I finished the insulation in almost a day. It went quick because I had enough to complete the project. The second day was just doing small fill-in of the gaps and then I used expanding foam insulation in the gaps after the door was in between the frame and the studs.

Looks great! Just finished insulating mine over the Christmas break. Smart wearing safety gear. Wish I was as smart lmao. Didn’t think i would of been this itchy lol

Yeah no kidding. I have had too many itchy nights after working with insulation so decided to play it safe. I have a feeling this is a little less itchy than glass insulation

did you use pressure treaded lumber for the base plate of your walls? Im planning out my own sauna project, but I wasnt sure if mixing a confined space, heat, and the chemicals in pressure treated lumber is a good idea.

@danieleshbach6711 yes, anything that touches concrete needs to be pressure treated or it will rot from the moisture in the concrete. I was also thinking about the chemicals in this wood, but it should not be an issue because the temperature at the floor is much lower than higher up. Don’t finish any wood on walls or seating because this could cause an issue. They do make some special oils for treating sauna seating to keep from staining from sweat but I did not use it and have not seen any problems.

@@handyhomerepairs Thanks for the response and perspective. I was leaning this direction but it's great to hear a perspective from someone who's done this project. Thank you!
