man, when i hear that bgm melody again it just brings back the flood of emotions that was the clannad experience. it's truly unique, and i certainly would not classify the series as a plain tear jerker. there's just something so special about the way it's brought together
Even though I still have mixed feelings about this ending,I do have appreciation for it’s thematic value. The whole notion of understand the meaning of life and understanding that there's more to life than what it seems is a great message to end clannad on. Your videos on clannad have really helped me gain a lot more appreciation about it and your passion for it is very inspiring.
@12:53 "Remember when I told you to pick Kyou to be on your basketball team, like, seven times?" Joke's on you - I picked her without you telling me to, so WHO'S LAUGHING NOW? ...not me because "Clannad" is sad.
Clannad and Clannad After Story will always be one anime that I hold dear to my heart. Back when I watched it I was just starting middle school and was that weird kid. On top of my parents getting a divorce and both of them playing my sister and I against the other was not great. And the only parental figure I had left was my grandfather who died of cancer later on. Seeing Tomoya, someone who had a messed up relationship with his father and was depressed for a long time related to me on a personal level. But he eventually finds happiness in the people he meets and the life he lives. And i thought “if he can find that spark in life, so can I”.
Omg thank you for making this summary/essay. I am so sick and tired of the fact, that the entire discourse surrounding clannad for years has always just been "it's the one that makes you cry". When this series has so much more to tell and has so many diffrent deeper themes, that are worthy of discussion imo. Like the question if hapiness in life is worth striving for if happiness is only a temporary state and also requires the experience of sadness to appreciate it. How it defines family as a ground pillar you can fall back on in said struggle and concludes that by sharing love and kindness we as humans can become sort of like "a big family" and can make this world a happier place for everyone by standing in solidarity. Most people seem to shy away to analyze clannad under a more philosophical scope, because it's "just an anime/vn". My guess is, that they are afraid of being ridiculed for "reading to much into it" which you also seemed to fear by some of your comments during the end of the video. But why can't we talk about clannad and the meaning of life? Expression of philosophical ideas and beliefs don't always require 1000+ page books written by some white dudes in the 20th century to be taken seriously imo. Sorry for the long ass comment, but I just think clannad has so much more depth than people give it credit for and I would love for people to further analyse it's themes.

Good job and a great final video for the VN brother, the amount of love and dedication this story and these characters inspire in people is nothing short of amazing, and you've done such an awesome job of conveying and sharing that with so many people through these videos. Congratulations on graduating and have a great day my man, you've earned it!
I’m a year and change late, but it’s been over a decade since I properly engaged with Clannad and this video series has reminded me just how massive an impression it once made on me, like reopening an old wound. Ironically I’m now jonsing to rewatch the series while also fighting with the impulse to keep avoiding it, because it reminds me too palpably of a bygone period of my life. Watching you go through these stories has been revelatory for me in a way UA-cam videos aren’t often. Thank you for that.
Only discovered your channel recently but I’ve been binging all your Clannad analyses and they are amazing ! Thank you for creating this series and congratulations on your graduation :)
I love how After Story basically confirms that Fuko's route will eventually solve itself no matter what route you decide to do (except if you mess up Fuko's route lmao)
Man... thank you so much for this series, It felt like watching calnnad all over again, I cried, I laughed and cried again and again. I truly wish the best for your future my mans :)
At 9:45, the hugging scene in the toilet, I always prefer to see it as Tomoya thinking back to all the times Ushio had to cry alone, meaning that first hug they share means a lot more, since he wants to make up for those 5 years of loneliness. Clannad still is my favorite story/series of all time. Not only was I in shock and disbelief throughout the last 1/3 of AS, because I genuinely didn't think ep. 16 would happen back then, but after finishing it, I had the biggest void in my life. I think I was without appetite for a weak. Playing the VN to 100% helped, since I got to know even more about this story and characters, and made me realize that, to fully appreciate the message and themes of Clannad, one needs to play the VN. Since the True End is achieved through gameplay mechanics, the anime adaptation had to make it work in a different way, which is why some people get turned off by the anime ending (both seasons of the anime are great adaptations anyway). Great job on all these videos! Although I want to say to keep them coming, I don't even know if there's even anything else to talk about at this point...
