Let's do it again! But bigger! Better! Mooooarrr! The Lander 2 is the next iteration of our everyday carry pocket knife with Fast Swap, Open Source scales. It's similar to the Lander 1 with some solid upgrades based on user feedback and ideas. We think of the Lander 2 like Apollo 12. You see, Apollo 11 sent the first humans to the moon. But Apollo 12 was the mission that proved Apollo 11 wasn't a fluke or anomaly. NASA did it smoother the second time, proving consistency and repeatability. That's what the Lander 2 is all about: do it again, but better.

I dont think there is anyone in the industry that has so much goodwill from the whole community.
I think we were all surprised when you left Knife Banter, but you clearly did the right thing for you and everyone is really happy for you.
Ooh, you cheeky minx Ben. I just got the Lander and now I need the Lander 2. Love the idea of the adjustable tension on that spring.
Size, weight, shape, lock and steel... Perfection! I'm in.
WIUG ! I'm stoked! New Model, New Store, New Chances. Never stop enjoying this ride. Best wishes from germany and to the mooooooon
Right on time for the blade show! Keep going?
3 phase electricity?!
Ohhhh yeah baby!!!!! 🤘🏼
Way to go Ben and the Knafs guys!
Congratulations! Enjoy your expansion! We’re all looking forward to your new projects!!
My birthday is 17th of October so the timing is perfect to get my Lander 2! It will be honestly the best birthday present in a decade! Can’t wait!
I love that you keep coming out with so many variations for the likes of different folks, Ben! Congratulations on the next step of you and your family’s life ❤ I will be following you along the way!
Clutch lock Knaf?! Count me in!
Cannot wait for you to make a knife w/o thumb studs...
I'm in let's do this😁
Ben Peterson, congratulations 🎉on the new shop! Ben Peterson's knowledge is indicative of perpetual continued success!
I ordered a Lander 2 Clutch Lock w/ Blue scales. Awesome choice of metallurgy S35VN and a full size pocket knife!
Awesome, glad to see the lander knaf get a make over... The 2 Kizers I own are both Oknife variants and they're excellent knives.
Still waiting on a button lock, sheepsfoot/wharncliffe Banter but the Lander 2 is quite an awesome release in the meantime haha
I love the pitch, "The moon belongs to everyone, just like our Lander." 👍
You seem like a great person who loves their job. You’ve done life well, Ben. Congratulations
I'll buy another knife. But damn you if you paint over Sue Myers' memorialization of her(our) goal to build bigger legs. We all need bigger wheels!
It would be cool if you did warehouse videos
❤The production quality 🆙️👌🏾
So shiny, so chrome!
Hehehe even ben had to have a clutch lock. Backed.
I've been waiting for this SOOO much ! Thanks !!!
Again....a Home Run! 🙂
Congratulations!
As someone who carries a lander in S35VN and a drop bear literally everywhere, I’m BEYOND hyped. I’m in.
Ben I’m so excited for you, this looks amazing. You’re a credit to the industry and I’ll be backing you all the way.
Thanks so much!
Yes! My only gripe against the Lander was its size, just too small to be comfortable in my hands. Can't wait to try the Lander 2!
Let's Back it again, like we did last summer 😬
tomorrow is payday :) that kizer bar lock is probably the best one...
Just backed you. Congratulations! I can’t wait to check it out!
Just got a drop bear and it’s amazing so if you’re doing the lander in the clutch lock I’m certainly interested!! 🎉❤
YES! YES! YES!
I wasn't really sold on the Lander 1 with it having D2, but now with this one being a bit larger of a blade and one of my favorite steels, I may end up supporting the Kickstarter this time around. I have a Banter and it's a solid knife. Keep up the great work Ben!
backlock and sandvik - and I am on.
Congratulations, keep it up
I got onboard with the kickstarter! I also have two original landers. Each has titanium scales from Way of Knife, that I heat colored. Can't wait for the Lander 2. Ben, Keep up the great work!!
So stoked!
Oh boy that's gonna be my next purchase! Maybe make one in D2 as well!
I think I might be in the first 150, very exciting
That looks like an awesome knife!!! Keep pushing the envelope!!!😁👍
Incredible upgrade from the first lander. Congrats on the new knife and new warehouse Ben! Big fan of your work
Me too! I have all the knives so far and can't wait to add this one to the collection too. Ben designs awesome knives.
I couldn’t be happier for you Ben.
Awesome to see the progress. Congratulations.
Love this idea. I've bought 2 landers and can't wait for this one to release. Never participated in a kickstarter before, how does it work if I'm from Australia?
Damn and I just got the sprint run Segeiha Lander!
Best wishes to you and your endeavors.
Just hard work, way to go.
Love your products and congrats on the move! Wishing you guys every success!
I wish you good luck with this project of a bigger lander. It should please many people, with this steel upgrade and still the same easy swappable scales. You've done a great job with the Banter and the Lander I, that are good user knives, easy to carry and awesome ergo depsite the small form factor. Especially the lander with better steel than D2 steel which didn't convinced me (got a M390 urban edc lander).
I’m sure you get this all the time, but I love your work, please make an XXL Lander at some point!!! I’m talkin cold steel big!!!
Ben you da man bro. I think this is the one for me. Keep up the great work knife bro.
I'm glad I held off on getting a Lander until now cuz the Lander 2 is the one I need!
I will definitely be supporting this knife! Thanks for sharing your dream with us!
Now theres a lander i gotta get
I never hit back a project so fast (except maybe the first Lander) ;)
Wow! Thanks for your support!
Me 2 :)
So pumped for this! Nice work Ben, and the rest of your team!
