The director of this episode said that Rhaenyra, Viserys and Daemon emerge out of episode 3 reborn with new perspective on who they are and what their purpose is. We saw Daemon hear that help is coming and he can finally take a breather, but instead he rows out on his own, feigns surrender, and like a coiled snake he strikes cutting down 16 men, kills the Crab Feeder and drags his corpse out showing off his new trophy!
After three years of war, that letter to Daemon is like Viserys telling him that he can't win the war without his brother's help. So, he rows out on his own, feigns surrender, strikes cutting down 16 men, and kills the Crab Feeder is his way of saying to Viserys "I don't need your help I can win this on my own."
@by that logic If you look closely, he looked and tried to hear the sound of dragon for a long while even after he surrendered and went on killing spree, before letting all the men out. Dragon only pops out after they were all out and he was surrounded. Also arrow thing can just be luck and in series they do show main character dodging a lot of arrow than side ones, like the side character might have dodged 10 arrow but thy will only show the one that hit. The biggest plot hole is how the army of Daemon crossed the sea and landed on island without the crabfeeder noticing.
@by that logic He was literally surrounded by an army after having 3 arrows nocked into him when he was standing still. As for the ones before do you think hitting a running target (who is constantly hiding behind objects and using people as a shield) especially one with Daemon's fitness and health being able to run that fast as it is with all the armor is similar to hunting some rabbit?
I loved the fact that Daemon prefered to die than to accept his brother help, and this is literally spoken by Viserys at the table to Rhaenyra moments earlier in that episode. lmao. He goes all or nothing and ends up getting all.
I interpreted Daemon beating the messenger like what he said to Viserys in the first episode, "Ten years you have been king and you never have asked me to be your hand." I saw the Daemon scene completely differently yes he has pride but he is also embarrassed. This was a chance to prove himself to the entire kingdom and importantly his brother. Viserys understood that to some degree as well. But the fact was he was losing and his brother was coming to bail him out yet again showing further he is nothing, without his brother help and power. That’s what took him to the edge, he felt helpless and disappointed in himself and as Viserys said he would rather kill himself than accept help so he did the suicide mission which turned the entire war in his favour before Viserys came and bailed him out. Also yet again props to Matt Smith wonderful acting without saying a word Doctor Who actors really know how to portray their thoughts feeling and range of emotion all with subtleties of their face and body and Smith did that perfectly today. Alcock, Ottos actor and Paddy performance was also amazing they are all really killing it
And some times it can be a small choice of words that makes the difference. In this case I think the words "I hope this aid will deliver the victory that has thus far evaded us" might have been a trigger just that little word "us". The king not doing anything to help Daemon for 3 years and then getting a letter that can be interpreted as the king claiming part of the victory because he decided to finally send some aid. Ig it had read "evaded you" it might still have been a slight but least acknowledged Daemons achievement.
@@edwinsuijkerbuijk5106 I won’t lie I don’t think the “us” was a trigger I think it’s just the help is coming. He wants to establish himself and make his own name independent of his brother that’s it. I don’t think he hold any animosity towards his brother nor did he want his brother to help him out ever during the war. He just wants to win this by himself
I think the big mistake by Viserys was to include “fail in your cause” in his letter to Daemon. If he had instead written it as a concession, that Daemon and Corlys were right to go after the Crabfeeder and he’s finally following their lead, the message would be better received.
Daemon was only ever there for himself and the glory a victory would bring him, and a respect he feels no one gives him (and he doesn't really give himself.) That moment showed it was never about helping anyone.
My favorite part of this episode by far is drunk king Viscerys and talking to Lannister and Hightower. Especially, when he cracks up laughing at Otto's suggestion.
After 3 years, this is Daemons whole life. He has worked hard. It means something. But if he takes a handout… it fails to mean anything accept loss. He had to do this on his own.
I'm happy Daemon is getting the recognition he deserved from the fan's for being one of the best characters from ASOIAF. Ofc I might be biased because the rogue prince have always been one of my favorites, but now when ppl mention Dany, Rhagor, or Jon we can start to see Daemon name pop up as will. Hopefully there's a blackfyre spinoff in the future so that another Daemon can be introduce to the fan's.
