Get the Lil'Bubba from Bubba Rope It's a kinetic recovery rope for ATV's. That snowmobile would just pop out of that slush in seconds. Works amazing when the vehicle doing the recovery has no traction. Nice vid as always.
Wow. lol, that slush on top of the lakes REALLY scares me. Its been years since i crossed any of the lakes here. It simply does not get cold enough. Great ride along, thanks for sharing. It was nice to see a little top speed run with the tracks. It looked incredibly stable.
I watched this one up at work but my phone wont let me make any comments. This one is rite up their with my favorites that you've done. Tracks are just a blast to run.
Love your videos...Just bought a 2014 Grizzly 700 with tracks and power steering...Your videos helped me make the choice...Thanks...Can't wait to get out in the snow and on the lake...Keep on having fun...David
Hi Cubbee, I enjoy your adventures. I’ve got a Foreman on Zillas in Alberta. You probably know this, but the rating (3000lbs etc) on a winch is only for last last turn of the drum, with the cable fully extended. I know it sucks to let it all out because it’s so slow to go back in, but with only 10 feet out, the power of the pull is only a small fraction of what it can do extended. Running to your multiplyer pulley and back to your own own quad doubles the force again. You actually have to be careful not to pull and bend the frame. Using an overhead strong branch, I’ve had a atv lift ITSELF vertically out of deep muck, where we swung it to better ground. I love watching the tracks, especially in some videos where they are outdoing the sleds. I worry the Forman might work too hard with them, but maybe someday I’ll take the plunge.
LOL. I didn't watch before commenting "First". I think I was in shock that there wasn't already 50 comments - lol - so I cheated. But now I've finished watching. It was an exciting adventure. You were in a bit of a kanundrum for awhile on the lake, but nothing you couldn't handle (especially with help). I am so impressed with those tracks. I'm seriously thinkin' of getting some. Thanx for taking us along Cub! Awesome!!!
Hey there Cubbee, was wondering if you just keep the gopro recording the whole time you are out and later do the editing? Or do you turn it on and off while out riding? I would imagine if you are on and off carefully there would be not to much need for editing. Just up load the entire footage and be done with it? Thoughts!!
cool vid. ive run into the same situation snowmobiling in the states & its scary as hell if your by yourself. lake looks good until you go to rip across and realize its a foot of snow ontop of 2 feet of slush! good thing you had the tracktor.
I love ATV track. They are a ton of fun. Super helpful when hunting too because they are a little more useful while out in the field with going over things.
The tracks turn the ATV's into little tanks LOL You can cruise around the swamps and trails checking things out. We've found though when you're stuck...you are really stuck! LOL Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
Great video Cubbee! If you would've made the landing strip a little longer, I would've brought my Grizzly up there in the company car, and we could've went for a rip! Next time!
Great video cubbeezx :)!! WOW!! that`s a lot of slush you should see my lake there so much slush and no tracks on the lake at all and plus it`s all hard now witch sucks we just put our snowmobiles away!! :( put what can you do right! And great video again!!!! :)
I think I'll try the one touch button thing. I have a WiFi kit, but when it's battry tanks, it switches over to the camera battery and drains it. The only plus is that, with the WiFi, I can see what I'm recording on my Android tablet. Good idea Cubbee. And yes, it does take a while to edit and render a long video. As usual, great video. CK must have erased the embarassing footage by accident. LOL.
Man I miss hav'in my tracks on !! Sniff ! Sniff ! Water under the snow SUCKS !! And Flat Light is no real fun either !! If a guy doesn't have a sled or doesn't want one, Tracks sure open up a new winter world of rid'in and that's why I love mine so much ... SQUIRREL !!
Great Video. If you would've made the landing strip a little longer, I could've brought my Grizzly up in the company car and went for a ride with you. Next time!
The ATV's on tracks are a lot of fun especially in deep snow, but they do not have the acceleration or speed of a snowmobile...depends on what you're going to be doing...
I need it for general transport of people and some goods. Basically I am looking for something that doesn't leave me stranded in the middle of nowhere.
I think by looking at the part where you tried the winch, a snatch block would have helped alot. I know it means reeling out alot of cable but your pulling power is greater as long as you kept traction with the wheeler.
