Bob understands that the music he makes is much more than technical skill. He truly imparts a little bit of his soul into everything he plays. Thank you very much, and know that it is greatly appreciated.
I just discovered Bob because this video was recommended. I should create a night time playlist of his videos because the light, steady, dreamy playing would surely make perfect lullabies.
Beautiful playing and tone! Thanks for sharing! I love that playing in the pocket with no hurry, and this beautiful tone you pull out of the instrument.
Perfect setting and background to compliment the vintage Martin and terrific playing. I wonder if all that wood surrounding you adds to the great tone, like the perfect acoustic studio. Great job and thanks for sharing it. Perfect. 🙏❤️😎
First time I've seen you... won't be the last. Very clean pickin'. Norman has always been one of my favorites. I've seen him and Nancy several times. He used to come to Huntsville quite often. Keep tickling the strings my friend. I really enjoy it.
Excellent !...I've been workin' on your version of Angeline the Baker and started this one...You and Mr.Blake are two of the greatest players to ever walk the earth.
Great picking on a very cool tune. Amazing tone on that old Martin. Our Irish band plays a tune by the same name but it’s a hornpipe and definitely a different melody.
I listen to your playing and videos over and over and try to decipher what it is that makes your guitar work so interesting & satisfying. It is clean with great tone, and it is always melody focused with tasteful embellishment, but it has a specific "Je ne sais quoi" that I can't quite pin down. I am leaning toward it simply being your love of the music that exudes in your playing. I believe you could play the single note sheet music for "Shoo Fly" out of Mel Bay's "Learn To Play The Guitar", volume 1, and it would sound incredible. Great playing as usual, & I appreciate & enjoy your videos. 👍
My goodness… what treat to listen to. How are you mic’ing this to get such a wonderful sound without any background noise? It is as if Mother Nature herself stopped everything to listen.
@@missouriboy66 I use one too. However, that's where my similarities with you (Bob Miner) begin and end. 🎸That said, I do try and copy your arrangements to impress my friends. lol
Sounds a lot like Norman, which is the highest compliment I can give any guitar player. But I am a fiddler primarily and trust me, this is usually played in D on that instrument. But I met the master a couple of times, and he told me on one of those occasions that in playing a fiddle tune of the guitar, you sometimes have to change the key. But I've always wondered if somebody has ever tried to prove Norman wrong and has worked out a decent arrangement of this tune in D on the guitar.
Great tone. A D18 was always my favorite guitar. I play one from the authentic series, it' s very close to your sound but I guess it needs another 15 years of being played constantly. It' s 1 3/4 inch at the nut I assume?
You are a beautiful player. Thanks for sharing - super inspirational. That mic sounds fantastic I think I might purchase one. If you don't mind me asking what software are you using to sync the audio and the video.
Smoothest flatpicking ever heard !The tone is out of this world🤩
SURROUNDED BY FINE WOOD IN THE WOODS.....GOLD....
This is one of the greatest bluegrass guitarists of our time.
What amazing musicality...! In a world of shredders this guy is a true artist of melody, rhythm and tone!
If ever old Norman departs this planet he will leave big shoes to fill. You my friend are a real contender. Thank you for this.
Appreciate the kind words, but my feet will never be big enough for those North Georgia shoes… ;-)
WE'RE ALL ON THAT LIST MY FRITND, WE JUST NEVER KNOW HOW CLOSE WE ARE TO THE TOP
This is wonderful music, humble, elusive, hypnotic. Thank you Bob.
Your tone, control, and relaxation is second to none. Thank you for sharing!
Having previously liked this, I wish I could press like once more. Melodious flat picking is the best to my ear. Thanks.
Wonderful pickin, Bob. You make that pre-war sing real nice.
This is so serene and calming. You are incredibly talented Mr. Minner. Listening to this brought my stress level way down. Thanks. 💛
There is a particular beauty in everything I’ve heard Bob play. Keep posting these beautiful works of art.
That's our Bob, all the right notes at all the right times!
Absolutely beautiful, and that’s one of the best sounding old Martins I’ve ever heard.
Bob understands that the music he makes is much more than technical skill. He truly imparts a little bit of his soul into everything he plays. Thank you very much, and know that it is greatly appreciated.
Magic's in that right hand...

Iconic instrument solid performance 👍
Wonderful sounding guitar and beautiful flatpicking.
Yes! Yes! Yes! Thanks so much.
So awesome. Makes me want to pick up my guitar and try to play this.
That is so beautiful! Truly inspiring. I’ve always been a D28 man but I recently got an old D18 because of your influence.
Thanks for the kind words and enjoy that old D-18.

Fantastic 👏👏👏
BCTR,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,A tune that always appealed to me. Great job Brother.
Love the sound of that “Martin Box”…It’s as though Norman was looking over your shoulder!!!
Your playing makes me feel like humankind is truely a blessing to this world when we can produce such beauty. Thank you
Excellent !...I've been workin' on your version of Angeline the Baker and started this one...You and Mr.Blake are two of the greatest players to ever walk the earth.
Beautiful! Smooth just like Norman's picking.
Formidable guitariste, avec une guitare formidable, bravo et encore bravo.
fluid and tasteful, lovely tone too....
That was some great picking. I appreciate your style Bob
Lovely. Great playing, I really enjoyed this and wish I had your touch. Great guitar too.
That guitar sounds just like Normans... You do too. Very Well Done.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Perfect.
Beautiful playing again Bob👍
This guy is an unreal musician. Maybe the most underrated flatpicker out there.
well stated rendering..like the baby bear said..'just right'..every note belongs..
Dig it 😎wish I could play in this sweet style.Tapping in time and watching the tabs 👍🏻

Awesome 👍
Great.,..
Wow, you’re amazing
There’s no substitute for age when it comes to acoustic guitar tone.
Qué bonito!
nice,... thanks...👍👍
Let the talent ring ...thru an old steel string
excellent
His heart strings contribute to that tone.
Woah...🔥
Wow nice playing…
Good rendition of the NormanBlake version!

It's typically in D....as a fiddle player might say. Nicely done👍
I love Clapton, Hendrix, SRV, EVH but you can’t beat pickin like this!
These days w. the extreme heat and draught you can almost cross the Rhine by foot. Nice playin' Bob
Wow! So grateful your cousin, Randy, told me about you. Beautiful!!
Randy?

@@shannonbasham4509 yep!

Norman will be proud, I guess.
Sweetest picking I've heard in years. A joy for the ears. Please check out Colin Brown "A Place Called Home" or "The Desert"
I checked you out Mr. Brown, not even worth mentioning compared to this

Dude! Fantastic picking. Smooth, steady and even. Beautiful guitar, but you'd sound good on anything. Mx
all the great compliments listed below x2
Sometimes Bb is just exactly perfect...Nice tone and nice guitar.
Hello, what type/gauge pick do you use? @bob minner
Great tone.
A D18 was always my favorite guitar.

You need to stop by Nazareth with Frankie and play in the museum.
One of the best sounding Martins I've ever heard. Of course when he sets it in the corner, it sounds terrible. How can that be?