@@nostalgicbliss5547 Are we sure ?? I know he was great, but he even better than bloodraven or bittersteel ?? With Daemon a case can be made he was the best in the realm. Similar to how we know for sure that Arthur Danye was the best of his era.
Regarding the inbreeding, yes, it is tradition but more importantly, only one bloodline has the control of dragons. So it is important for them to concentrate power. You did notice there was a dragon rider from the Valeryons which is a huge threat to the king.
Yeah, but the Velaryon dragonriders were also part Targaryen. The only reason Laenor and Laena are dragonriders is because their mother is Rhaenys Targaryen. Also, Rhaenyra marrying Laenor also brings their dragons back to the Targaryen fold
The Valeryon dragon rider is the King's nephew (a few times removed), and has Targaryan blood himself via his mother Rhaenys, who is the King's cousin (the Queen who never was). It was his birthright to be a dragon rider and have a dragon egg placed in his crib as a baby. Hardly a "huge threat" to the King.
The only threat to the king is the king himself, I mean I hated the idea of him marrying a 12 years old but Corlys was more hurt about Viserys refusing to help in the Stepstones than his refusal of the marriage proposal.
@@Cbricklyne A nephew is the son of your sibling. Laenor Velaryron is Viserys' first cousin once removed on his mother's side and third cousin on his father's.
It looked like when Daemon got shot Caraxes flinched as if feeling what his rider feels cause we also see the wings block arrows which arguably would be the weakest skin on a dragon tell me if anyone else felt this way watching this
Yh Dragons and dragon rider have a deep connection note when daemon was threatened last ep his dragon instinctively came out and threatened. Also yh it’s one of it weakest points but dragons and their scales harden as they grow so it’s not hard to think the arrows aren’t strong enough to pierce it’s wings/hide
@@shiannesteele Dragons and riders are connected and blood bound at birth. It's actually as if they are halves of each others soul. There is a spiritual connection between dragon and rider. That's why when Daemon got angered when Otto implied his wife and unborn child would die Caraxes got rilled up and showed himself and here when Daemon got shot Caraxes felt it. The books go into more detail. When Drogon comes to save Dany in S5 and gets a spear in his neck Dany screams when Drogon gets impaled as she feels the exact same pain Drogon does. During the Dance of the Dragons when Helaena Targaryen threw herself to her death from her window in Maegor's Holdfast, Dreamfyre freaked out and rose suddenly, letting out a roar that shook the Dragonpit and snapped two of the chains that bound her.
I actually had more of an emotional reaction to this show quicker than GOT as well and it's because it's a more singular family focused show. Despite the time jumps, they've done a good job implying what has happened during said time jumps. I also really like all of these characters so far, aside from Otto but that's by design. I really only latched onto the Stark family and then they dispersed them throughout the world and I missed that bond. There's something about watching a family struggle within close proximity that hits different. I loved early GOT so it's not a knock against it, it's just a different connection I have to this show so far.
This episode was so freaking fire!! Daemon is an absolute beast. I loved this episode so much. Everyone is casted perfectly. Daemon just steals every scene he's in! Such a badass character
You’ll get plenty of opportunities to see Daemon in battle in future episodes, this one was very much ‘Daemon is furious and personally went to massacre this guy’ it feels like a character establishing moment, so the fight itself isn’t really the point.
The crabfeeder was weak with greyscale. He was no match for Daemon, it wouldn’t have been a fight! But, ig it would’ve been nice to see him slaughter Drahar!🤣⚔️
I interpreted Daemon beating the messenger like what he said to Viserys in the first episode, "Ten years you have been king and you never have asked me to be your hand." It's been 2 years since the war in the Stepstones happened, why are you only helping now?, its both anger and disappointment in his older brother not having his back.