That's a nice interpretation, and I agree. The VN is a must if you want the most out of this story. Also thank you! There might not be much juice to squeeze out of Clannad anymore, but I've got ideas on where to pivot from here
As always, a really great video. Clannad is such a beautiful story, and I think there are very few things that reach its level. I'm glad it means so much to you, it means a lot to me, too. I appreciate that youve taken so much time to share with us what Clannad means to you, and why it's perfect for you. This has been a great journey, and I'm glad i could be here for it. Additionally, congrats on graduating!
no better way to shed some tears LMAO. congrats on graduating as I will also be in the same situation soon, enjoyed watching this series these past two weeks
Naoyuki going home and the sunflower field hits me the hardest every time. The credits also hit me extremely hard. 100 hours of crazy emotions all leading up to it. Finished it last month and i still feel empty 😔
God I loved this series, idk how many times I’ve rewatched them all. Now I feel like I can jump in and watch again from the beginning, just like the show and visual novel. You’ve broke down this series like no other. And using the Bgm in the background was foul play, it takes too much to get tears out of me. Keep up the good work and congrats on the graduation! Looking forward to what’s next.
Dude you have to stop making me cry all the time 😭😭😭 Clannad is the best thing I’ve ever watched/read and it’s been such a ride going through it all once more with you. You’re awesome. ❤
Owning that one frame of Tomoya on the train would allow me to die happy lmao. Whether this'll really be your last upload in a while, Clannad or otherwise, I just wanted to say thanks for your vids my guy. Discovering your channel was absolutely magical as a diehard Clannad fan who couldn't put why I loved it so much into words like you could, especially when I lack the talent and personality. If the dango family had a hierarchy, you'd probably be a ...really big dango or something.
No need to beat yourself up, but I'm glad you enjoyed the videos. There will be a filler compilation video of all the Clannad ones uploaded in between the next major video to give me time to put it together and figure out my new setup, but other than that the train will keep chugging over here
Thank you for taking me through this incredible story. I went into this series knowing next to nothing about it, and coming away from it having a deep respect and appreciation for a lot of the things it does as a story and vn. I so would've picked this game up to play for myself after watching the second video and unexpectedly sobbing while on my way to a class, but I have too much going on to justify sinking the time into another new game right now. Maybe one day I'll play this game just to truly experience it, but still, I found that you did an excellent job at telling the story piece by piece so that I could still give it a chance instead of letting it sink into the back of my mind to possibly be forgotten along with a list of several other games I want to "get around to at some point"
Thank you, I’m glad you think I did it some form of justice! I hope that when you have the time you give it a go, even with how long I talked about it I still missed a lot of great stuff. It more than deserves to be experienced in full. Hopefully it doesn’t sink too far into the back of your mind lol
Thanks for all the hard work you put into these man. I'll undoubtedly be running through them again whenever this show enters my head... which let's be real, it's a lot lol. And congrats on graduation and good luck with everything!
man I cannot believe this video, about a visual novel I never even played. made me have tears in my eyes all these videos you made are exceptionally wonderful. good series man congrats
Man, what a great series of videos, your last two videos made me cry as if I was watching clannad again lol, thank you for making this videos! You made me appreciate Clannad even more, I rewatched it recently and got to understand a lot I didn;t get while watching it 15 years ago. Clannad has been one of my favorite anime all these years, but I watched it as a 15 year old, I didn't really get all the messages beyond that doing good things brings you good things, now as an adult I can relate so much more with it and I think more than ever Clannad is one of my favorite stories of all time. You're absolutely right, Clannad is perfect(At least for us) lol Congrats on your graduation! I hope everything goes well for you!
The end of After Story is the height of happy crying, followed by massive Post Clannad-Depression. I also can't listen to Palm of a Tiny Hand without weeping like a bitch.
