    What do you do to make sure there are no gas, electrical or sewerage pipes where you drive and screw stakes? Thanks from down under! 👍

      The customer has to get a line locate prior to installation. If they don’t want to get the line locate they will have to pay extra for weights.

    Lee, have you found any hard rain gutters or just those useless material ones everyone has?
    I've been buying ABC Canopies lately because of the velcro strips on the canopies and walls and I'm thinking about maybe making hard vinyl rain gutters that attach to the velcro on the canopies.I can't find them for pop ups anywhere.

    • @ROCKVIDEOMONTHLY
      @ROCKVIDEOMONTHLY 2 роки тому

      Those material gutters aren’t great on their own because they are too flimsy, and end up pooling water somewhere. I managed to have some success though if I put a piece of corrugated pipe that you typically use for a French drain (the accordion kind with the holes drilled in it) in the gutter that material Velcro gutter makes. The rigidness of the pipe holds the shape, and the holes allow the water to channel through it. I had to reinforce it in a few spots because I didn’t think the Velcro would hold, but I managed to get it working though. Just an idea..

      @@ROCKVIDEOMONTHLY Thank you for your reply. So if I understand you correctly you lay the corrugated pipe in the middle of the material rain gutter?

    • @ROCKVIDEOMONTHLY
      @ROCKVIDEOMONTHLY 2 роки тому

      @@gianlucad8003 yeah exactly. Having that rigid tube took care of problem i always ran into; water pooling in one spot, and the weight eventually building up. I forgot to mention this part, but I also tried to tie the gutter so it was slightly lower on the end I wanted it to drain out from (just so it would be slight downhill).
      It takes some experimenting :)

    I am nervous letting customers put up my $400.00 pop ups. Beer factor kicks in then I have damaged equipment.

    • @therentalguy
      @therentalguy  Рік тому

      This is how I see it. Yes they will break, but you will rent wayyy more. Charge a 10% rental protection plan to cover the losses. Any tent that is misused and breaks it’s not covered and the client will have to pay damages anyways. Make sure to get the types of tents that have spare parts so you can just replace a part for minimal cost. Pop up tents should get ROI in 4-5 rentals.
      Once you release the fear it will set you free.