I don't think he ever wanted his brother's help, I think in another episode mentioned he would rather die that get it. the fact his brother, who he and everyone else views as a weak king, was potentially about to bail him out was so horribly shameful to him that he did exactly what he said he would die, bet it all and rather die than be known as even weaker than a brother he doesn't respect who had come to his rescue.
3 years actually, and yes Daemon was like oh now you send help? You mean to take the credit for my hard work with your ships? Hell nah, this is my war, only I will get credit for this victory
Wait wait, if I piece it together, then that means Daemon married and sired kids, and if Daenerys descended from Daemon, then Daemon must have fathered his children with a royal? A Targaryen too? 🙉
12:31 He is referring to a dragon dream. A dragon dream is what allowed the Targaryen's and their allies to escape the doom of Valyria. The prophecy from the first episode was Aegon The Conqueror's dragon dream not something to just forget the next day when one wakes up.
Further symbolism, the representative of House Baratheon is a stag which is similar to a brown heart. Viserys got the brown hart instead of the white one as foreshadowing if what is to come of his line
Viserys even said to Rhaenyra that “Daemon would sooner die” than accept help from the king. Viserys could’ve sent a million men, Daemon would’ve gone ahead anyway.
I think the time jumps are done really well as they are realistic. The thing I hated about the last two seasons of game of thrones, especially as a book reader is how quick they jumped from important event to important event. In real life and in a well told story, those things take time. Daemon and Corlys taking the fight to the step stones and the crab feeder would not happen overnight. It would take a lot of time and careful planning. And that’s realistic to real life. Most peoples lives arent jam packed with action day to day.
There is a major reason behind those time jumps. The dance of dragon lastet 30 years and it was fought from various generations of Taragaryens. Season 1 is only the pacing for the war that will begin in season 2. Once the Dance begins, the real show begins !!
@@hello4280 If anything they grow faster. They are born when Dany is 13. Two years later, at the end of ADWD, Dany is 15, and Drogon is big enough for Dany to fly, not to mention he tosses a bunch of men around in the fighting pits easily enough. Of course, the rate of growth presumably slows. It also depends on the dragon. As we know, later dragons didn't grow at all, and Drogon was bigger than his siblings. However, Alissant did comment on Syrax growing quickly, presumably she hasn't suddenly stopped growing.
The showrunners said that Viserys took the brown stag on Aegon's name day as a symbol that he made the right choice. And to tie it all in, Rhaenyra encountered the White Hart.
@@thatoneblackdude3333 the White Hart was a symbol of royalty in the Crownlands before the Targaryens came, and a symbol of divin intervention. Viserys is a firm believer of visions and prophecy because it is something that is deep-rooted for the Targaryens.
@@thatoneblackdude3333 As the whitehart symbolizes royalty, it means that Rhaenyra's royalty/reign/ascension to the throne as queen is acknowledged by a divine being. Viserys takes the brown one's life for Aegon, and the others believe taking down the whitehart means it will welcome Aegon and acknowledge Aegon's royalty, and Otto (and other bannermen) hope that it symbolizes that Aegon should one day be the head royal. So to break it down, Viserys kills a supposed divine creature that signals royalty but he and his men were fooled into thinking it's the true white hart, just as the hopes for Aegon to be king. Rhaenyra instead is visited by the whitehart, which symbolizes she will be the queen, as if the beast has paid respect to the one true royal.
Viserys admittedly made an awful decision to marry Alicent, however I felt awful for him this episode living with those consequences and the fractured relationship with Rhaenyra.