I don't even remember your channel name, i only remember you as " the clannad guy" or something like that. I just watch the anime last month and i love it so much, Tomoya is one of my favorite main character, every character development is so good, every time i see one of the main cast i just smile. I love every single character in the show. And i thanks myself for discover your channel, your humor and edit style really suit me. And you bring me a different side of clannad i never see before. Thanks for your amazing series and maybe clannad is also perfect(at least for me:))))
Happy Dango Day Totaraum! I hope you had a great 2023 and have a better 2024. I know you'll blow up eventually, your videos are fantastic. Keep grinding man! (Dango Day is a silly holiday I've made up that takes place on Christmas Eve, the same day as Nagisa's birthday, to celebrate family and friends. Mainly for people, like me, who don't celebrate Christmas proper but feel "Happy Holidays" is too generic.)
27:49 yeaaaaaa, idk how to convince people to watch this show, i always say 'watch it its amazing' trying not to give away how it really does help give that kind of meaning, ive told people 'never before have i seen any media tell a story anything like clannad' but apparently thats not good enough. they always say 'i heard its too sad' like stfu it is, just watch it. 30:00 oh congratulations on graduation thanks for the series, was a favorite
Thanks for letting us share this journey with you! It's been a joy watching as you've released each part, and I'm not ashamed to say this last one made me tear up. All the best for the future 😊
What a series. Can't belive it's almost been a year. Congratulations on graduating and talking more about a visual novel than I ever thought possible. Mr. Cat and I are still cheering you on from our bench so go get em.
I really am glad to watch this series to the end and reliving through Clannad's story through your videos, considering despite enjoying visual novels Clannad is one that is too long for how busy my life has gotten to at this point, so seeing the original source (since I've only watched the anime) this way has indeed been incredibly fun as well as just heartwarming. After all, I consider Clannad to be one of the best stories. A story is meant to teach us some kind of a lesson in life through it's characters and storytelling, but Clannad tackled the biggest lesson of all: how to live life. And I think it did so magnificently through all it's symbolisms and wonderful characters I've been wanting to write my own story and has sort of been working on it, and it's no easy feat at all, so seeing Clannad being able to convey so many beautiful tales that ultimately end in bittersweet happiness most definitely brings me to tears of joy. I wonder if I'll be able to write such an amazing story like that one day too, but for the time being, goodbye Clannad. Thank you for all the beautiful heartbreaks and tears of joy you've brought me, not so dissimilar to life after all. And I'll be excited to see where you go next, Totaraum! ^^
I'm glad you got to experience the visual novel in some way too! Best of luck with your story, I'll bet it's a ton of work but that's what makes it rewarding. I'm excited for what's next too!
Sad to see an amazing series come to an end, but damn you did a phenomenal job covering this masterpiece of a visual novel. Loved your naration and showed me that there are people out there who ACTUALLY understands this life altering story and characters like I do. It's as you said, there will never be a story that comes close to this (aside from other key works) which has taught me so much in my dark time and in happiness. I'm forever in debt to Maeda sensei, Orito sensei, Hinoue San and rest of the team at Visual arts for this. It'll be interesting if you ever decide to cover other key works this way or anything similar to this. (Bonus points for using Yakuza clips)
I never had a problem getting Kyou to be Ushio's kindergarten teacher, even with picking Tomoyo as my basketball partner, because before that I picked asking her sister Ryou when it came to asking for help on reforming the drama club, which led to that joke (done slightly different in the anime) where Ryou misunderstands Nagisa til the end.
I did very "all or nothing" playthroughs where I didn't talk to characters who I didn't need to talk to in order to progress. This meant ignoring Kyou when I used Tomoyo to do basketball lol
i never thought i would feel that same feeling of what now after a good anime ending for a youtube series. This 11 month journey you worked on and took us on has been simply fantastic, as i and many other people have stated you have done this story so much justice. just as i re watch clannad from time to time you can bet i will be watching clannad is perfect for me every once in awhile, i even already started showing one of my friends your clannad videos to try and re hock him back into clannad lol if i have trouble thinking on how to get people to watch clannad or explain a deeper meaning even if they do watch it i will just refer them to you cause you articulate yourself really well and still make people laugh with the comedy in the scrip. ALSO! Congratulations on graduating!! good luck on your long, long upward climb, concur that hill.
