He is improving at phenomenal speed for the last 3 years. He has reached #1 in the world and got 2 grand slams. Whats scary is that he is still improving. His net games and variety in shots selections while maintaining the aggressive baseline games. He will be untouchable mybe in a year.

I think Sinner is so good that he forces his opponents into "overplaying" from the start--they push too hard, go for broke, swing for the lines, because they know that's what they have to do to beat him. This can work for a while but it leads them into making more errors. So with many matches it looks like Sinner is getting a slow start, but in reality his opponents are just pushing too hard, giving it their all. But they can't keep it up. Then Sinner just overpowers them. But he's just playing his usual game the whole time, not getting stressed out, patient, relentless. I didn't say that very well but I guess you know what I mean.
Have you ever seen the Djokovic forehand betwen 2008-2013 ? It was literally unstoppable at the AO Open, French Open and Miami+Indian Wells Masters. Djokovic´s backhand was much weaker back then before 2013 , even tough he was winning alot of matches vs Federer and Nadal , only after he was coached by Becker , his backhand truly became the nuclear weapon it was betwen 2015-2023.
Fritz has been continuously improving in the last few months. I know it' s not consolatory for him and not still enough, but he' s consistently reducing the gap between him and the best players at a faster speed than before

I don't think Carlos has the edge. Both Carlos and Juan Carlos said the three matches this year were as tight as could be - just a couple of points either way would have given different outcomes. No player can "decide" or will himself to win specific points. And there was no sign that Jannik "cracked" against Carlos - just that the pendulum swung Carlos' way at the right times. Don't forget that in both 2022 and 2023, Jannik won their head-to-head. I think they are even. [PS Roger's big problem vs Rafa was that Rafa was the greatest claycourt player of all time and they met *_loads of times_* on clay - Roger was h2h better on every other surface and indoor. But the huge number of clay court meetings destroyed the numbers for him]

There's a lot to like about Fritz' game. He keeps steadily improving and strikes the ball really well. It's tough at the top. He needs some of that Federer magic or that little bit better movement. Mostly, he needs to be able to redirect the ball at will like Carlos and Sinner and the Big 3 before them.

There's a lot to like about Fritz' game. He keeps steadily improving and strikes the ball really well. It's tough at the top. He needs some of that Federer magic or that little bit better movement. Mostly, he needs to be able to redirect the ball at will like Carlos and Sinner and the Big 3 before them.
