I watched A LOT of cornhole DIY videos before getting to yours, and I can easily say, you are the BEST at giving the most detail, simplifying the work and the tools, and making it look like something my son and his grandfather should be able to accomplish in a day! THANK YOU!
Thanks for checking out the video, Branden! We really appreciate it! Yeah I’ll always show when I screw something up because we all make mistakes! I’m not trying to pretend I’m better than I am 🤣 I’m very very amateur at this stuff
Best cornhole instructional video ever. Thank you for making everything so clear. BTW, I'm an 81 year old mom and have done quite a bit of woodworking in my lifetime. My best one was a firefighters lawn flag holder. .
My daughter is getting married and wants this for the reception. We will be creating a wildflower painting and will make two that match! Great instructions and video!
This is easily an underrated video on this subject. I appreciate your forethought in design and pointing out your mistakes and how you overcame them. This is great. Thanks
great video! a couple thing i did for my set was: 1) I used vinyl sleeves over the carriage bolts to help increase the life of the legs so wood is not rubbing the metal. 2) pocket holes from the bottom to secure the top, this helps keep a uniform playing surface. 3)a bracing piece in the middle to help prevent the bags from bouncing too much.
Easily deserve 300k+ subscribers. Been DIY’ing a year and this was NOT LONG, TO THE POINT and EXPLAINED. Thanks man using this for our camping trip in 48hrs lol
FINALLY!! A completely honest youtube channel about building cornhole boards. I do have a few suggestions though. 1. Put another washer on the leg between the 2x4 and leg itself. It'll make the movement smoother even if the wood swells a little. 2. Instead of your side pieces being so long, make your top & bottom pieces longer. It'll make it look nicer and your end grain won't be sitting on the ground so much.
To get more complex you can add cut outs for handles on the sides and add magnets to the legs and bottom of board so they stay in place when moving them
Bro thanks for sharing seems super simple with your details and approach been wanting to do one of these for awhile now for some family members 🤙 thx again. You have a new follower 🤘
I’d like to see a router used to round out the edges of the plywood, or top board. Also for the 6” hole. I have a 6” hole saw, but sometimes that thing will catch and try to turn my arm into a pretzel.
@@SpencleyDesignCo so, I've got my stain and polyurethane on, but I'm concerned it won't slide so well, without an epoxy coat. Should I add a more slippery top layer?
As I look back on the plywood prices, I would buy 3-4 sheets for the prices shown here. My cheapest plywood price currently is $64/ea. 😭😂 Great video, thanks for sharing!
I will say, in watching your video again I did catch a small error. In the very beginning you say that the project will need "3" 2x4's but in the text (and ultimately you do end up needing) "Four" 2.x4 boards. Just an fyi. Still the best video out there!!!
I like the simplicity of the make, but one thing I would’ve have done is to fill in the sunken screws with wood putty and sanded them smooth. Otherwise, great video. Keep up the good work.

I have made a few of these corn hole games. The only problem I usually have is the legs. The measurement down to the bolt goes in on the leg itself and the side of the board. In the video I do not believe you mentioned that measurement. Great looking products though.
Thanks for checking out the video, Jim! I appreciate your support! I did not specifically mention that detail in the video, however I have full details with all the relevant dimensions on the plans on my website. If there’s a specific one you need help with, let me know 😀
As a person who has some experience woodworking, I am no Bill Ng for sure, there are some beginner mistakes here for sure. These plans are good for a start, but look around before you build. And as a helpful tip, buy lots of clamps. Strap clamp are awesome. And don’t hold your material, clamp it. Again, as a guy who has watched these videos and made the mistakes. You will save yourself money in materials and loss of fingers
They’re the stand 2x4 size. I can’t say I looked up specific regulations for a governing cornhole entity. The only rule we play with is that you have to have a cold beverage 🥤
It seems like 3 @ 96” 2x4’s is not enough for the job. 48x4 takes 2 of them. 4@21” is 84” and 4@13” is 52” which puts it 40” short. Unless you have a special way to stretch that wood. Folks will get the pieces that you said and then wonder why they are short on wood. Just my thoughts brother.
4:00 - "just mark line and you've got perfect 30 degree angle" () 4:21 - "...pieces meet up perfectly" - you keep misusing this word :D 5:39 - having all the skecth draws beforehand you still able to fail with sizes? let's pause for the honest moment - quite inaccurate job done here, nothing to be proud of

With the way you cut your legs i.e. the 13 inch length does the highest point of your board end up at the regulation 12 inches?
Great video, you made it very easy to build. Looking forward to my next project using your videos, thanks. 😎

Yes it’s regulation size
What clear coat do you use over painted and stained boards? Everyone one I've found so far says not to use on paint

how did you measure out the holes for the legs
Hi, Mike! I used a simple rule to measure out the holes to drill for the legs
How far did you measure in inches from the top of the board to make your 3/8 hole on the frame board for the legs?
