Yesssss! A fishing guide. Ive been playing off and on and finally actually getting into the game over the past 3 months. And I finally made it to lvl 80 on my only class and now I'm trying out all the gathering and crafting professions. Only issue I had was getting kicked out the novice network. Lol. I still don't know how half of the stuff in the game works. And that's NOT a negative to me. Everything is so...... extensive. Thank you so much for this guide. From a sprout masquerading as a learned player lol.
Check out Zane lionheart hes videos will carry you threw crafting and gathering by the end of it you will be on your way to end game crafting and gathering
Only doing the fishing due to the Mog event so starting from scratch. What gear do i need to buy or wear? Starting from level one and all day of playing ive managed to get to level 40 and find it impossible to complete the quest. So other than leveling, is there a point in doing this?
For spear fishing…what gear level do I need to be at? I’m level 61 but new to SF and none of these boxes around a fish shows up. I wanted to chalk it up as they are just being aholes….naw…they still are in my book…..but help is appreciated greatly. Thanks!!
Can you still access ocean fishing?? I'm lvl 50 fisher and the quest to initiate ocean fishing still hasn't appeared for me at all. I've finished all of the role quests leading up to lvl 50 as well but haven't seen it from fhilsnoe
It occurs every 2 hours, the website will tell you when. The port is in Limsa Lominsa, teleport to the Arcanist guild and walk to the port. Took me a bit to find it
10/10 guide, got to fisher level 80 and my wife came back because of this vid

i appreciate the OSRS comparisons that’s my only reference for an MMO and this game is extraordinarily different from OSRS.

That was literally the luckiest ocean fishing run…3 specs and 90% end bonus lol. Guess I’ll just keep grinding till I get lucky like that!

Fishing trawler was miserableeee. Full anglers took me like 27 hours. I’d rather not talk about it 😭😭

Hey, is there anything I can do with the fish caught while Ocean Fishing other than vendor them to an NPC?
Most of them are useless on the MB, but if you have Culinarian leveled up you can desynth them for material/desynth xp. Otherwise just sell them!
