Bob understands that the music he makes is much more than technical skill. He truly imparts a little bit of his soul into everything he plays. Thank you very much, and know that it is greatly appreciated.
Incredibly beautiful. I am busting my butt trying to learn these beautiful picking tunes from the masters. You are included in that pantheon sir. At 73 I may have waited too long to reach such lofty goals, but I am fueling my wrinkled soul with joy while I try. Thank you!
I just discovered Bob because this video was recommended. I should create a night time playlist of his videos because the light, steady, dreamy playing would surely make perfect lullabies.
First time I've seen you... won't be the last. Very clean pickin'. Norman has always been one of my favorites. I've seen him and Nancy several times. He used to come to Huntsville quite often. Keep tickling the strings my friend. I really enjoy it.
Perfect setting and background to compliment the vintage Martin and terrific playing. I wonder if all that wood surrounding you adds to the great tone, like the perfect acoustic studio. Great job and thanks for sharing it. Perfect. 🙏❤️😎
Great picking on a very cool tune. Amazing tone on that old Martin. Our Irish band plays a tune by the same name but it’s a hornpipe and definitely a different melody.
Excellent !...I've been workin' on your version of Angeline the Baker and started this one...You and Mr.Blake are two of the greatest players to ever walk the earth.
Beautiful playing and tone! Thanks for sharing! I love that playing in the pocket with no hurry, and this beautiful tone you pull out of the instrument.
Sounds a lot like Norman, which is the highest compliment I can give any guitar player. But I am a fiddler primarily and trust me, this is usually played in D on that instrument. But I met the master a couple of times, and he told me on one of those occasions that in playing a fiddle tune of the guitar, you sometimes have to change the key. But I've always wondered if somebody has ever tried to prove Norman wrong and has worked out a decent arrangement of this tune in D on the guitar.
My goodness… what treat to listen to. How are you mic’ing this to get such a wonderful sound without any background noise? It is as if Mother Nature herself stopped everything to listen.
@@missouriboy66 I use one too. However, that's where my similarities with you (Bob Miner) begin and end. 🎸That said, I do try and copy your arrangements to impress my friends. lol
I listen to your playing and videos over and over and try to decipher what it is that makes your guitar work so interesting & satisfying. It is clean with great tone, and it is always melody focused with tasteful embellishment, but it has a specific "Je ne sais quoi" that I can't quite pin down. I am leaning toward it simply being your love of the music that exudes in your playing. I believe you could play the single note sheet music for "Shoo Fly" out of Mel Bay's "Learn To Play The Guitar", volume 1, and it would sound incredible. Great playing as usual, & I appreciate & enjoy your videos. 👍

SURROUNDED BY FINE WOOD IN THE WOODS.....GOLD....
This is one of the greatest bluegrass guitarists of our time.
If ever old Norman departs this planet he will leave big shoes to fill. You my friend are a real contender. Thank you for this.
Appreciate the kind words, but my feet will never be big enough for those North Georgia shoes… ;-)
WE'RE ALL ON THAT LIST MY FRITND, WE JUST NEVER KNOW HOW CLOSE WE ARE TO THE TOP
Smoothest flatpicking ever heard !The tone is out of this world🤩
Beautiful picking!!! What a handsome masculine man and a wonderful home also
What amazing musicality...! In a world of shredders this guy is a true artist of melody, rhythm and tone!
This guy is an unreal musician. Maybe the most underrated flatpicker out there.
Those back beat slides keep throwing me off
This is wonderful music, humble, elusive, hypnotic. Thank you Bob.
Your tone, control, and relaxation is second to none. Thank you for sharing!
Now this is for sure amongst the most tasteful flatpicking I ever heard. Such a joy to listen. Thank you!

Nice pickin'! Just changed in the most positive way my whole out look for the day. God bless!
Excellent! I closed my eyes and really expected to see Norman when I opened them. Great job!
Par excellence. There’s nothing like the sound of crosspicking on a vintage Martin. Spot on. Thank you. 🎧
Astonishing. Could listen to it in an endless loop.
Absolutely beautiful, and that’s one of the best sounding old Martins I’ve ever heard.

That is so beautiful! Truly inspiring. I’ve always been a D28 man but I recently got an old D18 because of your influence.

I want to learn how to play like this so bad ugh amazing!
Wonderful sounding guitar and beautiful flatpicking.

Extraordinary..... thanks for sharing!
fluid and tasteful, lovely tone too....
Love the sound of that “Martin Box”…It’s as though Norman was looking over your shoulder!!!
well stated rendering..like the baby bear said..'just right'..every note belongs..
His heart strings contribute to that tone.
So beautiful played Bob ! 👏👏👏
There’s no substitute for age when it comes to acoustic guitar tone.

Lovely. Great playing, I really enjoyed this and wish I had your touch. Great guitar too.

Sweetest picking I've heard in years. A joy for the ears. Please check out Colin Brown "A Place Called Home" or "The Desert"
I checked you out Mr. Brown, not even worth mentioning compared to this