@@PeaceEpieces alicent being married to him only happened after the last episode. If you're going to complain about a dull plot, then have some facts to back it up
@@gus9663 "only happened in the last episode" the last episode takes place 3 fucking years ago 1. Opening scene, the westrosi sailer telling the crabfeeder "house valeryon is coming for you!" ... the war been going on for a few years at this point. House valeryon isn't "coming".. they came years ago. 2. rhanera being attacked by the hog, she's dead. She's a 17 year old girl, a wild hog is on top of her for a few seconds, that's more then enough time. She'd be dead. 3. hated rhaneras dialogue with alicent. "Things don't need to be this way, in truth" .. this is around 1000 days after Episode 2 ended, and alicent says that? So is this the 400th time alicent has stated the regretful circumstances of their relationship? Or is it the first and she just waited 3 years to say it. 4. Daemons plot armor and the grayscale thing. Dragging the crabfeeders body and having his blood all over you.. if Damon gets greyscale then ok. But if he doesn't then wtf? 5. The lannister guy wasn't interesting. Maybe he's supposed to be a tool, that's fine but its just not interesting and the first two episodes perhaps spoiled me with great acting. This lannisters acting wasn't impressive at all. 6. No crabfeeder death scene. 7. Rhanera was my favorite going into 3, now it's Damon by default. If her screen time is to be her pouting about the same thing endlessly this will get boring quick To me all this episode proved is that they cant properly develop characters with chunks of years missing here or there. You have to fill in the gaps with your imagination to some extent. Yet when the next episode starts, you hear dialogue that you would have expected to occur already, but because of the time jump they re hash it out for The sake of the audience. It makes it seem very fan fare, with disingenuous-ly timed dialogue.
exactly, what is interesting remember in GOT when Aemon said a Targaryen alone in the world is terrible thing, by marrying Alicent he made himself lonely, he is not connected to the Hightower's because they have their own agenda, and all of the other lords are trying their best to get a piece of the cake, by compromising too much with the rest of them, he made himself vulnerable. There is a reason why the targayens kept it close to the family, so that things like this didn't happen. If vicerys had just waited 2 - 3 years with Laena, he wouldn't of been in this position, but he was ruled by his emotions. The Targaryens should have been stricter with their own customs in order to maintain power, they have to accept the harsh truth that they can't be like everyone else, they can never be like everyone else, the image of them being like Gods had to be maintained in order to keep order in the realm, this was their downfall. Jahearys made a huge mistake by allowing the council and the realm pick Viserys in the first place.
I mean, like the first 20 min in S1E1 of GoT had the symbolism of the Dire Wolves that they found, and how Jons was the runt and the white one (the 'bastard' but actual Targaryen/Stark). And I totally knew Daemon was going to be super upset that his brother would send reinforncements and "take the credit" (in his eyes) for the victory. Great episode.
Theory: Strategically, I can see that perhaps Daemon set up the entire scenario. By doing the same thing over and over, he "trained" the enemy to think one way while testing the limits to his brother (and not caring about the soldiers). I would guess that once he knew that his brother caved in then he could implement the plan which we the audience is supposed to think was just made up.
@@Usthereout It seems to be that way. There haven't been any without a pretty strong Targaryen connection. However, not many non-Targeyen's have tried. In the books, a Dornish Prince goes down to Dany's caged dragons in Mereen, thinking he can befriend them to get in Dany's good books, but he just get's roasted. I think that's the only case we know about of a non-Targaryen trying to befriend a dragon.
@@awesimo4684 In the next few seasons, when the war begins in earnest and they will have the need to find riders for the untamed dragons, we'll see the Dragonseeds, bastards and non bastards of Targaryens who will claim some dragons. Team Daemon here -- the battle in the 3rd act was a-fucking-mazing! Exceeded my expectations and then some. So glad GoT is back! Sorry "KILLED BY DRAGON FOOT" was one of hilariously😅 sad scene from #episode3 of #HouseoftheDragon Soldier - "Save me" #Caraxes - okay i will just land on you. 🔥
Viserys kills a Stag, then Rhaenyra saw a Stag Years later it was the Stag that killed the dragon, Robert Baratheon defeating Rhaegar Targaryen in the Rebellion.
During those scenes, I was thinking eerily similar thoughts. Which leads me to speculate that it was meant as a 'Robert's Rebellion' evocation. Awesome.
I loved the scene where Viserys was explaining that for him at least the gift of Prophecy was greater than being a Dragon rider… and how he had had the dream of a Crowned male heir. He questions whether he had shown a lack of Faith in the fulfilment of it by naming Rhaenyra as his heir… only to have son to Allicent… which he ironically bemoans he could never have forseen.
