I love that this series that's endless rage for so many people is just your, "The friends we made along the way."
If I had a comfort series, it's probably Pokemon as that was my first game ever.

You know, honestly I never thought of it that way but that's exactly what it is. The dark soul was quite literally the friends I made along the way.

Jesus Christ I can't believe our first series was 8 years ago. That is insane to me. We joke about you being young, but it really hit me when you said you were 19 when we first played DS3 together haha.
I'll definitely echo your sentiments that Dark Souls 3 is a real comfort game now. Very easy to go back and play at any point. I would also personally add the other two and Elden Ring to my own list of comfort games haha.
It was 2021 that we did the all achievement run by the way, and that's one of my favourite playthroughs we've ever done.
