    Would you let us use your car for a challenge?

    Hour and a half times 4 skilled people...stilln6 hours labor of some very skilled people. Amazing...and the moldings were already masked. So how much prep time that was not counted for... you all do amazing work!

      Yup! For PPF its a crazy number but still not an easy task. I would say like 30 min to remove the parts and tape. Another 30-1 hour to clay bar the entire thing. Thank you so much! I want to try it with regular wrap and see how fast we can do it too 💪💪

    OLFA black carbon steel blades are the best for colored PPF. You will need to break the blades really often, but they do a really good job of cutting much easier!

    • @JayTheWrapSpecialist
      @JayTheWrapSpecialist  16 годин тому

      Nice! Ima have to try them out! Ive tried only the regular olfa silver ones. That cutting was the main thing that was making things tough with the film. So if we could solve it, would be awesome 🔥

    What is the difference from a dry ppf install vs a wet install? Is it material dependent? I want to wrap my Cybertruck with Gloss Black PPF

    • @JayTheWrapSpecialist
      @JayTheWrapSpecialist  4 дні тому

      Same thing for both. Dry speeds things up. If you go wet you have to let the edges dry come back a few hours or next day and set the edges. With dry you can set them right away.

    Nice wrapping!
    A question: if a customer sends his Merc G-Wagon to be wrapped with PPF, will you take it? Remember, it is the most difficult car to wrap and the thickest wrap in existence these days.

    How long do these wraps last on the car, and what's the maintenance process?

    • @JayTheWrapSpecialist
      @JayTheWrapSpecialist  7 днів тому

      Most wraps last 3 to 5 years. Paint Protection film which is the next level would last 5-10 years. Regular hand wash is best for these. As long as you keep them clean they last

    • @albertusaswin2012
      @albertusaswin2012 6 днів тому

      And it always comes back to how the car owner treats the car. Better treatment = longer lifetime for rhe wrap before it needs to be rewrapped if necessary.

    What exactly happened to the panel you had to remove? I didn't understand the mistake.

    • @JayTheWrapSpecialist
      @JayTheWrapSpecialist  10 днів тому

      The charger port door thing opened automatically while I was cutting and pushed my cut too far. So then the wrap ended up being short and you could see the original color of the truck.

    What‘s the difference between PPF and other wrap?

    • @JayTheWrapSpecialist
      @JayTheWrapSpecialist  9 днів тому +1

      PPF is thicker like 2-3 times thicker. It self heals from minor scratches and rock chips. Lasts way longer than traditional wraps. The only thing that kind of sucks is that because of its thickness you cant really wrap edges. So many times you cant get full coverage. With a regular wrap you can do full coverage no problem

    This probably last 2-3 years and pay few thousand to take it off when it start peeling off. I can see how you guys make so much money. Cybertruck is the easiest to wrap everything is straight edge compared to other vehicle.

    • @JayTheWrapSpecialist
      @JayTheWrapSpecialist  7 днів тому

      Cybertruck aint too bad. Most other cars for sure take lots of effort. The G wagon for example may seem like a box but its one of the hardest to wrap. Once on there wraps wont peel off. unless you purposely try to do it somehow lol

    • @albertusaswin2012
      @albertusaswin2012 6 днів тому

      Again, it also depends on how the owner treats the car.
