The fact that it takes a huge orchestra and all those singers to do this song should be a credit to Enya and her small team for coming up with something so layered, so detailed and fresh that you can't even realistically tackle it without a musical army. Props to them for trying! It's a hard song.

@@CFLsurfrthe idea of the original samples was to reproduce real instruments, maybe that’s why it sounds so good. Or they fooled us and made it all in post 😅

Enya is the master of Layering . Her music was so far ahead of its time. Anolog tape and Reel to Reels. And her voice is so pleasent.

This video just goes to prove the greatness of Enya. It takes an orchestra and a choir to reproduce her work. It is a great cover but I still prefer the original. Keep up the good work Celtic Woman.

Me too! I am 70 & no matter what your age, this song by Celtic Women & their orchestra is pure perfection ( moving me to tears each time!)! Only other song that does that to me is “NEVER ENOUGH”( from movie THE SHOWMAN” & you can watch it on UTUBE, too!)! These two songs touch my soul & heart!❤️

I went to their concert here at “MOHEGAN SUN CASINO IN CT JUST TO HEAR THIS PARTICULAR SONG 🎶 THAT THEY DO!”🎵ALL THE 🎶 SONGS THAT THEY DO, JUST LET ME SAY ARE BEAUTIFUL BUT THIS 🎵 SONG........”SPEAKS TO MY HEART !”❤️ The “CELTIC WOMEN’S”angelic 🎤 voices combining with the orchestra’s beautiful soaring musical notes( love the drama of the drums in particular, coming in at different points to increase the beauty of this song) combine to make me “feel like I am in heaven listening to the angels sing!” Is there any group or sing more beautiful in this world?🤣.... NOT TO ME!!! lol! I have literally listened to this song, watching this video thousands of times at this point & it never gets old to me! The orchestra and percussion are truly doing some very incredible music It's hard to pick up the little things they are doing but my god it really is unbelievably impressive. And the singing... literally the voices of angels.

Magnificent cover :) Recently I learned that the original song by Enya was released in 1988! Back then it sounded magnificent, and she actually performs on playback for artist purposes because all her songs actually use layering and it's kinda difficult to sing live with layers (today vocoders can actually layer multiple pitches of the incoming signal on top of each other so it may not be so difficult now, but back then, it was nearly impossible). Hearing the song actually sung live is top notch!