I love how Daemon just swaggered out of that cave with a half Crab-feeder, even without a hint of a limp, despite the fact that just a few minutes earlier he had had an arrow lodged into his knee or meniscus, which..........in most cases would mean you'd never walk straight again in your life or probably never at all.
Well the abgle, the distance, the wind, and the arrow quality can affect the penetration of the arrow. And im bot sure, but it seems he did have a mail or leather protection inside there. Its common enough for knights.
@@majorianus8055 The arrows got in deep enough that he had to break them off at the shafts to be able to move somewhat normally again, when the barbed heads still jammed inside him. And arrow getting that deep into your joints (let lone a complex joint like the knee) means you probably can't move that particular limb very effectively (especially if there's still a part of it jammed in), let alone carry your whole body weight, or half of it on it, ....all while dragging half of another person. Not to mention he was fine enough to RUN into the cave after the crab-feeder and then presumably fight him on at least a leg and a half and win. But it's okay. I get why they did it. It looks cool, and I liked it. (.....despite all that, which I just found funny. That's all)
Viserys(to Rhaenyra): As to your match, make it yourself. Search him out, find one that pleases you, as I have myself. Audience: No need to find him Your Grace, I think you know him very well.😅
In my opinion, *''any king who might need any elevation to sit on his horse back ,is no true king.''* And he needs proper wooden flight of stairs to even reach his horse's back. (while hunting[scene] if you pay attention.)
The white hart is mentioned in Eddard’s and Sansa’s chapters of AGOT, Sansa mentions the magical aspect about the creature and in Eddard’s, we learn that wolves got to it first. The stag was the sigil of House Durrandon which became House Baratheon.
Viserys has a good heart. And as much as he has a good heart, he's dumb and naive. Daemon is right, he's not good at being King. He doesn't have a strong presence, and a deep voice even amongst his own men. They all see his weaknesses and waiting for a chance to feed on his corpse. In the other hand, Daemon is strong and consistent. And he doesn't rely on anyone but himself. You saw when he received the letter his ego got bruised and he immediately ended the war all by himself.
The Velaryons were not a dragon riding family, but can still bond with an egg and learn to ride if properly trained. The suggestion is likely that Corlys was gifted an egg upon either his marriage to Rhaenys, or when he was named Master of Tides (the Admiral of the Royal Navy, known in GoT as the Master of Ships) and to the Small Council. So Laenor is a rider, but his family is generally not.
Did y’all notice the actor who’s portraying Lord Jason and Ser Tyland Lannister (Jefferson Hall) is the same guy who was Ser Hugh, the tourney knight killed by The Mountain in S.1 of GoT?
Rhaenyra doing her badass walk after brutalizing that hog is one of my favorite scenes in the entire show. Sis said “yeah I did that. Yeah I’m covered in blood. And what about it?” 💅🏾💕
You kill the Messenger because it sends a message. 😉 Daemon was conflicted when he got the message. He was happy his brother cared enough about him to send help, but also angered that Viserys knew he needed help. That gave Daemon the motivation to finally just end it with his one man assault.
@@BumpyBaluga Medieval Europe, with some fantasy added in. More fantasy in this show than GoT. The show jacks it up from medieval Europe though. Like the royal incest. That was the dumbest scene in the whole episode
@@PeaceEpieces that was important as to how dragons or daemon don't give a fuck about anything or anyone is the job is getting done
"Handout"? He wasn't the only one fighting this battle. That was a selfish move on his part.
@@PeverellTheThird wasn't that Laenor's strategy at first?

I'm happy Daemon is getting the recognition he deserved from the fan's for being one of the best characters from ASOIAF. Ofc I might be biased because the rogue prince have always been one of my favorites, but now when ppl mention Dany, Rhagor, or Jon we can start to see Daemon name pop up as will.
