You were very lucky to get a large Solarbeat - they are as rare as hens teeth. Worth a lot more if you ever chose to sell!.. I’ve had both and prefer it… The strap isn’t great but pop on a Delugs one.

That’s why I got the stainless steel and bought the alligator leather from Delug. Cartier should replace that for the price you paid. Cartier also has alligator leather at $350 minimum. At Delug it’s half the price.

I will venture an say something I honestly think could be a “possible” reason. Maybe you spent some time putting your hand on a surface that damaged the strap? Could be a beautiful stone table on a country club, the sharp edge of a glass table, a rough wooden table? Even heavy duty leather straps or steel bracelets can get damaged in some minutes of an unfortunate encounter with an abrasive material. But yes, I think that apple strap is definitely lower in quality than we could expect from Cartier. Hope you already have the new one and enjoying it!

I just got my Cartier Tank Must (large size) in stainless steel bracelet yesterday. So glad I chose that cause I heard a lot of people not happy with the (non) leather strap quality. Yes, its a bit more expensive but with less maintenance and worry, I rather pay a bit more.

I definitely don’t like vegan leather. I do like your hair clips tho. I haven’t seen those in decades.

Yeah I’m not a huge fan of the strap on my Must either. I echo the other comments that say to go with a Delugs strap. I have two and I love them!