You got a light orb for making this series. It's so nice to see you gave this story the coverage it deserves. Thank you! Oh, and i have to ask. Will you by any chance cover Kanon (2006) sometimes in the future? I'd be happy to hear your thoughts about it in detail.
Thank you for watching! Also most likely not, I'll be trying to pivot out of the niche little corner I've made for myself now that Clannad is over, so we'll see how that goes lol. Kanon 2006 is great, though. Who knows, I might find myself talking about it in depth some day
Congratulations on graduating and finishing another chapter of what I hope will be a long book of your life. Life is a ride, and with ups and downs, you are ougth to just enjoy it. Having said that, I love your videos man. Keep the hard work, and you will be alright no matter what life may bring.
Whew, now that was a ride and a half! Thank you so match for making this series, I'm ever so glad that I got to find someone to take me again on this wonderful journey Clannad has been for me ever since I started reading it. Not to mention that I could finally hear takes and opinions on this masterpiece from someone other than myself. Just like with the visual novel I'll now be mildly bothered that it's all done and finished, and I won't be able to experience it the same again even if I give it a rewatch or a reread. Nonetheless, I'm really happy I could have been here! Again, thank you so much and keep up the great work!
Congrats on your graduation from college! I hope your degree at least somewhat ties into your amazing scriptwriting because your video commentaries are quite phenomenal. Even tho Clannad doesn't hit as hard to home for me its hard to not view it as a form of masterpiece.
Clannad is so good, no two ways about it. This will forever be, in my opinion, the greatest story ever written by man, thank you for reminding me just how great it is. Now time to rewatch it again, something tells me that after five viewings, and a reading of the VN, this story will still do something new! Thank you Jun Maeda, and thank you Tota! Ps. Congrats on the graduation!
Ive read hundreds of books seens hundreds of film played and listned to thousands of songs yet clannad is reslly the only thing that has made me feel at one with the world. I wonder what inspired the visual novel. Theres nothing like it Also the voice actors are next level, i couldnt imagine how emotionally loaded those performances must of been. Theres times where i consider clannad a perfect piece of media. I think im ready to rewafch it
Totaraum you can't fool me, the existence of clannad was all your idea to make us buy your patreon but guess what, I'm not gonna fall for that Alright but jokes aside, you made me appreciate this anime way more, I'm totally gonna rewatch and even buy and play the $50 visual novel, but this time not as a sad school slice of live anime, but as a valuable lesson of life that I will try not to forget Thank you for giving me this whole new perspective and for bringing all these memories back while also making me laugh, I hope the best for you
Thanks for all the work you put in this series. Clannad is my absolute favorite story and I'm glad there is someone trying to bring more attention to this wonderful story so many years after its release. Your videos gave me a deeper appreciation for the story and I had a lot of fun watching them. I'll be looking forward to what you do next! Congrats on graduating by the way, I'm also graduating later this year!!
Hello Tota! Since your last upload I've started the visual novel and am almost done with every route before After Story. I plan to finish the game and then rewatch your series on it when I'm done. I'm also gonna save this video for after I've finished it all. Can't wait to experience the emotional rollercoaster that is After Story all over again... You better take responsibility for what's about to happen to my psyche since I probably wouldn't have tried to play the VN, had I not stumbled upon your channel!
I'm going to miss you talking about Clannad but just like the show and the VN, it does have to end eventually (unless you have something you didn't explore yet but I'm guessing that isn't the case.)
You're definitely the Clannad channel for me. Always great to see a new video from you. Have you considered doing a piece on Fruits Basket? I don't see much stuff about it on UA-cam, which is a shame because I think that series is ripe for thorough analysis.