10/10, I'm getting one
Didn't care for the first Lander because it was yet another small D2 liner lock. This 2nd version however, has me really interested! Kizer's clutch lock, S35, AND it's bigger?! I'm for sure backing it!
Love seeing you grow the business!!!!
Now I want a 1 with a crossbar lock
Haha!! That's called the Lander 3!!!! Go get one now!
@@brianforster3498 tbh they made the 3 bigger and it's just not my thing
SO excited for y’all’s success!
I would have predicted a button lock was next, but this is great!
Congrats on the continued success
Definitely getting the lander 2 just wish it had the linch clip screw pattern but overall a solid edc design
Every time I say no more knives Ben or TJ Schwarz releases something.
Sweet looking Dozier with an Axis lock....to be clear I know its your own design but you were clearly influenced by Bob Dozier designs, colors, style etc, and that's a good thing.
Awesome! Fingers crossed for an XL version one day! 3.5 blade 4.5 handle? This one looks great too tho with the neutral handle!
Ben! Looks awesome! Is there a spot for a lanyard? I use them to pull deep carry knives from my pocket easier.
Do you plan on manufacturing future models there? If so is the Lander 2 the first you plan on making in the USA or would it be future models? That would be icing on the cake, would love to be a part of it.
Well this is cool!!!!! 😎 ✌️
S35VN is a sweet steel. Awesome job y'all.
Will you be changing to T8 body screws? Now that you've changed manufacturers.
Also, if I can add some advice. The thumb studs on Lander 1 were a little edged and sharp. If you fidget with knives, it starts to hurt.
I edc the Banter, and those thumb studs are great. Rounded.
This is amazing Ben. I think that the first one that you made was amazing I’ve got all three of them. I just wondering when this one will be coming out to buy. I would like to buy two different ones.
Didn’t find out about the first one until after the kickstarter campaign. I did, however, buy one on your website (liked it so well I bought another for a buddy). Looking forward to the new, larger version…question, will it strike a ferro rod too?
It looks soooo amazing and i can't wait to hold in my hands!
was able to get a 'pre order' at one of the stores here in europe - hope it does ship on the 30th! :D
I can't wait to back it and review it!
Much appreciated!
With the crossbar lock and upgraded steel.. this is closer to your vision for the original Banter.. right?
I think it can change Bugout .
Please think about budget version.
Now that’s neato
Day 2 and the Kickstarter is at 600% as of this comment.
Nice!
Here's to hoping the next iteration is the Lander 2 mini. (Small knife friends, unite!)
Congratulation on your growing business!!! Of course the facillity is going to be paint in Blue... Am I right?
This is awsome? How long will the kickstarter be going for? I’m a teacher and would love to participate, but I definitely live on a month to month basis financially. Soooo hopefully next month!
Thats nice 🤩 Love your stuff! How is about a uk legal version of the lander? That would be a really edc for me ❤
Please Make 🙏 it in TANTO !!!
Wow funded in less then an hour!
100% backing. Are you aiming for the same smoothness of opening like the banter at all? One thing I miss between it and the lander v1
still waiting on the fix blade ;D
Dang, missed the early bird
I'm in.
I like Bugout 535-3
Knafs and Jack wolf are really hurting my wallet. Darn you 😂 will be picking one up for sure. Congrats on the growth
I think it is Fantastic You grew out of the garage . However like you said repeatability this is my issue not just with this looking exactly like the Kizer Drop Bear . All OEMs are guilty of not thinking out of the box . I would like something different not just repeating or a copy of a formula that works . Put All those Great minds together and come up with something Original strictly yours and let others copy you . I am just venting because I am tired of the same ol same ol . Have a Great day Everyone 👊🏼
Where is it made?
Just preordered one, hope It will be a good gift for my birthday on this November
Is preorder sold out?
@@AKhan.28 no, the preorder is still open on bladehq
@@bradustas Thank you! I'm going to put in a preorder idk which color to go for though. Did you go for the blue?
@@AKhan.28 yeah, classic Ben"s Petersen blue 😉👍
@@AKhan.28 by the way, the scales on the handle are easy to change, I'm sure there will be a lot of custom options.
So since it has 3 phase power does that mean y’all are gonna be building knives and machining in the warehous?
These videos are always awesome 👌 when are you going to do a fixed blade camp knife video with zac from zac in the wild on youtube?
SIGN ME THE HELL UP
Ben, did you ever try to switch the clip for lefties and then switch blindcap on the other side? I guess you did not do it ever, because you would notice that the Lander 2 has a lefty construction design mistake ...
Hey there! We appreciate your feedback - but can confirm there was no mistake made. It was a difficult choice, but as we designed the knife there is a slight angle to the butt of the handle. Without this little flourish the knife looked, well, bad honestly. That meant we had 2 choices. 1) Create two unique pocket clip inserts - one for left handed carry and one for right. Or, design the insert so that it can be used for both sides, even if it does have a bit of a weird look to it.
Did we make the right choice? We're not sure, but we think so. More inserts = greater cost = a less affordable product. Plus more instruction, more words on the product inserts, and the list goes on.
Thanks again for your feedback! We appreciate any and all support.
@@knafs_co thanks for the quick response, but honestly since I am working in Electronics manufacturing & distribution since several decades, the pricepoint of this tiny simple inverted part would not have made a big difference on a knife which sells at 165 EUR to end customers ... I do not buy that argument ;) another option would have been to make it slightly thicker and drill in screw sinks on boths sides :) anyhow. I felt this is a strange oversight (design fauxpax :) )on a knife where beside that everything was so well thought out , cheers
👍
