This channel has encouraged me to stop being so wasteful & truly utilizing everything! Cook once eat 3X, even my Dad’s coffee I’ve started refrigerating to heat later. I was inspired to take my elderly neighbor to the food bank, Walmart has compartment food containers, her & I filled them up, froze them, she just heats them up, it’s perfect 🥰 Thank you!

Great tips and encouragement again today! Really helps me function at a higher and more productive level in my kitchen. I canned in the 70s and then got too busy with work and my career. Now I've returned to more holistic living and you really encourage that! We recently lost power four times here, and that no. 10 can would make a great buddy burner to stay warm in an emergency!

Mmm I love almond flavored items! My mom used to have a neighbor that would go to the local church food pantry and it was just a drive up one so you didn’t get to shop. I don’t know if you read these, I don’t do facebook & am on Twitter strike which is sad. So, since my son was a baby Santa couldn’t come until we donated toys & clothes to kids that didn’t have any. He’s 22 now and sent me a picture of his donation pile before Christmas. Everyone still gets toys! I occasionally eat happy meals, just for the toys to stockpile for their stockings. A small lego set & Christmas p.j.’s on Christmas Eve was a tradition that my Mom started. She’s passed so I kept it up. Now my 22 yr old son & 37 yr old brother have to get matching legos or they fight 😝 Silly putty is also in every Easter basket, and yes I have adult siblings who still are babies 😂

The problem with me going to a food bank is when I went, I had to stand at the side and go through the box they gave me and read all the labels. I'm so allergic to so many things like the cilantro, and pineapple and the list goes on, that they had to look for food I could have. I felt so bad because of it. I didn't have a choice though it was either that or go to the hospital. After a while they knew what I could and couldn't have so they had mine ready. Oh people didn't like that I got things they didn't get!! They voiced that very loud!! 🤣🤣🤣 it wasn't much longer I got where I couldn't see to drive. So I've been home since.

Hi. Carmen who uses her daughters youtube due to password issue. Have you thought of making a banana curd? I used to only make "lemom curd" but have found so many other types of curds. They are flavorful and simply delicious. I use it in between cake layers fillings in cupcakes, tarts, on toast, instead of "cinnamon" in cinnamon rolls and center of sandwich cookie, jam thumbprint cookies it can be used in many othe ways. Until next time much love 💖💖

I have God by my side every day and got me out of a horrible situation. I have peace in my life now. I’m not afraid to close my eyes. When he left he took every financial security we had. I battled for three years. At the end I was tired and ready to just move on. I’m free but I had never had to worry about insurance or groceries or how to pay my electric bill. Long story short I’ll take my struggles today over the struggles of 30 years of abuse any day.

It takes courage to do what you have. I am so proud of you. To help you save money use coupons paper as well as digital. Use rebate form and sites. Buy what is on sale when you can and plan your meals around that. I had a good husband and used to coupon he was firefighter. Lost him in 2012. I went from having almost anything l wanted to not being able to work and pay my bills. I am not ashamed to say l to use a food pantry from time to time. I have MS. So at times it is hard to stand in lines waiting. But l get help when l need it. Keep asking around call a few schools, churches and Salvation Army, AARP also can help older people with food as well as other items needed.

@@shirley1824 I worked my entire life until at 37 I had quadruple heart bypass. Caused by a disease I have pcod. Which also causes diabetes, hair loss and low metabolism. I also have a disease that causes growth of cyst on my spinal cord. I live in pain daily. I’m not trying to have a pitty party. My ex husband carried insurance on me after I had open heart surgery and my other diseases I was born with but they get worse as I get older. After the divorce I lost everything as far as insurance, income security. That’s the reason I held on as long as I could. I’m much happier no matter what I deal with now. It’s just scary when you loose your stability but I know longer worry about getting beaten or held at gun point. I can go to bed at night and sleep I have peace and I thank God and my family every day for it. ❤️I’m one of the lucky ones I made it out. Some don’t. 🥲
