell that story differently, he said they couldn't find someone and then eventually Jonah Hill was like "I bet Channing would do it.", they'd become friends through Jump Street. Jonah asked and he was down. You are right that he had some ideas too lol
@@KS-xk2so Oh shit you're right! I misremembered how they told it in the interview. It was Jonah that emailed him.
@@unxprienced9548 Jonah didn’t email him. Seth did. Jonah is the one that recommended Channing to him.
- "The power of Christ compels you!"
- "Oh, does it?"
😂
"It's not that compelling" lol
The look of disappointment on Simone’s face when Danny was the marauder was hilarious.
18:26 "I've already walked away too much" is honestly just an incredibly useful sentence in my everyday vocabulary.
And Seth saying ”no you haven’t, you can just turn around” 😂
“The next time you jerk off in my house I’m gonna shoot your dick off”
“You don’t have enough bullets bitch” is so wild 😭
From what I read, there was a lot of truth regarding the tension between Seth and Jay’s actual friendship that was reflected in this film. Also, they said that Danny McBride was constantly making everyone laugh on the set day in and day out.
Was it his relationship with James like in the movie or just all Hollywood?
@@Justafox305 Well, Seth hates James now. Times Up seemed to catch up to Franco. Rogen was accused of knowing about it so he made statements to distance himself from Franco.
@@joelwillems4081rogen stabbed his friend in the back. Rogen is the absolute worse
@@acutelilmint8035 That's certainly a take.
Probably the best apocalyptic comedy, next to Dogma. Dogma may have a smaller cast, but it is just as stacked. Alan Rickman, Chris Rock, Salma Hayek, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, and George Carlin.
Dogma and this are two of my all-time favourites. Clearly, you have excellent taste. 👍😉
@@SilentBob731 You TWO have excellent taste
Love Dogma! they should do that movie! and Idiocracy... but Dogma first!
Dogma is one of my favorite movies. It's amazing. Even used it in school. I only wish they had kept in Azrael's description of hell in the diner. In content and delivery it's amazing! But you can see it if you search for "evil is an abstract".
Well first they gotta watch "Clerks" and "Mallrats". Maybe "Chasing Amy"
17:41 here is the greatest moment in cinema history. Seth was having hard time trying not to laugh through this. I and lots of people were laughing HARD in theater.
Oh can see his body shaking from laughing in the background
This one destroyed me in the theater and it destroys me still to this day.
SO glad to see a reaction channel finally checking this one out. I can't believe how many of this era's A-list actors played along with this twisted-ass premise. One fantastic little hidden gem of a movie, totally underrated.
One of my all time favourite comedies. This movie shouldn't have worked as well as it did, but damn its great.
This is one of those films that is designed to be experienced in a theater full of people. It's still funny watching it like this, but the moment that Channing Tatum is revealed, the whole theater erupted in laughter. they had the volume turned up pretty loud to try and let people hear the dialog over the constant laughter.
Channing Tate-yum! so hilarious!
Fun fact: This is the last movie that Blockbuster put out for rent before the Franchise closed down(except for that one store)
I remember being so excited for this movie as someone who loved Superbad + pineapple express. Never been so hyped for a comedy before, and it actually delivered. Dying laughing watching this in theatres
RIP
Your comment sounded like it was going to end with you being disappointed.
Yup one of the last movies me and my highschool buddies seen in theaters all stoned 😂 great times
Every once in a while a project exceeds high expectations. These go on my "all-time favourites" list and this one absolutely qualifies.
you forgot Your Highness
The BJ/Ass eat bathroom scene capped off the with “sip time” line and Ceras dead stare is hands down the best scene of the movie
The Backstreet Boys at the end was just WAY too funny and brilliant 😂 My sister and I watched it for the first time and both started SCREAMING 🤣🤣
Fun fact: Rihanna slapping Michael Cera at the beginning was a real slap lol. Seth Rogen said she slapped him so hard he had to go lay down in his trailer. 😂
I still say "He gots to GYOH!" and I had forgotten where it came from 😂❤
Michael Cera with the juicebox is the funniest damn scene ever put on film
If you want another movie with Actors playing themselves I recommend The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent which is a self referential Nicholas Cage Comedy
I love this movie, it's so funny how they don't have characters they're just themselves.
No idea if another movie did it first (probably tbh)
I hope the movie Balls of Fury makes it onto your list. Along the same lines as Dodgeball. Love your reactions
I love this movie. I was made to attend "Revelations Camp" as a kid where they send you to church and scare you with their version of the second coming. Like fire and brimstone and demons. We were 10 years old and that leaves a mark. So it was nice to have some fun with it. I loved Danny McBride's character because it was basically his Kenny Powers character.
You went to jesus camp?!? I'm so sorry! I hope you've recovered.
That's a terrible thing to do to a bunch of kids. Sounds like you've recovered through. I'm just sorry you had to go through that.
