Buddy Rich was a force of nature when it came to drumming, his playing has permanently marked his place in history as one of the all-time greats. But 35 years on from his passing, how much influence does his playing still have on the modern drummers of 2022?
Join us as Robert Brian (self-professed Buddy Rich fanboy) takes us through some of the killer reasons that Buddy's playing is still so relevant today.

I,m an old man but I saw Buddy live many times! I remember community boards at college,,, wanted drummer! No buddy or ginger!! I haunt jazz jam sessions and avoid trying to play obvious buddy licks but he definitely influenced me!

That kit sounds mega too btw, very much what Phil Selway used in his early Radiohead day's, he replaced that DW kit with a Premier Signia Maple, not a bad kit either tbf, bit more beefier than the DW offering used, more rock end i suppose?
That DW sounds particularly jazz spicy. Niiiiice...
Btw I'm 52 and still love drums, playing them, their differences and then of course, groove's, and how they work feels, fills
And of course snare rudiments.