Thanks! I watched Fruits Basket back when season 3 was airing, and I definitely need to rewatch because I don't remember much about it. Maybe read the manga idk
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭That is all.
I know people comment this all the time to the point that it's cliché But i genuinely, sincerely, and legitimately believe it's a crime that your channel isn't rocking at least 100K subs.
They do, but in the VN that only happens when you do Fuko's arc. Since After Story only takes place after doing Nagisa's route the wedding was just put off for 7 more years
Oh. The end, for a second there I was wondering if he was gonna go to infinity, going on and on about this series. Like I get it, good story. But damn I didn't expect there to be I don't know, alot to talk about? Be it a summary or a full blown analysis, it's kind of insane to me man. Nonetheless congratulations and good luck to your future endeavours
Thanks! I did squeeze as much juice as possible out of this story, and might have one last video up my sleeve before I move on, but I can't keep talking about it forever
Tota, thank You very much! Are You going to post a review on Tomoyo After in the near future? PS The main menu music after obtaining 13 orbs got me goosebumps (the orbs were somehow 'singing' on their own way).
During covid i started playing clannad to get some social connection even if artifical, i played kotomis route and then themain nagisa one then watched the animie the next year at Christmas time. I dont have time to do every route so i searched for a playthrough to watch on the way to uni and found your vids. Gotta say you let me experience the whole story in a way i couldnt imagine being able to before. Thank you, ill be graduateing next year so the end resunates with me too. Do you have any plans to keep the channel going? Or is this a video essay sendoff? Thanks again, these always play as background noise when im gameing lol.
I also got into it because of covid lol, that's pretty cool. The channel will continue as normal, hopefully better than ever with the changes I'm making

this video is so well put together its genuinely a shame clannad isnt as popular as it used to be
Right now I was like "holy shit, Clannad is older than me?!"
But then I realized, nope Clannad is as old as me.
And now I feel old.
Every time I think 2004 wasn't that long ago I remember I hadn't even started school yet lol. I feel that

May we all, who loves Clannad can take it's message at heart and grow as people. Thank you for making this wonderful video series.
Hell yeah, thank you!

I'm glad to hear that! I think the ending is a little weird too, but it's so thematically perfect I can't find an excuse to care
🥲 it's because its clannad that a video essay can make me cry
Good job man

She's 200% on the protect meter.

also, its been several years, and the train scene still completely and utterly destroys me, even just at mention of it

Thank you!
Great to see this series come to an end. It will be nice to come back and watch it all when I finally finish the VN in 5 years.
you'll get there eventually
I don't think I could watch clannad again, it would probably break me all over again
It's not going anywhere, you can wait on it if you have to
no better way to shed some tears LMAO. congrats on graduating as I will also be in the same situation soon, enjoyed watching this series these past two weeks
glad you liked it, and thank you! Early congrats on your own graduation
Just finished this series today. It was amazing. It's been awhile since something has touched me emotionally like this.
clannad will live on forever. thank you for all ur efforts into making this type of content!
Hell yeah, and thank you for watching!
Once you said : "Go ahead, start crying" I just broke and tears starting coming out of my eyes, I needed that. Thank you so much.
Naoyuki going home and the sunflower field hits me the hardest every time.
The credits also hit me extremely hard. 100 hours of crazy emotions all leading up to it. Finished it last month and i still feel empty 😔
also, Akio's route is one of my favourite routes in the entire novel
hell yeah, and don't worry, it passes eventually
God I loved this series, idk how many times I’ve rewatched them all. Now I feel like I can jump in and watch again from the beginning, just like the show and visual novel. You’ve broke down this series like no other. And using the Bgm in the background was foul play, it takes too much to get tears out of me. Keep up the good work and congrats on the graduation! Looking forward to what’s next.
Glad that you enjoyed them so much! I'm looking forward to what's next too
Dude you have to stop making me cry all the time 😭😭😭
Clannad is the best thing I’ve ever watched/read and it’s been such a ride going through it all once more with you. You’re awesome. ❤
Thank you!
ur whole journey about clannad is a story itself. ur passion for this series is inexplicable. love u brother.