I was never had to go to the camp but I am scared of what the second coming would be it also left a mark on me aswell
I’m still horrified too this day
This was soo much fun when it came out. Just so over the top and with a loaded cast playing themselves it was just kind of refreshing to see this in theaters at the time. Something wild that didn’t take itself too seriously.
"So good. Oh, You'll love it!" 🤣
17:48 oh man. I watched this movie in theaters and this scene had me dying so much I was trying not to laugh. I was like “No don’t do it. You’re an adult. It’s cum it’s no big deal. You’re not a kid. Don’t do it.” And I couldn’t hold in my laugh longer and just bursted out
I read that they wanted Whitney Houston to appear in the movie but after hearing she had died, they used her song "I Will Always Love You" near the end of the movie as a tribute to her.
Very unique premise for a crude comedic entry. Really liked this. Needs more reactions on the platform. IT’S MR VIDEO did a very enjoyable take as well.
I watched this film a load of times back when it was released. Watching this reaction and seeing your laughter made me realise how fun and awesome this movie really is. Sometimes we don't need deep, meaningful stuff; we just want silly fun! Thanks, guys!
I think Michael Cera is my favourite character in this. Three of my top five scenes in this movie are Cera's: the booty slap, "does this smell like cocaine to you", and the bathroom juicebox.
I think you two would love Kevin Smith's Dogma. Similar concept to this movie but with a different (high profile) cast and in my opinion better.
Sadly it’s hard to come by. Wikipedia:
’Dogma is unavailable to stream or purchase digitally due to the film's rights being owned personally by Bob and Harvey Weinstein in a deal that predates streaming. It is also out of print on home media, leading to inflated prices among resellers. In 2022, in lieu of the release of Clerks III, Smith talked about trying to buy back the rights to Dogma from the Weinsteins. He claimed that both of his offers were "scoffed at" and added that "my movie about angels is owned by the devil himself."’
Channing Tatum stole the movie. This dude kills me with every cameo 😂😂😂
Yeah, I don’t know how he does it. The dude is hilarious.
His cameo in Free Guy was the funniest part of the movie.
Great reaction CineBinge! This is a classic comedy film! So funny! Especially when James Franco and Danny McBride, have that dialog about the magazine Danny ruined! Hilarious! 😂😂😂😂😂
Have to admit to not being a huge Seth Rogan fan, but I loved this film way more than expected & the fact they parodied themselves so well!
Love Simones observation that literally NO-ONE at the party was raptured- think that summed up the movie & it's characters in one perfect sentence!
This film had so many great moments, but the whole, um, 'Magazine' bit had me in stitches!
Great reaction 😊😊💪❤
one of my favorite things about this is that Rhianna actually hit Michael Cera super hard 😭
fun fact, cera asked to really slap rihanna's butt, she agreed if she could slap him for real. they had multiple takes of that scene. knowing how much of a terrible person he is. I kept that scene on loop for a bit
😂
I mean,he plays a fictional, obnoxious version of himself, haven't really heard that he is terrible IRL. But yes, that slap is so satisfying.
We need more reactors to check this out cause this is too hilarious! Every line had me falling out of my seat when I first saw it!
When Channing Tatum shows up is easily the best part of a hilarious comedy. So much great self-parody from the talent involved.
For another apocalypse comedy with Craig Robinson - Rapture Palooza (with Anna Kendrick 😉)
Did you guys notice the part where the cast of Superbad were together? Cera, Hill and Mintz Plasse
When I sawthis movie in theaters I audible cheered when I saw the cast of superbad because superbad is my favorite comedy of all time
127 Hours is a good movie .. based on a true story. Look into it. Franco got nominated for best actor.
“ Hey does this Coke smell funny to you? “ SHWWWWWWWWW
I had the luxury of watching this in a theater with my friends when we were 14, don't know how we got in to this R-Rated movie. Luckily, we were the only ones there on opening night. (We live in a small border town in Canada.)
We were very loud to say the least. Love this movie. And I think I probably would like to spend Armageddon with those friends I saw this film with, we're all still friends having known each other for the majority of our lives.
my son bought me tickets for this movie for Father's day. We saw it together
Must have been a blast. Those are always the times to cherish
This is one of my favorite movies of all time, I literally laughed the whole movie. We need another movie like this again
At the same time this move was released Craig Robinson and Anna Kendrick did another movie called Rapture
Rich Evans obviously has the greatest laugh!
Happy St. Patrick's Day the both of you ☘
The bloopers for this movie are hilarious, you need to check them out!
Please react to Argo. You will appreciate the Canadian connection the movie has.
Happy st Patrick day 🍀☘️🇮🇪💚🤍🧡
"Its too late for you. You're already in the hole" made me literally roll on my bed laughing when I first watched this movie. What a fucking iconic film. Its infinitely quotable.
Jonah and Danny are the funniest ones. 😂
🎶 Eeevvvry boooody… rock your boooody 🎶
3:26 clearly george helped write the script 🙂
Remember seeing this in the theater and when Channing pulled up his mask and said hey what's up guys...the whole theater erupted.