@@ayoa1173 to be fair, its hard to keep track with all the incest
the arrows didn’t pierce Caraxes but because Daemon expressed pain Caraxes also expressed it
It looked like when Daemon got shot Caraxes flinched as if feeling what his rider feels cause we also see the wings block arrows which arguably would be the weakest skin on a dragon tell me if anyone else felt this way watching this
no its trying to block the arrows for there rider .....
Yeah, a full grown dragon well in the books at least is pretty much invincible. Unless a shot from a scorpion lands in the eye.
His dragon also roared when it happened too like he knew and was angry or was feeling the pain too.
Ceraxes didn't scream because of the arrows. He screamed because Daemon was hurt.
It was a cool detail showing the connection between rider and dragon
Yep
This episode was so freaking fire!! Daemon is an absolute beast. I loved this episode so much. Everyone is casted perfectly. Daemon just steals every scene he's in! Such a badass character
Such a shame they didn't show Daemon Vs Crabfeeder cave fight. But at least, we saw Daemon's one man army skill. Awesome!
For me there wasn't much of a point showing the 1v1 since Daemon would of won anyway
I mean, it's obvious that this Crabfeeder is incapable of fighting. He's the type of man who can simply rule.
Not showing the fight made Daemon look more badass!
I'm team daemon all the way. He's a badass...🖤
I support Laenor Laena and Rhaenyra only
Truly
@@Usthereout they r the same team tbh
It has been 3, Aegon II is two years old in this episode, and you’d need nine months to carry him to term before he was born.
Now you know where Jon Snow, Daenerys and Oberion gets it from. They are direct descendents of Daemon.
Yes
Oberyn?
@@ramzes2624 Yes. Targaryens later married to the Martels, and Oberyn is a descendant of Daemon.
Ayy you forgot the Baratheon Boys too
Wait wait, if I piece it together, then that means Daemon married and sired kids, and if Daenerys descended from Daemon, then Daemon must have fathered his children with a royal? A Targaryen too? 🙉
Daemon's soundtrack whilst he was sailing to the Crab shore was beautiful yet somber.
I don't get it. Surely the stag would have to have killer him.
Plus the white one shown itself to the rightful heir his daughter. I thought that was good symbolism too seeing the meaning behind the white stag.
WOW! This show is just getting better. Even the 'slower' pace stuff is full of great scenes and dialogue. So little is wasted here.
I think that Daemon was pissed because his brother sent only a small help at the end of a 3 year war. It sounded to him like an insult.
👌👌
Sorry but I think you’ve got that one wrong
Viserys even said to Rhaenyra that “Daemon would sooner die” than accept help from the king. Viserys could’ve sent a million men, Daemon would’ve gone ahead anyway.
"Small help"? Some of you are too emotionally connected to these characters to see the bigger picture.
Going by the rate that Dany's dragons grew, Syrax should be fair bit larger now.
There is a major reason behind those time jumps. The dance of dragon lastet 30 years and it was fought from various generations of Taragaryens. Season 1 is only the pacing for the war that will begin in season 2. Once the Dance begins, the real show begins !!
@@awesimo4684 dany's dragons weren't that big in the books. It's the show making them huge
@@hello4280 Are we comparing to her show dragons from before season 6?
The showrunners said that Viserys took the brown stag on Aegon's name day as a symbol that he made the right choice. And to tie it all in, Rhaenyra encountered the White Hart.
What does rhenerya encountering the white one symbolize ? And how does killing the wrong one make it a good decision?
@@thatoneblackdude3333 the White Hart was a symbol of royalty in the Crownlands before the Targaryens came, and a symbol of divin intervention. Viserys is a firm believer of visions and prophecy because it is something that is deep-rooted for the Targaryens.
@@thatoneblackdude3333 Because the white one didn't show up for Aegon, only a brown one.

