    Thank you for sharing all the updates and also for the footage of the dredging. My husband and I lived in St Petersburg for a little over a year and PAG was my go-to beach to get away from everything and it became very special to me . We moved back home to Ohio I in April and I miss it a lot! I am so appreciative of you! You inspire me! ❤

      Oh thank you so much! I am glad you are enjoying the channel - and I am also really surprised to see that so many folks are interested in the dredging project! I am heading back up tomorrow to see if they are pumping that sand yet - i am sure people will want to see that part! I have seen it at Longboat Key and it's very impressive, to be sure!
      i am glad my videos can bring you back to FLs beaches, even if it is only for an hour or so at a time :)

    Another super great video! Thanks so much! I'm trying to teach myself about the shells but I don't think I'll ever have your amount of knowledge...lol. And we definitely need rain! It's supposed to be come next week. We'll see...lol

    Great info Michelle. You so smart!!!! Really interesting with all the dredging facts. I have only seen one renourushment and that was Edisto Beach, SC years ago. It was amazing to be there through a whole week of it. I wish they had piled up dumptruck loads of shells like they did on the east coast Palm Beach area. That was awesome to watch and the shells were beautiful! Thanks for an informative and fun adventure. By the way I love your hair. BEAUTIFUL!! Wish I had just half that much:, lol.

      Thank you so much! This renourish may not bring a ton of shells, cuz of where the sand is coming from. but the second phase is gonna be a lil deeper waters - so that might be interesting for a while! Stay tuned, i am going back up to see if i can get footage of them pumping sand...and thanks! i dont show my hair much, i usually have a hat on lol - :D

      @@wandadorsey8895 boy that was harder than i thought to get information.. i do know there is a place right across the street from Islands end resort that has 8 units, and saw 4 other signs for rentals but they are all with different companies
      the best bet might be checking booking.com or Air BnB or google searching vacation rentals in Pass a Grille... i though maybe there would be 1 main property management company but there are a lot from the looks of it!

      welllllll.... if they get their approvals for phase 2, it is almost 10 times as much sand to be moved. It may be going on for quite some time. however, once THIS phase is over i should think the rocks area will be better because i can't see them going all the way around the bottom of the point get to areas above the paradise grille with sand coming from pass a grille channel... but i am not certain. since the approvals aren't acquired yet, they may not START phase 2 when phase 1 is complete.... so i will be keeping on top of this and making updates as i can. I would like to see some sand moving too so i am planning to head back up there again soon to see if we can get some of that - its fun to see it!

      @echouebijoux The point/rocks area is my favorite place to shell and hang out. I've been lucky to see dolphins playing 15 feet from shore, a man catch a 5 foot fish, and a curious octopus coming to give my croc a little hug and hang out with me for a bit just from a few day visits. I would love to stay over in pass a grille and just have a relaxing stay cation. Have you tried any of the little motels or rentals? I always pass the big pink castle hotel but that's not the vibe I'm looking for.

      @@miss_lilyanne i know - that's my fav spot too and im a lil bummed that things are wonky with the dredge pipe there.... but to be fair, i have found some straight awesome stuff north of paradise grill too... lil baby murexes and fighting conchs, and a couple of speckled tellings, which are pretty rare finds - just to name a few! So this phase isn't gonna mess things up nearly as much as phase 2 will IF they get the permissions fro the army corps of engineers to get that going..
      i have not stayed anywhere there but there's lots of lil rental places and was a bunch of signs for rentals out when we were there monday - then again im only over the skyway away so its only like 30 or 40 minute drive to get there so i dont really need to stay there lol!
      islands end resort is cute... dont know how full or booked they are but they are right on the water too. and there's a number of houses and apartments for rent as well. i will be heading back up there to see the dredgers pumping sand so i will take a peek and see what other spots are available and try to find out a lil bit more.

    Looks like there was some seaweed washed up, more than normal?

    • @echouebijoux
      @echouebijoux  6 місяців тому

      there was-- but i can't say if its from the dredge guys - i have seen mountains of seaweed on that stretch of beach many times in the past with no one working in that area so....?? usually its after a storm tho and we haven't really had any lately - been nice and quiet after that barn burner of a winter we had