Thank you!
There will be a filler compilation video of all the Clannad ones uploaded in between the next major video to give me time to put it together and figure out my new setup, but other than that the train will keep chugging over here
The clannad series is in my top 10 favorite anime of all time
hell yeah

Thank you!
man I cannot believe this video, about a visual novel I never even played. made me have tears in my eyes
all these videos you made are exceptionally wonderful. good series man congrats
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it
Thanks for making me cry with your review.
You're absolutely right, Clannad is perfect(At least for us) lol
Congrats on your graduation! I hope everything goes well for you!
I'm glad you enjoyed them, also thank you! It's great that you can appreciate more and more of it as you get older
The end of After Story is the height of happy crying, followed by massive Post Clannad-Depression.
I also can't listen to Palm of a Tiny Hand without weeping like a bitch.
I totally understand
I don't even remember your channel name, i only remember you as " the clannad guy" or something like that. I just watch the anime last month and i love it so much, Tomoya is one of my favorite main character, every character development is so good, every time i see one of the main cast i just smile. I love every single character in the show. And i thanks myself for discover your channel, your humor and edit style really suit me. And you bring me a different side of clannad i never see before. Thanks for your amazing series and maybe clannad is also perfect(at least for me:))))
Glad to hear it, thanks for watching!
Thank you for exploring a story I love so throughly 😭😭
No problem, thank you for watching!
Thank you, I appreciate it! Happy Dango Day to you as well
Thank you for these, its been amazing following along and gaining an even deeper appreciation for this amazing story❤️
And thank you for watching! I'm glad you enjoyed it
It has been a journey, thank you for making this series❤
Thank you for watching it!
30:00 oh congratulations on graduation
thanks for the series, was a favorite
Also idk y I didn't say this earlier but thank u so much for explaining the metaphor for palm of a tiny hand
Just keep pestering until they cave in, that's what I always do lol. Also thanks!
Thanks for letting us share this journey with you! It's been a joy watching as you've released each part, and I'm not ashamed to say this last one made me tear up. All the best for the future 😊
Thanks as always! I’m glad you liked it
I cried the entirety of this video mannn thank you so much
Thanks algorithm for just now feeding me this video. Great work man, and good luck in your endeavors. Thanks for the videos!
Thanks! I’m glad you liked them
What a series. Can't belive it's almost been a year. Congratulations on graduating and talking more about a visual novel than I ever thought possible. Mr. Cat and I are still cheering you on from our bench so go get em.
Thanks for sticking around for so long!
And I think it did so magnificently through all it's symbolisms and wonderful characters
I've been wanting to write my own story and has sort of been working on it, and it's no easy feat at all, so seeing Clannad being able to convey so many beautiful tales that ultimately end in bittersweet happiness most definitely brings me to tears of joy.
I dont usually comment but I love Clannad and ive especially been loving this series so thank you
Glad to hear it!
Thanks for all the work you put into this series. Sad to see the end of it, but I look forward to seeing what comes next!
No problem, and thank you!
Thank you! Also hell yeah, I'm binging my way through all the Yakuza games rn
Awesome video as always, I love clannad and it's good to see people still making videos about it
Thanks! Happy to hear it
Thank you, and congratulations on your graduation.
Thank you!
This meant ignoring Kyou when I used Tomoyo to do basketball lol
i cant believe its over but like i do with the show ill continue to keep it alive and watch it whenever i can
Hell yeah
i never thought i would feel that same feeling of what now after a good anime ending for a youtube series.
Thank you for the kind words! I appreciate it a lot
All the best for your future
Thanks, you too!
Who knows, I might find myself talking about it in depth some day
@@Totaraum Fair enough. I'm looking forward to your new content whatever it may turn out to be! :)
Congratulations on graduating and finishing another chapter of what I hope will be a long book of your life.
