The meal ideas are helpful on a budget. And I like that they are balanced and provide nutrition. From what I have seen you are one of the few mom's on UA-cam that actually cares about her kids and feeds them nutritious meals that are not full of sugar and junk. Thank You for the video and ideas.
With your feelings you can make Hot pockets with it or like a pot pie if you want to like you can also roll out bread put the filling inside the bread then take another bread and put it on top and then seal it with a fork and egg wash it and bake it and you can have other type of little mini pies as well to utilize that feeling
I love your channel and what you stand for. You really are making a difference, and hopefully for those out there that struggle, they'll find you. You are showing that you can feed your family well balanced meals without breaking the bank and that it is okay to utilize food pantry and discount food places, how to grow and can... You are simple a blessing on earth. And your children are so cute and so blessed. You don't need to be fancy, and I love it!!!!
Came across your channel yesterday. I am recently not working right now due to being off on stress leave. You made me feel like it was alright for me to make use of my local food bank. You gave me the courage I needed. I called today (Wednesday), and I have an appointment Friday morning! Thank you so much
I have a couple of pairs for the kitchen. One pair comes apart that I use for meat. I find that scissors work well sometimes better than a knife. As I age, I find that I grab them more often than a knife. They are great for cutting up green onions.
I like to buy the bulk chubs of ground beef. I can some and freeze some. I'm down to 3 pounds of frozen and 3 pints of canned, plus some canned meatballs that I just don't trust.
I have a plaque that says a messy kitchen is a HAPPY home. Just added to my messiness making Mulberry jam, it was only 500gms fruit, it's funny I don't like the berries but the jam is my favourite even more than blackberry or raspberry.
love what you do so creative. The farther in this journey that I come I am hoping to get better at creating my own recipes. You do an awesome job and those kids are very lucky they have you as a momma. Great job Carolina

When I make any of those feelings I like to use a bread dough instead of the crescent rolls especially if we’re going to have them as a meal instead of an appetizer I just roll out the dough into a rectangular shape and cuts strips down the sides and braid them. It definitely makes it more substantial and less expensive

Just found your channel today. You are exactly what I have been looking for on YT! ❤️ Super excited to watch all your videos. 🤓 You are really up there amongst my favorites: Becky and Jamerill. Maybe even better because you are so funny, real and authentic.
My aunt used to make the best lunch. She would make tuna salad but you get it in the can so this easy peezy. Cut buns in half whatever you have. Take the tuna salad and put some each side of the bun. Then a piece of cheese on each half bun. Put them under the briler until the cheese melts and its a little brown on the edges. So good. My aunt, died about a year ago at age 93 but she made these until she was 89 and then went into an assisted living. While I live in KY I grew up in far western ND and my aunt and uncle live in Eastern Mont in a small town of Plentywood. I am headed up there very soon.
That's an old Chef's Pantry recipe. Haven't made it for years. Here's a tip: after you lay down your dough in the wreath shape, press it out a bit with your hands (or your Pampered Chef mini roller!). This will give you more surface area for fillings and make the bottom of the ring thinner and cook more thoroughly.
Great meal ideas and use ups! Your kitchen helper makes me smile. He is such a little hammy. I am on a ridiculous diet. Don’t laugh because it’s horrifying! 5000 plus calories a day. It’s a struggle for me to gain weight even with those calories. I know this video is what you are feeding your kids, but it’s what I am going to start feeling myself. Bacon! Cheese and more cheese! Pasta! Rice! Bread! You mix everything together so nicely and I bet it tastes so delicious. I told my doctor about you and he said I better pay attention because your cooking makes kids grow and it might make me grow too! Thank you for such great content💛💛💛💛
I love this! I always imagine myself making these type of meals fun easy delicious quick and no i cant they refuse but will not bat an eye to the schools pre packaged everything. Seriously.
I hear that. Kids can be so picky. I have to tell one of mine that this is what I made and there isn't anything else. If they point out something else to eat in the fridge that they now is there, I just say that's for another meal you have your food in front of you right now and that's it. Sometimes they eat it, sometimes they go hungry. Sounds mean, but these kids gotta tough up. Hard times are coming and they may have choice in the near future. Gotta go into "mean mom mode". Haha. Just what I do though! I know every kid and household and situation is different!
Great lunch ideas! I would guess that eventually other people would start commenting on lunch videos on what they pack in their hubby's lunch as well, which may also give you and other viewers new ideas too. Great video as always.
Oh my gosh your baby boy is so freaking cute & obviously loves his mommy, oh & that crescent wreath filling you made is incredible in a mini crockpot with some cream & extra cheese for a party chip dip
Kitchen shears are a must! I know my hubby has heard it about taking them out of the kitchen. Lol. One thing I do whenever I bake bacon is chop 4-6 slices, and an onion. I stick that in the freezer and add it to a family size can of green beans. Easy, yummy side. ☺️
My daughter is a mom if two with no help of support for her kid's. She has a job and works hard but can't do it all on her own. Two-day she found she needed new tires so she got three quotes and with all her Bill's and eight paycheck stubs she we to welfare and they gave her a check for $600.00 to Les Schwab for four new tires . I thank they helped her to be safe on the road with her baby's and having away to get to work but they also asked her to get her car looked at if it needs anything they might be able to help with that. It doesn't have time to spoil. I make it for lunch that day. It all pretty much gets eaten right away. I've never had trouble with food going bad because I tasted the food with the same spoon I stired it with.
When making boxed Mac & Cheese I see that they add much less macaroni than they used to so I add elbows no matter what shape the other macaroni is. No-one even seems to notice.

