OMG Michele and John. This adventure was awesome! Beautiful shells. You were just in heaven with your giddiness! Love it!! That big cone, wow!! Way to go John! And that Junonia, not perfect but it's a "J". I get happy when I just find pieces! Im on my second time watching this. Made my day for sure. Love your happiness, it's contagious!!!
@@echouebijoux In case you don't have enough on your plate 😉, other shells that make my head itch are: drills vs ribbed cantharus and the different tellins. Your joy at the beach is so infectious - thank you for sharing!
So so big !! Wow. 🎉this is great sharing shelling in the dark. I’ve never done it either. Great fun and even I got so excited to find the surprises. Thankyou for getting up so early and sharing. You are such a delight to listen too. Your neighbors must adore you! Very enjoyable morning. The little mini octopus are precious. Happy you take the time to care for them.
thank you so much! its such a fun adventure in the dark because it takes a place that you know well and makes it new to you all over again lol we had such a good time that morning!
Woohoo great shelling! The Junonia - Any juniona is perfect. Pieces are always precious. And that whelk with the orange on the tip FABULOUS! And that mermaid's purse - way cool! With your talent, that not so perfect Junonia will make great jewelry. Been to PAG once but never during a shellapalooza like THAT - jealous! 😉 Loved all your finds what a great variety - my daughter and I kept yelling at the tv, wait wait you missed... hahaha 😂 and you are right, Dickman's is great, one of my favs go there every chance I get. Thanks for taking us along!!
lol.... as I was editing the footage I kept seeing all the stuff i missed too lol!!! made me crazy! but when you are there in the moment its easy to get "Shell shock" - soooo much to look at its just overwhelming - its amazing there at Pass a Grille and bulk shells like that happen there often especially in the winter. It's an amazing spot!
im still in mourning that that monster huge one that could not be kept lol.... buy boy it sure gives a great sense of size for the critters when i show you guys the operculums still attached to the live animal lol!
How fun was that! I want to go night shelling so bad! I have what I need, just waiting for a low tide at the right time 😂 thank you for the awesome video!
If you are in FL it may be easy to catch now that the clock did the spring ahead thing :D Its fantastic fun, and I really recommend it --- just be sure you know the beach and conditions you pick for that very well! Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed it!!
So I am from Texas. Year before last we went to Florida. I knew it was going to be cold. So I brought my mud boots. My friend was very jealous because I could get in the water to find shells without getting wet.
i can't believe this is my first pair - i love those crazy boots! Made all the difference staying warm and dry, truly. I would recommend them highly :D
Jeez, they must have just added that, i have never seen my vids display that way before... THEATRE MODE in case anyone else wants to give it a try! thats actually really cool, i like it too!~
Tried to edit my other comment, not happening. I have a crappy phone. My favorite part of this was "John, John come here now! That horse conch was AMAZING"
I don't know where you are, but I wish I could come down there and go with you. I love shelling but never find anything really good... Thank you for letting me watch. Happy shelling!!!
I am in the central gulf coast area of FL between tampa and sarasota :D Pass a Grille is located in St Petersburg area, just a short drive away :D we are very blessed here to have such awesome spots to go shelling around here
@@dalegruder2363 you didn't miss us by much - we were down by the rocks until about 9 am then we headed out :D we stayed down by the rock jetty and then we wanted to go eat at Paradise Grill but it was slammed parking wise down there from like 9 am on so we ended up taking off lol
My daughter promised she would take me shelling in July! My physical therapist says I can do it.I live in Southern California so I heard there are California Frog shells at Carlsbad , south of Oceanside.
Oh that's wonderful!!! Get out there Donna! YAY!! this is at pass a grille down at the rocks from earlier in the spring :D until the dredge project started it was a super shell hot spot - at the moment tho here is a dredge line over there and shelling is a little goofed up over there right now. that, plus the tide cycle and no storms has slowed things a little ;) i have a couple updates on the channel about it and am doing another one today, i was there yesterday
