- Hey guys! We're back yet again with another Cook & Review video, and this time our meal takes the throne for the best freeze dried backpacking meal I've ever tried. This is the Cauliflower Forest Chicken Risotto by RightOnTrek and it is absolutely amazing. I was hesitant to try this one, but after eating it I'm pretty thrilled with my decision to do so.

It's absolutely 5 Star Dining! I was honestly so surprised how good this one was.

Hmm.. I don't know the shelf life off the top of my head, but I'll check out my other meal by them and report back :) I'm sure an Uncrustable PB&J would beat most MREs!
Unfortunately they are not open to sponsoring the channel at this time (I tried). They said they were still small and would work on creating something like that in the future. We'll see!
Ahh the ol' wooden spoon! I actually hand carved that last year out of some cherry wood! It's great for bear and mountain lion defense.

I’m not a big fan of pot cookin’, although it’s not a deal breaker, but my interest is peaked a bit. I might just give it a try.👍
Yeah that's the only downside to these meals. So far the two meals have been top notch in my opinion when it comes to flavor, but the cleanup takes away from that a bit. If you try it you'll have to let me know what you think!