Yes, I think you are right...a snatch block would have helped. The slush just got all up in the sled's track and must have turned it into about 1000 lbs..(Well felt like it anyway!). Thanks for watching!
Great video! Good thing you guys got some help getting CK's sled out, that looked like hard work! Wonder how those other two sleds did not get stuck? Have the weather forecasters in Ontario said when you all will finally start to thaw out? I am ready to see you guys hit the mud again. lol Thanks for sharing your ride!!
Yes, it does use more gas with the tracks on as they gear the Grizzly down. Usually too we are going through deep snow...so the Grizzly is working hard. Thanks for watching.
No, not the law to have mirrors. Saves having to turn you head around all the time to see if the other guy is still coming or if there is a car coming up behind you! Would really miss them now if we didn't have them.
Can that quad with tracks go through more that a normal snowmobile? I mean like a stock sled and not a mountain sled but like more than say a zr or a phazer
Our sleds were getting stuck in the deep snow (zlt 440/zrt 600) and the Grizzly on tracks would go through it like nothing. The tracks turned the Grizz into a tank!
No, we aren't allowed on the groomed trails. We have found that the snowmobile skis go on the track trails and the snowmobile track goes along the middle.
I'm in northern ontario, how would these tracks cope in 2ft of snow? I have a polaris indy 500 which gets stuck in deep snow so i'd rather upgrade my kodiak 450 with these if it's worth it.
We too are in northwestern Ontario and the tracks could easily handle 2 feet of snow. We had tracks on our Kodiak 450 for awhile but we have to say that they tracks make it work really hard! It could handle them ok but really slow going. Not sure if you've seen this video of ours or not but you can see the Kodiak in action with the tracks on ua-cam.com/video/PcG5UMlERqM/v-deo.html
Hi Cubbee,I like your track kit.Nice Cat too man.Reverse on a sled would be handy there. My son says he has been watching your videos for a year or more now.I just discovered your channel and vids.Really nice job.Our videos are of us wheeling and skidooing around our camp.We live in western New Brunswick.Check out a couple of our videos and see what you think.
Nice to see these older videos, hope all are doing well.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out the video. Slush has to be the worst! When you're stuck, you are STUCK!
Love the video.. Makes me miss the good old days when i lived in Ill. and rode snow mobiles. But at the same time I don’t miss the cold LOL
bought a king quad cant wait to get tracks . your video was awesome.
Congrats on the new ride! THanks for watching.
I love ATV track. They are a ton of fun. Super helpful when hunting too because they are a little more useful while out in the field with going over things.

Nice.how often do the grizzly need service ?
Way too much snow the last couple of winters makes for lots of slush on the lakes! Sent you some info on the mines!
Rob Farrow Too much snow = slush...you're right, just miserable stuff isn't it! Thanks buddy!
Great video Cubbee! If you would've made the landing strip a little longer, I would've brought my Grizzly up there in the company car, and we could've went for a rip! Next time!

Looked like a lot of fun guys I am now a subscriber Keep up the good work.
Thanks Jeremy for watching and subscribing!
looks like the "got sucked in " moment of impact footage disappeared as well cubbee hahahahahaaa
Cool movies you´re making. have a Grizzly 660 myself for use in forest for wood and other craft. best machine ever.. So reliable, strong..
Thanks, glad you enjoy the vids! We love our Yamaha's too, the reliability is impressive!
Awesome kitties, but they do get stuck a lot, yeah :) I miss my ZRT800, but I've a Bearcat now...get stuck less and it has reverse :)
Cool video(s)!
SQUIRREL !!
Great vid. Will the griz be coming of tracks and back on to tyres when it thaws?
Great Video. If you would've made the landing strip a little longer, I could've brought my Grizzly up in the company car and went for a ride with you. Next time!
Great Video Cubbee!
hey cubbee you think tracks do pretty good in deep snow?
+will c Yes, they sure do...they go through REALLY deep snow. When they get stuck though, they are STUCK!
Hey there, I need something into an average 1-2 m of snow. What would you recommend? Grizzly ATV or some snow mobile? Thx!

Oh that guy, forgot all about him. That guy caught jackfish like crazy there.
What track brand do you recommend for deep snow and ice. In some situations my quad tends to struggle with just tires.
