I don’t know why but I like to watch people pack lunches for their spouses. Mine works about 5 minutes down the road so he just comes home for lunch but it still gives me ideas on what to feed him instead of the same old things.
Have you cked Facebook and churches near you? The ones I go to aren’t “food banks” but basically similar free drive up-get whatever they put in the boxes they load in your car-food mission/ community outreach/ food giveaways/but it’s true not available everywhere-my daughter can’t find one near her so you shops my stockpile when she visits. We have already wondered what will we do when we retire/ move cause we are very blessed with many food pick ups near us. We get random things-some we can’t/ won’t use so we share at work and people always find something they like
My husband is retired now, but when he worked I made him several (usually 3)sandwiches. He always kept chips, snack crackers, and some type of sweet treat in his drawer at work to eat whenever. He would normally eat one sandwich when he got to work while filling out paperwork for the shift. ( He was a shift supervisor on the floor in a carpet mill.) He would eat the other things on the go while working out on the plant floor. He also usually had several apples stashed I. The drawer at work for a quick on the go snack. When we knew that he would actually be able to have a day where he could sit down to eat his lunch, I would pack him leftovers. Unfortunately, that wasn’t very often. Now that he is home, I just fix him whatever he asks for unless I have something specific planned for lunch that day. He is very flexible!when it comes to lunchtime.
My husband is retired now, but he used to love taking leftovers for lunches. (And the occasional sandwich for something different). Nuts for a snack was a favorite too. 😋
Carolina It sure looks cold at your house. Love seeing the children helping with the chickens. Liked seeing your collection of your husband’s lunches. Gives me good ideas. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Love your channel.
I've tried doing my hubby's lunches for him, buuut he doesn't have access to a microwave at work and he says that he's old enough to make his own.😆 He doesn't want me to have to get up if I don't have to, 😂 But he does come in to tell me that he's leaving and kisses me before leaving. Merry Christmas to you and your family!!🎅🤶🎄❤️
Isn't it so wonderful when your hubs loves the white meat and you love the dark, lol? Our household was the same way, it worked out perfectly! Merry Christmas!! 🎄
My husband has access to a microwave and refrigerator at work but...they have about 50-75 maybe 100 workers using 5 microwave's so he doesn't want to wait in line for one. So I send him almost any canned food with a pull tab so he doesn't need a can opener. Beef stew, chili, ravioli, spaghettios. So everyday when he gets home from work I just replace what is missing. His lunch box always contains lots of choices lol. Bag of chips, 1 can of food, 1 chicken or tuna salad and cracker kit from them dollar store, 1 shelf stable yogurt, 1apple sauce with veggies mixed in, beef jerky, soda, granola bar, and I love it because all I have to do is replace what was used.
@@rachaelsupadventures You are welcome! It's kind of like a microwave and a crockpot had a baby then made it portable. You could easily pack up leftovers in a rectangle pyrex dish and lunch would be ready to go. And all of the canned goods you send are easily heated as well. Your husband is a lucky man.
@@kr8477 I am very lucky. He is very attentive 😍Thank you for the idea. I will be ordering one next week and when he goes back to work next year he will have it to take with him to use.
Did you ever make bologna spread. It’s basically tuna salad minus the tuna sub the bologna. It’s really filling and yummy for those of us you love “Oklahoma” round steak.
Everything looked delicious! The croissant bologna sandwich puppet was great! Lol Wow, you really got hit with the vortex storm. I'm surprised the chickens made it. Poor little guys. I'm glad you all made it through the storm.
It is cold here in Washington this morning. We have been experiencing negative temps due to the wind chill factor as well. I think we are finally getting out of that storm though because our high today is suppose to be 23. Which sounds good right now because we haven't been above 13 for days. I think we have a new storm coming in tonight or tomorrow though. This one is suppose top be am ice storm yuck!😢
my husband takes a ham and cheese sandwich, a snack sized bag of chips and granola bars for lunch everyday....lol I'm not being snarky but KETO is pronounced "Key Toe"
At the moment my husband brings a lot of ramen to work. I will typically throw in a fiber one brownie and make sure he gets a bottle full of water to bring with him too.
We are into hummus singles and woven wheat crackers, green salads with vinegar and oil etc. Lately came across fruit infused sparkling water and since most soft drinks have too much sugar its a healthy option. Sometimes carrots or celery and peanut butter. Did you guys can a lot vegetables too? It might be in previous video. .. 😊 Merry Christmas 🎄 ✨
We always make sure to have dill pickles ,onion and bread for the turkey sandwich the day after Thanksgiving We look as much forward to that as we do Thanksgiving.😂❤️
My husband doesn’t have the ability to heat or cool anything at work bc he does traffic control for our electric company. He usually takes a tuna, egg salad or deli sandwich in the winter in a small cooler, a PB&J sandwich for breakfast, and in the summer he takes frozen fruit, hard boiled eggs, corn and black bean salad, pasta salad, or grilled chicken. Always a granola bar of sorts, a piece of fruit and water.
These would heat up so good in the Hot Logic mini. It’s a heated lunchbox. You don’t have to stand in any microwave lines. Just plug it in in the morning and it will heat and hold your lunch whenever you get to eat it.
Your husband is a lucky man & the lunches look delish! I'm a new subscriber & enjoy watching you prepare the FB hauls & cook. I love watching these even though I have never packed my husband a lunch or made him breakfast on a workday morning a day in his life. 😂 I’m lucky if I remember to put my own deodorant on. I have totally been inspired by you to make meals out of what I already have… And before anything goes bad if I haven’t used it to freeze it or make it in someway ASAP! That spinach wrap looks like it needs to be in my lunch. :)

Hi dang your weather looks like ours ! I live in Elkhart IN -4 blowing snowing, been under a blizzard warning for 2 days. No going outside here😵💫. Hey what part of MO are you from? my husband was born in MO. we use to have family in Monett, Carthage, Sarcoxie, Springfield, Rolla, Branson. But everybody has past. Sure enjoy your channel! Hope you and your family has a Blessed and Safe Christmas🎄☃☀.

Do you ever make "ham salad" out of bologna? I utilize the food processor for it. 1 small onion and a pack of bologna pulsed to a crumble, with 4-6 T of sweet relish and about 1/2 c mayo. I usually serve it on hamburger buns. Don't know how, but it became a Christmas Eve lunch tradition in my family. Husband gets two of those, ranch pretzels, cookies, string cheese and two waters today. Oh! And, pretzel kisses. Merry Christmas to you and yours!

I don’t think we have the quality of local food banks here in rural Okla that y’all have. You are truly blessed