Shallow dull plot, the king and princess have been sulking about the same shit for what feels like an entire season of this show
@@PeaceEpieces alicent being married to him only happened after the last episode. If you're going to complain about a dull plot, then have some facts to back it up
@@gus9663 "only happened in the last episode" the last episode takes place 3 fucking years ago
If her screen time is to be her pouting about the same thing endlessly this will get boring quick
To me all this episode proved is that they cant properly develop characters with chunks of years missing here or there. You have to fill in the gaps with your imagination to some extent. Yet when the next episode starts, you hear dialogue that you would have expected to occur already, but because of the time jump they re hash it out for The sake of the audience. It makes it seem very fan fare, with disingenuous-ly timed dialogue.
Rhaenyra is taking it too far. Get over it, it's been 2 freaking years. Alicent is good at heart and both she and the King are behind Rhaenyra.
exactly, what is interesting remember in GOT when Aemon said a Targaryen alone in the world is terrible thing, by marrying Alicent he made himself lonely, he is not connected to the Hightower's because they have their own agenda, and all of the other lords are trying their best to get a piece of the cake, by compromising too much with the rest of them, he made himself vulnerable.
Rhaenyra is 17-18 at that time, 3 years after Episode 2 - Jason Lannister propose to her. As Viserys mentioned her 10 and 7 years...

Viserys kills a Stag, then Rhaenyra saw a Stag
Years later it was the Stag that killed the dragon, Robert Baratheon defeating Rhaegar Targaryen in the Rebellion.
During those scenes, I was thinking eerily similar thoughts. Which leads me to speculate that it was meant as a 'Robert's Rebellion' evocation. Awesome.
Lol troll
It was a stag that killed the dragon, but it was a boar that killed Robert.
THIS has nothing to do with Bobby B or Rhaegar.
Robert had Targaryen blood aswell
I loved the scene where Viserys was explaining that for him at least the gift of Prophecy was greater than being a Dragon rider… and how he had had the dream of a Crowned male heir. He questions whether he had shown a lack of Faith in the fulfilment of it by naming Rhaenyra as his heir… only to have son to Allicent… which he ironically bemoans he could never have forseen.
Viserys is a moran. He either should have never named Rhaeneyra his heir or never had more kids. All civil unrest that comes about is his fault.
@@majorianus8055
The arrows got in deep enough that he had to break them off at the shafts to be able to move somewhat normally again, when the barbed heads still jammed inside him.
That's all)
I have to give Achara props! Wouldn’t have noticed Viserys’ missing fingers if she hadn’t pointed it out here. No idea how I didn’t notice.

Viserys(to Rhaenyra): As to your match, make it yourself. Search him out, find one that pleases you, as I have myself.
Audience: No need to find him Your Grace, I think you know him very well.😅
I loved Viserys in this episode he was so great.
Targaryen dreams are not just dreams. They are often visions of the future. So understandably he was questioning his decision of naming her heir.
In my opinion, *''any king who might need any elevation to sit on his horse back ,is no true king.''* And he needs proper wooden flight of stairs to even reach his horse's back. (while hunting[scene] if you pay attention.)
It's funny how Jaby continues to say "back then" as if this show took place in a real historian time. XD
Leanor Valeryon own this episode! period. he deviced the place for Daemon and wipe out the crapfeeders with Seasmoke (dragon).
The white hart is mentioned in Eddard’s and Sansa’s chapters of AGOT, Sansa mentions the magical aspect about the creature and in Eddard’s, we learn that wolves got to it first.
The stag was the sigil of House Durrandon which became House Baratheon.
Seasmoke looked amazing!
You saw when he received the letter his ego got bruised and he immediately ended the war all by himself.
the way they took the war scene reminds me of the vikings
16:46 Not Ceraxes trying to jump in on the conversation 😅
The Velaryons were not a dragon riding family, but can still bond with an egg and learn to ride if properly trained. The suggestion is likely that Corlys was gifted an egg upon either his marriage to Rhaenys, or when he was named Master of Tides (the Admiral of the Royal Navy, known in GoT as the Master of Ships) and to the Small Council. So Laenor is a rider, but his family is generally not.

Daemon was conflicted when he got the message. He was happy his brother cared enough about him to send help, but also angered that Viserys knew he needed help. That gave Daemon the motivation to finally just end it with his one man assault.