Life is a ride, and with ups and downs, you are ougth to just enjoy it.
Having said that, I love your videos man. Keep the hard work, and you will be alright no matter what life may bring.
Thank you, I'll be sure to keep at it!
I'm glad you liked it so much, thanks for watching!
Welp, Time to replay the visual novel
Hell yeah
Thank you for making such a great series on such a wonderful story, and congratulations on graduating!
No problem, and thank you!
Congrats on your graduation from college! I hope your degree at least somewhat ties into your amazing scriptwriting because your video commentaries are quite phenomenal. Even tho Clannad doesn't hit as hard to home for me its hard to not view it as a form of masterpiece.
Thank you! Also it kind of does fit in, in a way?
Clannad is so good, no two ways about it. This will forever be, in my opinion, the greatest story ever written by man, thank you for reminding me just how great it is. Now time to rewatch it again, something tells me that after five viewings, and a reading of the VN, this story will still do something new! Thank you Jun Maeda, and thank you Tota!
Ps. Congrats on the graduation!
Hope you enjoy it, also thank you!
Ive read hundreds of books seens hundreds of film played and listned to thousands of songs yet clannad is reslly the only thing that has made me feel at one with the world. I wonder what inspired the visual novel. Theres nothing like it
Also the voice actors are next level, i couldnt imagine how emotionally loaded those performances must of been. Theres times where i consider clannad a perfect piece of media. I think im ready to rewafch it
Totaraum you can't fool me, the existence of clannad was all your idea to make us buy your patreon but guess what, I'm not gonna fall for that
Alright but jokes aside, you made me appreciate this anime way more, I'm totally gonna rewatch and even buy and play the $50 visual novel, but this time not as a sad school slice of live anime, but as a valuable lesson of life that I will try not to forget
Thank you for giving me this whole new perspective and for bringing all these memories back while also making me laugh, I hope the best for you
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it, and hope you like the visual novel even more!
Glad to hear it, and early congratulations on graduating!
I'm still watching but I just got to 20:30 and remembered what that little weirdo Tomoya was deciding on lmao
thank you for this series... clannad is perfect for me too
No problem! Thank you for watching it
I'll gladly take responsibility for somebody getting into the VN lol. Let me know what you think when you finish it!
@@Totaraum I'll leave another comment on this video when I'm done then!
@@ErikkBruhMomento sounds good
CLANNAD is a fictional story more real than life.
Excited to see where the channel goes next :)
Glad to hear it!
Alright gamers, time to watch this video and absolutely emotionally destroy myself 💪
Hell yeah
Bravo!! 👏
I'm going to miss you talking about Clannad but just like the show and the VN, it does have to end eventually (unless you have something you didn't explore yet but I'm guessing that isn't the case.)
Nah, other than a compilation video this is where I let Clannad rest for now. I'm sure I'll find a way to talk about it more in the future
Maybe read the manga idk
good shit my man

goodbye Clannad
I know people comment this all the time to the point that it's cliché
But i genuinely, sincerely, and legitimately believe it's a crime that your channel isn't rocking at least 100K subs.
14:32 am i trippin balls i thought they got married in season 1 at the school during fukos arc
They do, but in the VN that only happens when you do Fuko's arc. Since After Story only takes place after doing Nagisa's route the wedding was just put off for 7 more years
Thank you so much for making this series! Do you have any plans to read Little Busters as well?
No problem! I've read about half of little busters, still gotta finish it
Oh god, what is there left to talk about? I feel like you're hitting the bottom of the barrel, or maybe you haven't. I don't know, I'm not you
@@msyon. Just a compilation video to buy me more time to work on the next upload
@@Totaraum Smooth move buster, basically filler. I see
Tota, thank You very much! Are You going to post a review on Tomoyo After in the near future?
PS The main menu music after obtaining 13 orbs got me goosebumps (the orbs were somehow 'singing' on their own way).
no problem! Also probably not, I'm thinking of branching out now that Clannad is over

Why did the credits make me cry ? Lol
It is a beautiful song
