I don’t want to be in Internet know it all and I thank you for the patch at the last tradeshow I will be buying some of your product. But, especially that lower left-hand corner if you look at your own video you see where the overcut left a slight notch in the base van metal. There’s a strong potential that that’s where a crack will be in the van as it flexes and the other corners not radiused. Look at your aftermarket suppliers product all of his corners are radius properly to prevent cracking. Do with it what you will…
Great video! Why is this designed with a bracket that gets in the way (at the end of the video)? Why not just design it with the bracket a little bit out of the way? And what benefit or service does that bracket provide? Why is it even needed to be there?
Your employees will thank you if you require hearing protection, ESPECIALLY when using an air saw!!! Sweet upgrade and cannot wait for the 170 version to roll out.
Just finished mine, a few tips. I used RTV to seal the outer ring... otherwise I can't see it not leaking. And the latch on the lock may need to be bent or you cut the inner flange.
The goal is not to waterproof the box. It is for items that moisture won’t affect. Hoses, oils, air pressure gauges. There is a drain hole at the bottom for water to drain out
It appears these are hatches that provide access to pre-existing cavities on the Sprinter. I see the 170 version has two doors. Are there two separate, isolated cavities on the 170?

It’s not intended to be waterproof. It is meant for hoses, fluids, recovery gear etc. It has a drain hole at the bottom of any small amounts of water get in
@@owlvansengineering ok, thanks for the reply. I have already received the one i ordered and installing it now. My other question is what about that small foam insulation strip thats included? In the video looks like its installed on the back plate. Is that correct or should it be on the front plate so there is some cushion between the plate and the sheetmetal?

Install this item as far back as possible. The upper forward corner requires a shorter bolt if this is not done.

I wish I had a small reciprocating saw like that. I've only seen them air powered.
Nice work!❤
Im definitely confused why you wouldn't use butyl tape on the exterior flange or any kind of other sealant.

Any word on delivery? It was on back order when i ordered?
Excellent use of empty space! Is there a plan to make these available for the 170 Sprinter?
Yes, should be available soon
@@owlvansengineering sweeeet!!! Looking forward to getting my hands on a pair for sure!!!
Can this be done on a Ram ProMaster?
😎❗️

They have drain holes from the factory so not water or dust proof. Cavities are separated in the chassis
man u have to paint on the anti-rust paint, not the spray paint, it doesn't prevent the rust... that's so sloppy.
What do customers use that for? To store for example, what?
It is great for anything you don't use inside your van. Fluids, air pressure gauge, recovery gear etc
Do they make these for 148” Transit?
Not currently
Can a good body shop install these? I would rather someone else cut on my van with all the right tools.
Our Offroad locations can install them. Where are you located?

I like the product, not the install. Why can’t you adjust the bracket before shipping? Or adjust the cut-template?
It needs to be adjusted last because it depends on your cut not the bracket.
How is that water proof?