Nice videos, how is the grizz for overall use?It looks like a real cat on the snow with those tracks!
What state and town do you guys live at? because that looks like a fun place to ride!
Great video! Good thing you guys got some help getting CK's sled out, that looked like hard work! Wonder how those other two sleds did not get stuck? Have the weather forecasters in Ontario said when you all will finally start to thaw out? I am ready to see you guys hit the mud again. lol Thanks for sharing your ride!!
do you notice that you use more gas with the tracks or is there really a differance
Yes, it does use more gas with the tracks on as they gear the Grizzly down. Usually too we are going through deep snow...so the Grizzly is working hard. Thanks for watching.
Again a nice Video...thank you so much. I wich a nice Week .
Viele Grüße aus Deutschland....STEFFEN
What part of Canada is this, eh?
Northwestern Ontario
Just a tip for ck..... When the snow starts to get put it to the bar!!!
Hey cub hows the ride with those trax on ....for some reason I imagine it would be pretty rough ?.......as always great vid guys !
is it a must for the mirrors I ride in pennsilvania and we don't need them
No, not the law to have mirrors. Saves having to turn you head around all the time to see if the other guy is still coming or if there is a car coming up behind you! Would really miss them now if we didn't have them.
Also, is there a way to make the speedometer on the Grizzly more accurate with the tracks?
Can that quad with tracks go through more that a normal snowmobile? I mean like a stock sled and not a mountain sled but like more than say a zr or a phazer
Our sleds were getting stuck in the deep snow (zlt 440/zrt 600) and the Grizzly on tracks would go through it like nothing. The tracks turned the Grizz into a tank!
Do the snowmobiles have a problems driving on the tracks you make in the snow?
No, we aren't allowed on the groomed trails. We have found that the snowmobile skis go on the track trails and the snowmobile track goes along the middle.
oh so how much were they all together?
Are your RPM's much higher with the tracks?
Great vid. Will the griz be staying on tracks when it thaws out with you?
does your quad speedometer read km/h or mp/h
how deep was the snow?
r the tracks perty good?
how did you get the tracks on the ATV
nice ride, scary moment for a while there.
how much did the tracks cost?
Why didn't you set the brakes and push your IN button on your winch
Trust me Palmer, we tried EVERYTHING! That slush weighs a ton and it just wasn't coming out.
Canadian. You are Canadian af.
what computer program do you use to create your go pro videos?
+Amy Woods We use Final Cut Pro X for the mac
Brilliant Video .... thanks for the upload :-))
just found your channel .... You have another Subscriber :-D
Thanks very much Gary! Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for subscribing!
How much did u sell your can am rally for
I want a Griz for summer fun. Too much snow to run tracks where I live though, they just turtle out and hang up.
The Grizzly is a lot of fun, very reliable for sure! Thanks for watching.
What do you use for a winch?
CK has a Superwinch and I just have a "no-name" from Canadian Tire for now. Both are 3500 lb winches. Thanks for watching.
nice and yeah i have the exact same thing only doesnt have tracks yet but im trying to find a decent winch for it
1timberwolf8
A good winch is very important...gets you out of some nasty places! Good luck
Can u put tracks in any fourwheeler?
You probably can, not sure if they make kits for every model though...they do take a lot of power to turn, so you need a bigger motor.
And Newfoundland corner brook is so nice for a tv ski doo and tv roading
I bet you have a ton of great trails!
SOOO SICK LOVE THE VIDS!!!
why is it your last track ride
After the adventure we are cautious when we see slush...definitely wasn't our last track ride though!
Nice recovery guys! I saw the jack-fish to! really? lol
yveskc1 Oh, I had forgotten about this ride...blocked it from my memory...no fun!
How much did you pay for the quad tracks?
Justinchris 22 The tracks in this video were our older ones..we got them used for about half price...$2000
wow they are a lot
WHAT is the deal with the bright green water? Is the lake near a nuke plant, or what? Yuck!!!
Damon Thomas That is just the colour of the water..no nuke plants around here. When the water mixes with the snow it turns to slush and it is not fun!
you've never seen slush have you? it reflects the light in weird ways
You side try to get the new 2015 viking 6 have a look at it on you tube
Would be nice to try one for sure!