10:05 If you've never tried Cinnamon Toast Crunch with chocolate milk you dont know what you're missing haha i actual eat all my ceral with chocolate milk now, makes it taste even better IMO especially CTC & Reese's cereal 😋
Hermione just stole our shit😂😂😂
This is one of my favorite comedies. Guilty pleasure. 😅
Rogen's laugh is a global treasure, protect it at all costs
My buddy and I quote random lines from this movie daily at work 😅 All time great comedy tier.
I just love that you 2 recognize that launching a video for a lunch time watch is the way to go! Keeps me entertained during these days I'm in the office lol.
If ya'll ever go on the Romantic side, give the "Before" series a try, the 1st being Before Sunset. Real cool trilogy and I suggest not trying to look up too much about them, just the 1st one if you need to :)
Oh yes finally! This movie is absolutely hilarious Got the whole Seth rogan Team playing as themselves. Is along with all the other cameos
One of my all time favourite comedy’s
God I fucking love this movie, I feel like it doesn't get talked about enough when it comes to modern comedy like Anchorman/Pineapple Express/Superbad etc.
I'm happy to see so many positive comments on this video because this film is criminally underrated, IMO.
It’s hard to find but Jay and Seth did a tv show called “Undeclared “ in 2001 that was hilarious and it’s where they became friends.
I really liked that show too. Shame it didn't last long
Wow Simones reaction to Jonah getting demon screwed was like she seen a massacre..
I love this movie so much only because Canadian legend Jay Baruchel gets to be the main character. I love him so much.
Channing Tatum on a leash is hilarious
Jay’s shirt is Zombie Vs Shark. It’s a reference to a scene from Lucio Fulci’s 1979 movie “Zombie”.
oh man, love all these movies from this crew
this movie started the random channing cameos
This movie has always cracked me up. Thanks for the great reaction and sharing with us. 🐾🐾🍻
You're gonna love "Don't Look Up."
Cool Hand Luke (1967)- Paul Newman 😎
Papillon (1973)- Steve McQueen / Dustin Hoffman🦋
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969)- Paul Newman / Robert Redford🤠
Sooo glad you guys reacted to this one. I saw this in theater with two friends and we were all laughing pretty much nonstop. Douchebag pretentious Jonah Hill really did it for me, being all fake nice.
Movie where actors plays themselves:
(At least a few of them.)
You have probably seen it, but *Being John Malkovich* (1999) MINOR SPOILERS BELOW
...
As themselves: John Malkovich, Charlie Sheen, Sean Penn and Brad Pitt.
As themselves (but only archive photo): Winona Ryder, Andy Dick, Isaac Hanson, Taylor Hanson and Zac Hanson.
Not sure if I got them all.
I love the awkward "Johnny!"/ "it's Jay"interaction at the beginning because Jay baruchel's real name is Jonathan haha
If you haven't seen it another 'End of the world' movie to think about is Steve Carrel and Kiera Knightly In 'Seeking For a friend for the end of the world'.
I love all of George’s LOTR merch. I’d love to send him a woodburning of Gandalf. I made one recently with him and the speak friend quote.
"it's too late, seth! i've already walked away too much!" so many quotable lines, it's insane
I saw this in the theater when it came out. At 42, I was by far the oldest person there and the only female. I guess I didn't fit the target demo, but I thought it was hilarious.
The bloopers are Hilarious too
Danny McBride made this movie for me. His assholish antics are so fun to watch.
Happy I found your channel
This is one of my go to movies. It is so hilarious! I always had the same thought that you did when the RV hits their car and I think if it had been Emma Watson as the cannibal leader it would have been that much better. You expect that from a Danny but not Emma.
Best "Actor playing more extreme version of themself" movie has too be "My Name Is Bruce". Bruce Campbell as an over the top Bruce Campbell. How can that not be awesome?
I think I remember reading somewhere that Watson really had a bad time on set. Someone please do the leg work and look that up for me 😊
Channing Tatum's "I love him" might be my favourite line reading of all time.
I was waiting for this one 😊😊
You need to see all the outtakes of this movie .
Laughed so hard at this movie, was priceless…instant classic
They wanted to make a second one where the Apocalypse happened at the premiere of this movie but everyone was so busy there was no way to get together. Then the Franco thing happened and ...
I love this film! McBride was by far the best thing about it.
The fact me and my mom love this movie at every moment just makes me feel so good.
Oh man, that DMX Ruff Ryder's reference was a throwback. I haven't heard that song in 20 years.
That Jonah scene with the demon is straight from the movie: Rosemarys baby😂. I only know that cause my grandma showed me that movie as a kid. When I saw this, I tripped out so much lmao
The comedies with these guys are seriously hit or miss for me, but I loved this one.
My favorite weird or at least unexpected laugh is Nick Offerman's.
agreed. when its a hit, its a big hit. 👍🏼
Simone's intro was legendary!!!
