Finally a comprehensive video for non wrenchers like myself. Quick question: Did you install the silencers which must be ordered from Werks or are these without the inserts? Sounds great. Is it worth investing in a jack or motorcycle lift?
Thank you for the comments and the questions! Much appreciated. As to the silencers, yes, I ordered and installed the inserts to dampen the sound a little bit, as you mentioned, sounds great. Also, I would recommend at least a jack for this job (and any job really, they are good to have). Just be sure to identify the proper jacking points for the rockets (located in your manual). I love my lift, I use it all the time on all my bikes for simple tasks and in depth ones, plus it's a good place to park one, lol. I alos did a 4 video series on it when purchased if you wanna check that out as well. Hope this helps and thanks again. Ride Safe!
@@NormKohn Thank you! That means a lot. They are great machines and a sheer pleasure to own for sure. Enjoy and I am glad my videos are helpful, that's why I started the channel. Happy Holidays
Do you need to change any software or anything for this mod? And how have you found it since install? I think I want to get it. I’m in the UK too I assume it’ll work fine.
Thanks for the questions. I still have the stock map on it with no issues. If you can have it tuned I am sure it may improve a bit but so far it’s been amazing. Side note, I had this same pipe on my 2020 and it is still working awesome. Ride safe and go for it!
@@justkillnbugz that’s awesome thanks mate. I think I’ll keep mine stock and as a ‘slip on’ so it doesn’t interupt my warranty. I can’t make serious modifications and so it doesn’t affect my insurance. Does this remove the cat converter? I’m also worried about how emissions will be affected.
No worries, yes. The mufflers slip on to the headers without haven’t remove the manifolds. However, this setup also eliminates the additional 30lbs of weight from the catalytic converter. Thanks for the question.
Hello friend, I have been wanting to buy this bike for a long time. But I have some questions on my mind. I want to ask you. Do you have any chronic problems with the bike? What do you think about the shaft drive engine? Is it an advantage or disadvantage? Frankly, I can't go on long trips with a bike that constantly costs maintenance. What are the maintenance costs in general? I would really appreciate it if you could help me with this. :)
Thanks for the questions. In short, I LOVE this bike. In fact, I have purchased one in 2020 and the newer 2023 version as covered in my videos on my site (check them out). There is not one bad thing I can say about the stability and reliability of this machine. If you have wanted one, get one, you will love it. Ride Safe
I have the same bike. Just the R Version instead of the GT. The thing absolutely rocks and it rides like an absolute dream. But it just doesn’t sound very good. Not the OEM exhaust nor any of the aftermarket ones I heard up to now (including this one).
Thanks for the comments. Agreed on those points, but I do love how this exhaust sounds on this bike. I would love more options, but for me, this is the best of what is currently available. Ride safe
It is mostly cosmetic, there is mild airflow on the left side from that stock config, but most exits on the right. Also why I went with the Werkes exhaust, much nicer, cleaner and on one side.
@@HeCoversMe great question. Being I know both bikes well, if I had only the two to choose from, Rocket 3 GT all day long. It’s an amazing bike, without a doubt. Honestly, if put up against just about anything, I would still choose the Rocket. It’s my favorite out of all my bikes.
Competition exhaust might be the best for the Rocket, but it looks like Crap. I don't care how good something performed, or how good it sounds, if it doesn't look good, why bother. I LOOKS LIKE AN AFTERTHOUGHT!!! 😢
@@justkillnbugz Yeah, but am I right or what!?!? I've got the 2022 Triple Black GT, and I'm looking to either catalytic converter delete or full header back exhaust that looks good No one cares about this! If I still had a Crappy Harley, it would be no problem to find a good performance, good looking exhaust.
Interesting take away from the video, but, in CA, it is legal to split lanes. Therefore, most riders run high beams during the day for safety and visibility reasons. Thanks for the comment and ride safe.
@@justkillnbugz sounds very unsafe and very rude. I commuted on the 10 and 405 in LA, split lanes, and never had a problem with someone not seeing me. Add unnecessary to the list, I guess.

Is this what they call a “slip on” exhaust? Trying to learn this stuff.. thanks! I want to do something like this on my Rocket too!

What kind of seat do you have on the bike? Is that a corbin fast back?
Thanks for the question, here is the video I did on the seat: ua-cam.com/video/cmlepLow8QQ/v-deo.html

What’s the deal with the third pipe on the shifter side? Is that affecting the tone at all?
