I do still think this game has a lot of potential, and I believe the developer is genuinely passionate which is part of what you really need for an Early Access game to thrive.

Shadows Die Mice is such a good title haha. I agree with pretty much everything you said! I almost quit the game entirely during the maze level too, so I think they really need to workshop that for full release or risk a lot of people refunding at that point.

I got through to the forest area after that but then I was right back to the shack place and just have up after that.