If all people used left overs like you did there would be a lot less waste in the world. Maybe with prices getting so high for food in the world they will start and should watch your channel for great ideas ..My mother and grandmother were great at cooking i was lucky just like your kids are. My kids are all grown up now its only me and the cat i spend more money on her food shes a spoilt wee witch. I have to shop at one shop for her and one for me. I love watching you cook brings back memories Thank you.
I was told today because I was once on my local food banks and don't draw more than a certain amount that I still can go. I'm shocked🤯. I thought all this time I didn't qualify. I'm definitely going to start back going now that I know. I can use all the help I can get on a fixed income.
Can you do a picky eater version of lunch and dinner meals? My kids are so picky and I want to try cooking new things for them that are more nutritious but I’m afraid of wasting my time in the kitchen cooking something nobody will touch.. it’s just me and my 2 Kid’s so if they don’t like what I made then I’m the only one that eats it and I end up having to quickly make something I know they like..
I don't really know what foods to make for a picky eater. Each kid is different with what they like and what they will try. I always have them try the food and if they really don't like it they can have a yogurt or something. But nothing exciting like chicken nugs or anything. I don't make another meal for that one, just something simple they can grab if they don't want what I made. They have to at least try it though, most of the time they end up liking it! Sorry I'm not much help!
My 8 year old WILL NOT eat tuna. I fed him canned Chef Boyardee mac and cheese with tuna when he was a toddler. He called it cat food and spit it out.. To this day, he calls it cat food. I love tuna, tho.. So I eat it, much to his dismay. :)))

You are so welcome!
Aw thank you so much! Sounds like you have one lucky cat! Give her some chin scratches from me!

Thank you! 😊
I was told today because I was once on my local food banks and don't draw more than a certain amount that I still can go. I'm shocked🤯. I thought all this time I didn't qualify. I'm definitely going to start back going now that I know. I can use all the help I can get on a fixed income.
That's great news! I'm happy you found out!

Nicely Done! Very creative.
Thank you so much!
All looks amazing!❤

My 8 year old WILL NOT eat tuna. I fed him canned Chef Boyardee mac and cheese with tuna when he was a toddler. He called it cat food and spit it out.. To this day, he calls it cat food. I love tuna, tho.. So I eat it, much to his dismay. :)))
I wish my kids where this food adventurous
Another great video!!!
