They for diff purposes, hs4 is true studio monitor, much better for music related work, this is advertised as studio monitor, dont use as one as it is not that flat or revealing
desktop computer speakers the EDIFIER MR4 are on for 135 (Canadian ) 97 ( US ) or the SWAN OS 10's 234 ( Canadian ) 168 ( US ) which do you think is the better set up ? also the EDIFIER 1850DB with sub ? or these the R1700BTS with T5 sub ? i can not decide please help lol thx cheers from Canada
Having seen videos from proper Audiophiles I am convinced you won't get better speakers for a PC for under 400 bucks than the MR4's. Just grabbed some in the UK on offer for £92 and installed them today. They have literally no business sounding this good for this price.
@@jayp25 under 400 bucks is a big stretch blud, you can get into the s series at that price, if you don't care about monitoring accuracy and closeness to source too much, s series will undoubtedly sound better
@@Mcmanue1 hardly, depends what sub you use with the mr4. As a pc speaker I do not see the advantage of the s series. Depends if bass matters much to you i guess.
@@pratikkhadsephotography They are pegged and marketed as Studio speakers... you have the button to switch between monitor mode and music mode and they sound perfectly calibrated in both instances. I stuck puretones - addicted to bass on to test them on delivery and I couldn't stop grinning for about 5 minutes. Having a full sonos arc setup in the next room I find myself enjoying music from these more. Although personally I bought them for gaming. Just a humble opinion but there we have it. I think the Bass and Treble adjustment is spot on and the calibration has been done professionally by a 3rd party, you might wanna pair them with a DAC for productivity work.
what bass and treble settings do you use?
Do they sound better than the Edifier g2000?

Ur excited for drakes snakity snake 🎉

Try the Vanatoo Transparent Zero sometime if you want a low profile setup with plenty of bass and clarity.
u should test out edifier s series if u can sometime
Do you think the Yamaha HS4 is worth the extra money over the MR4?
I havent tried the Yamaha HS4. I have been jamming with these since the kids are off to school and I am very satisfied with these.
